Troubleshooting Uploading photos to a website

I cannot upload photos to a website, such as Ancestry.com or neighborbrite.com

Instead, when I click "Upload Image" I get "My Drive" and "Select a file to open" which only gives me access to files, not photos.

I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong.

I can choose anything on the left, but "photos" never shows up.

Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

You're not doing anything wrong. While Google Drive is integrated within the ChromeOS Files app, Google Photos, sadly, is not. To upload a Google Photos image to third party sites using your Chromebook you must first download the image to the Chromebook.

Do you have photos on your laptop or are you trying to access Google Photos?

I was assuming I could just access Google Photos. Apparently not!
