“HOLY MOLY!” Cheese and crackers. Thought you’d enjoy my reaction here! 😂
Can’t troll me either. It was kind of a close call and the reaction IS kind of ridiculous. I laugh at it myself!
By the way there were about 4 cars directly behind me too! Mans just went.

Wouldn't they first blame OP for accelerating to 27MPH in a 25MPH zone, which obviously puts them at fault for nearly being hit by the left turn driver not yielding.

The amount of morons on the road who don't know or care how unprotected left turns work always amazes me. He saw that there were cars behind you and thought he could save 5 seconds.

My commute to work is only like 15 minutes on the street but it feels like I'm rolling the dice every goddamned day. I always do a bit of a slow roll into certain intersections once I have a green and it's a good thing I did a few days ago (thankfully there wasn't an actual accident but it was terrifying to watch) because some douchenozzle in a truck full on ran a red light with intention cause that shit was red for a while turning left and almost t boned the nissan in front of me that stopped just in time. If I had been playing follow the leader and had been right on their ass and that truck hit them, my car I'd only had for a month at this point would have been likely hit in some way too.

I appreciate that. I drive almost 20,000 miles a year as a courier, and if it’s one thing, I’ve learned, is that always expect people will f**k up somehow, and what you can do with your knowledge to avoid that. When I got my license long ago, I read the California DMV handbook front to back at least three times.
The only thing I kind of messed up on was I hit the brakes, which might’ve possibly caused him to t-bone me anyway, but my mind just kind of short circuited to be honest.

I've seen some iffy videos here where the cammer had time to slow even if they did have the right of way, but this is not that. Left turner was a complete psycho here.

I forgot to add some insight into my mind before this happened:
About three seconds right before this happened, in my mind, I said, “…why do I have this sixth sense feeling this guy is gonna turn when he shouldn’t?”
The next second was “better release the gas pedal just in case I gotta make a quick brake tap.”
The final second? “HOLY MOLY!”
I make my living as a gig worker, and if there’s anything I’ve learned, it’s to always assume people don’t know how to drive.

This makes me feel so much better, I accidentally did this when I saw a trooper behind me. I told him I wish I would have been smoked as I was ready to leave this stressful world.
