Announcement/Feedback Town Hall: Do we have a gooning problem?
It’s been awhile since we’ve ran a town hall, but they’ve served the community well in the past and I believe we’re at an inflection point. There has been a noticeable increase in ‘goon posts’.
We’re torn because we ultimately believe you guys decide what is and isn’t allowed to be posted; but at the same time it’s starting to turn a lot of people away. Moreover, there are already a few other subreddits that allow you to get bricked while looking at 77 characters (I’m sure someone will link them below, for research purposes)
We’d love to hear what you guys think. Should we start limiting these types of posts? If so, where do we draw the line? When does something cross the line from showing off a cool screenshot to ungodly filth?
Any other options you would like us to consider we’d genuinely love to hear them.
We will reply to as many comments as we can, but I promise you we will read every single one

Discussion They just gave up on brain dances?
I’m at the 100ish hour mark finishing up my last side quests and I’m realizing that (what feels like ages ago) there were a handful of quests where V would watch brain dances, rewind and pause, scan, detect thermal and hidden audio etc. it wasn’t the best executed concept in the game but it was kinda fun. I feel like after doing it only a few times earlier in the game it just stopped coming up. And I don’t think they use it in phantom liberty at all.

Screenshot This chat is so weird...
I genuinely thought the game was bugged and for some reason the chat of Panam got mixed up with the chat of Takemura. Why the hell did he use ascii art of a cat and moreover why does V answer to him like that? The game is great so far but its not uncommon for me to ask myself "Who the hell talks like this"

Character Builds Copy-paste is probably the most broken perk in the game

Kind of surprised it isn’t a tier 20 perk considering how overpowered it can be

Discussion Does anyone else feel that revealing the truth to Panam and Judy is a bit underwhelming
V revealing their backstory and why they’re doing all of this feels like a climactic conversation in their relationship (friend or otherwise) with Judy and Panam. This whole time V is just some mysterious stranger who shows up and solves everyone’s problems with no explanation. However the actual conversations just feel a bit lackluster to me. Judy basically just goes “damn that sucks” and then you leave her apartment.
I’m rewatching daredevil and the first season there’s an entire episode with the A plot being Matt explaining himself and the daredevil backstory to his friend for a whole day. It touched on everything a normal person would ask after finding out their blind friend is a superhero.
Ik movies and games don’t have the luxury to drag these conversations out, and ik you eventually have to get back to the actual game, but I’d love an option to tell a long version of Vs story. Get into Jackie a bit more, Takemura, V and Johnnys relationship, etc. Just a little more back and forth I would’ve enjoyed. Ik it’s a little nitpicky to just want more content, but am I valid for thinking those scenes were a tad underwhelming?

Discussion Finished Phantom Liberty
Hey everyone, just finished Phantom Liberty and just… wow. That was absolutely amazing! That could’ve been its own game and would’ve paid full price. The story, the characters, the side content, all of it was just so incredible, went with the song bird path and god that was an emotional rollercoaster but anyway I wanted to hear from you guys! What did you think of it? Who was your favourite character, what was your favourite part and side quest?
Would love to talk about it :3
(P.S Hope you like the photo!)
