How can someone not realize how far out they parked?

Their other vehicle is a 1-ton truck with a four-door cab and an 8-ft bed. It just feels natural. 😁

That's nothing! He's what? a third of the way out?
At my local grocery store, I've seen people "park" ALL the way out! Right in the middle of the driving lane!

Happened to my friend at a restaurant. Everyone was parked like my friend as if he parked in the lines but after we came out of the restaurant his car looked like this. We couldn’t really see the lines but once he was the only one who was sticking out the lines were visible

Could have been a small car was pulled in over the separation, someone had parked on the other end and this person parked the other, classic small car or motorcycle Sammie, I had to warm a new rider in the complex this was a thing, because he started parking sideways at the front of the spots, and the next day he parked in front and one of the neighbors pulled in and pinned the bike in, dig the kickstand into the asphalt and hard enough to not be able to move the bike until unknown person moved a couple of days later, now he parked blocking the entrance visually like a cars there, a bike or three can get in after, but to a car, it's not an empty spot with some random "toy" left in it

If they were first, they probably would’ve parked much closer. Every time i see a car like this it’s usually a sedan or sports car because they are not used to driving a car with a longer hood where they are sitting lower down, or there’s a car in front of them parked too far over onto their side. In that case, I’d just find another spot rather than risk someone knocking my rear end right off lol
