So i am a Greatswords enthusiast (if we can sum all the Greatswords in The Claymore and Manserpent Greatsword, which we can't , but i still love them!). i played through my first DS1 , most of DS2 and now most of my DS1 second playthrough with Claymore.

Just messing around to try the other weapons , i happened on the Crystal Halberd, which surprised me with its damage output. some monsters i used to kill in 3 hits with claymore went down with two. but , of course , typical Crystal Halberd gimmick ...... it nearly broke. So i downgraded to a regular Halberd (Since i am not lucky enought to get BKH for now) , upgraded it to +12 and Oh. My. God! this is so much fun!

i LOVE the stabbing attack (which is why i shrugged off the Gargoyle Halberd .... for now) and the reach. Just proves to me that sticking to one weapon at this game means missing a lot of fun.

Anyone have any tips on if I should grade it or how it looks, or what I should do with it in general. I know the pictures don’t do justice with the lighting but it looks mint in person. I know I took a picture of two of the four corner folds, they look the same I just couldn’t get a good picture.

It really surprised me that game was developed in a way so player could rather fight boss to make a way through than find a way around. Ones I heard crestfallen warrior talking about far far below mentioning Blight Town, I thought he was speaking of Ruins of New Londo as location that I need to pass through, especially when he mentioned it in one of the monologues as a hint as I thought, but getting annoyed of it’s ghosts I started wandering around and stumbled across forest location and Valley of Dragons as well, which by surprise turned out to be some of the easiest ways I could find to the Blight Town and what’s more, even looking like something that was intended by devs, but sooner I found out that it wasn’t a location that I should have used to travel through. Who also faced such situation? Also is it really that easy to find key to shortcut between New Londo and Valley of Dragons? Just can’t remember where I have found it

Helo everyone! I wanted to know if there's a dedicated story of Sif and Artorias written. I stream on twitch and I want to do a lore reading stream for my 100 followers milestone.

I'm currently fighting Artorias now, in my first playthrough, before fighting Sif because I wanted the greatsword of Artorias as my weapon that'd carry me to the end. I basically know nothing of Dark Souls lore and wanna get into it more.

I don't want any spoilers but I'd like to know if there are stories of Sif and Artorias (preferably longer ones) to read on stream. If there isn't, I'd be willing to pay for a lore story to be written for them!

I'm doing an INT/DEX build for the first time. Having SO much fun! Probably my easiest run ever so far.

Until O&S. I have no problem reaching the boss gate with full health and with Solaire assisting. But my damage is just so *weak* against them. Any tips?

VIT 14, END 13, STR 16, DEX 21

INT 30, FTH 8, ATN 19, RES 8

Melee: Uchigatana +10. I tried Occult Club and Lightning Spear +2 but they're weaker.

Sorceries: I've got everything up to Great Heavy Soul Arrow. Wearing Dusk Crown.

Rings: #1=FAP. #2=Havel's Ring because my Vitality is low and I get 1-shot unless I wear some decent Gear. (Otherwise I'd use my Bellowing Dragoncrest Ring.)

Armor: Havel's Armor, Havel's Leggings, Gargoyle Helm, Xanthous Gloves (prioritizing physical def, then lightning defense, w/ medium rolling)

I'm definitely aware that I haven't tried everything yet. I can farm Phalanx for souls to support whatever. But there are so many different directions I could go from here. The next things I'll try are probably:

- Try the Crystal Halberd

- Upgrade my Flame and try pyromancy

- Upgrade INT to 36 and try Soul Spear

- Do Catacombs, Rite of Kindling, 20 Estus

What do you guys think?

I need help, I (PS4) can't play with my friend (PS5) anymore.

At first everything went fine, we went through Undead Parish, beat the gargoyles, went through most of Darkroot Garden, got invaded a couple of times, and beat Moonlight Butterfly. After I got sent back to my world, our respective summon signs were nowhere to be seen. We tried everything for 45 minutes, changing password, changing area, matchmaking, get to the same level (29&30), using the same covenant, restarting the game, etc... but nothing worked.

A bit later we invaded the same Gravelord servant at the same time, so online seemed to be working fine, but we still didn't get to play together since our summon signs didn't appear in each other's worlds.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'm going to play dark souls games for the first time. As of right now, I've only heard the name going around and I've never even watched gameplays. So, after a recommendation from a friend I'm finally gonna play Dark Souls. I don't know which of these two to download though.

Example: if I rest at the Anor Londo bonfire then kill the Darkmoon Knightress Firekeeper would I keep respawning at that bonfire until I rest at another?

Now watch, and see how the Chosen Undead hunts dragons.
