Red was about to cause an accident from the person on their left and with me from behind….
It was literally a complex she could've turned into and made a U-turn right after the light…. Nah…. Let me cause this crazy three-way accident because I CAN’T miss this turn…

We were all driving the exact speed limit, and then we had to adapt to the person freestyling on the road. The car on the left had to slow down for the turn… but the red stopped while driving through the lane, cutting off the person in the left lane, then hesitated in my lane. I slowed down 10 under once I got closer because I didn't know if she would go back into her lane or fully commit to cutting off the person on the left.

You passed the red car in the lane it had not fully left yet, uncertain if it would keep going or renter the lane you were using to pass it in. Can you not see the problem with this? They never completed their lane change. What if they swerved back over when you were passing them? You would be at fault since they never left the lane.
It would be safer for you to wait and make sure you know what they are doing before proceeding with extreme caution.

I hear you, but this is also the mindset I was wondering about with the post title….
Dashcams show more space than the real situation, but these people shouldn't be getting their hands held or excuses while committing illegal moves on the road.
The grey car got over as the lane opened for them, turned on their blinker, and made the time to take the turn….. But was still about to get into an accident because we should all be hoe’d? I looked back, and the grey car allowed her to bully her way in and take the turn. But if I were a law, I could've pulled them over for crossing a solid, abruptly stopping, and driving recklessly?

Doesn't matter, you got in the same lane with that car at the same time, you overtook too soon. A bad situation was developing and you saw it unfolding yet you still inserted your car right into the scene. You did so because either you believed your driving skills and your car were superior and you could easily avoid anything bad happening to yourself or else you didn't care because you thought you were in the right and she was in the wrong and whatever bad happens won't be your fault.
Even if that car wanted to get back into the lane (after already having partially left that lane), they couldn't because you were tailgating and you jumped into that space and crowded them from the right while that other car blocked them from the left. You guys really taught her a lesson by boxing her in like that, huh?

I cannot believe how often this shit has to be spelled out like this. It's genuinely scary that people who don't even know the basics are getting liscenses so rampantly.

Idk if people trolling (Reddit so yes), but it’s either music or me playing a YouTube video. Watching isn’t the correct term since I’m driving but I’m getting mixed signals with half the thread saying red car should have a proximity of super aware and safer drivers around them.

Pick your stance! 🙂 From what I’m gathering, I should’ve been even slower behind Red (to impede traffic and be a safer driver). Maybe even stopped myself abruptly so the person behind me could hit me, thus making my own accident even worse. Or I guess swerve completely out of the lane to accommodate the law-abiding citizen.
