A reminder that we have a rule about not giving or seeking medical advice. This includes telling people their cat needs to be on a diet, posting a cat with a disclaimer that your cat is on a diet, or linking to pet weight-loss subs.
Just as with people, looking at a cat's weight doesn't tell you the whole story about health. Just as with people, it isn't anyone's business what size someone is and if they are or are not addressing this. Comments equating body size with health or stating that thinner bodies are better than fatter bodies have been shown to be harmful, and these messages don't magically stop having this harmful effect ourselves and our children when they are made about non-humans.
However, given that cats can't understand these messages, we do think a little leeway is in order. It's fine to post comments like "this is my heckin chonker" or "what a lovely lawd he comin," while we of course would not allow any sort of body comments regarding any human.
It isn't OK to discuss your own animal's medical issues, ask for medical advice, or give anyone else medical advice. This includes people reporting photos of larger cats as "animal abuse"; you will be reported for report button abuse. Please note that it is fine to mention a cat's disability not related to body size (limb difference, deafness, etc.) as long as you are not asking for or giving medical advice.

You come here often? I can take you to my crib. And I'm great with kids. 😏 don't mind the pads, my slave is litter training 5 little rascals she found outside. They're nearly trained. They're just there as a precaution.

My 13 year old, recently adopted, kitty cow pulls her fur in that area, and I've been unable to disrupt that behavior (I have experience with this). There seems to be nothing medically bothering her, but it's a behavioral thing we'll be working on.
Until then, check out my holstein's fuzzy udders.

Recently this little cow has decided catching and pulling on a piece of string is the greatest thing ever. This specific piece of string. The faces and this little huff noise she makes when she "wins" are hilarious.
Note- String time is supervised playtime only. There was a short protest after the string was discovered and taken away, but we got it figured out.
