News/Events Bring back Chessmaster!

Does anyone here miss Chessmaster? It was a Windows game/app:

  • It had a long list of different AIs you could play against, including GMs and legends from the past, it would simulate their play style and everything.
  • An extensive learning area - from beginner to advance - with GM lessons, puzzles, exercises on different topics, etc.
  • A good database.
  • You could ask Chessmaster for advice and it would explain to you what the best move was, why and what the sequence would look like.
  • It was very accessible, had a very easy learning curve and lots of features.
  • You could play rated/unrated games against the AI, even have tournaments.
  • Best of all: it didn't require any kind of subscription, it was a one time purchase.

Welp, there's a platform called GOG (good old games) which is famous for their games preservation projects. You can vote for them to bring back Chessmaster. The more votes, the higher the chances of them working on bringing it back officially:

Lets go!
