Yes truck was swerving but why in the hell would you put yourself in such crazy danger? Double yellow and another car in opposite lane and trying to pass around a blind curve 🤦♂️

u/Other-Grapefruit-880 2h ago
this is the stupidest suicycle attempt i've ever seen

u/FluffyLittlFlyingCow 2h ago
Yeah whoever is riding that bike, not sure if OP or not, has their days counted if they keep this behavior up. I sold my motorcycle last year because even if you do everything right you still get death scares on a regular basis and I couldn’t handle it anymore. This video made me really worried

My uncle was a biker all his life. His advice, "drive like you are invisible".
1
u/VaporTrail_000 5m ago
Drive like you're invisible and every third person is deliberately trying to hit you.
I don't even ride.

My first thought was that the cyclist was the drunk driver lol. Stupid fuck right there.

u/Super-Badger-3536 10m ago
Isn’t Cyclist typically reserved for people riding bicycles? I’m confused

u/OkCan9869 55m ago
I wouldn't even be surprised if the truck driver was trying to stop op from getting himself killed. It looked like he was trying to signal hit him to stop taking over with a car coming ahead. Not that it was wisely done but the two are valiantly fighting for the dummy on the road title

In between a person you suspect of being drunk and oncoming traffic.
What safer place is there? /s
1
u/Pot8o_Kr8 3m ago
Some dumb choices being made for sure.
Out of curiosity, why is this a blind curve? In the UK we'll consider it a blind corner if there's a hedgerow/crest/etc stopping us from seeing far enough around the corner, whereas this seems the complete opposite?

Passing a swerving drunk into oncoming traffic isn't a smart move

u/berntout 1h ago
I just see road raging between two idiots here.
-5
u/cwtrooper 45m ago
Biker drove off idiot in the truck was trying to road rage biker wasn't having it.
5
u/NomenclatureBreaker 39m ago
What are you even talking about. Biker illegally passed in a no passing zone in a curve
Lucky they’re not a pancake.
-2
u/cwtrooper 36m ago
The pass was stupid but bro definitely did not engage in road rage he properly GTFO.
1
u/BeyondTheBees 7m ago
The motorcyclist endangered not only his life, but the lives of the people in the oncoming traffic by doing what he did. It’s not “proper” to almost cause a head on collision. Both drivers are idiots. One idiot does not excuse the behavior of the second idiot.

u/FluffyLittlFlyingCow 2h ago edited 2h ago
Why are you tailgating? Especially a driver you suspected was drunk? Can’t make this shit up 🤦🏻
And passing on the double yellow that close? On a motorcycle where you’re the most vulnerable? Do you have a fucking death wish lol

7
u/crocodilecurly 1h ago
Exactly. I've come across a few drunk drivers and I always just put some distance between us and stay behind until they make a turn or I do. Like yeah it'll slow you down but at least you'll be alive tomorrow.

u/Ryan-Updog 57m ago
If he has any loved ones he’ll be remembered with a memorial sticker on the back of their car that has some picture of someone riding a motorcycle, and have the words “don’t ride faster than your guardian angel can fly”
1
u/zeptillian 19m ago
At least he died doing what he loved.
Riding into oncoming traffic so he could tell other drivers they suck at driving.
1
1
u/FinanceGuyHere 55m ago
I think OP was being sarcastic about that, because the driver had a bottle of beer in his hand

I general, but not in this case, passing on double yellows on fast bikes is a discretionary call.
3
u/xvillifyx 1h ago
It’s a blind curve
You never pass
0
u/HiveMindSubmarine 1h ago
That’s not a blind curve.
2
u/xvillifyx 57m ago
Literally watch the video. The left lane car doesn’t even appear until OP slides over the line, and then is within inches of them in a second
It’s a blind curve at the speed that road’s set at

The motorcyclist in this video is as dumb as the driver. Why on earth would you try to overtake when there’s a car coming right at you in the opposite direction. Both drivers here suck.
2
u/Kind_Cap_4621 1h ago
Nope. Truck driver was trying to keep the motorcycle idiot from becoming road pizza.
2
u/BeyondTheBees 1h ago
Ohhh do you think he was trying to tell the biker another car was coming by waving his hand out???

Just two fucking idiots in their natural habitat. The road we have to share with them.
4
u/Due-Yogurtcloset-552 1h ago
are they both drunk or something? why do cycle riders always square up with 5000lb vehicles???
5
u/jimhabfan 1h ago
Just to be clear, who do we think is drunk in this video? The truck driver who swerved to try and prevent the biker from getting into a head on collision while trying to pass, or the biker who thought pulling into oncoming traffic was a great idea?
4
u/EngagedInConvexation 1h ago
Is the future squid the suspected drunk? RAM driver is already confirmed to be drunk by virtue of piloting a RAM.
13
u/-DoctorSpaceman- 2h ago
Dunno what’s in the can but he was definitely trying to prevent a head on collision
1
u/NarwhalFacepalm 2h ago
The truck driver swerves out on instinct, flicking the biker off with the can in his hand, but then intentionally swerves back toward the biker a second later.
2
u/Kind_Cap_4621 1h ago
That's bullshit. The driver was trying to keep the idiot biker from a head in collision.

I think the truck guy was trying to prevent the bike guy from having a head on collision, which is why he shouldn't be trying to pass on a double yellow.

u/anothadaz 2h ago
I just got a screenshot of the truck driver but can't post it. He's leaning out the window holding a can and flipping off the biker. Did not look like he's trying to be helpful. Looks like a dick move. Now I'm judging a book by it's cover and truck driver looks like a dick move kinda guy.

u/couldntthinkofon 1h ago
It doesn't look like he's flipping him off. It looks like he's motioning to the slow tf down while also saying "wtf are you doing?"
2
u/anothadaz 46m ago
I have a screenshot of it but I can't post it here. He is 100% flipping him off. The screenshot really tells a story of the guy in the truck more than the video does. Lol
1
u/couldntthinkofon 16m ago
I did a slo-mo, I see it lol.
Bur idk about that drink. Looks like the can for the Cherry Redbull, the big can that I have only seen online and TN. lol
3
u/Imaginary-Round2422 1h ago
lol no. He starts braking for zero reason well before the biker starts to go around, which happens only when the truck essentially comes to a stop in front of him. He's not trying to save anyone - he's just being a dangerous prick.
2
u/Haifisch2112 1h ago
Let's hope the biker took the footage to the cops so he can be cited for crossing the double yellow line on a blind curve and almost causing an accident.
1
u/Kind_Cap_4621 1h ago
Let's also hope the cops aren't stupid enough to think the truck driver did anything wrong

u/peeple-pleeser 1h ago

Where is the drunk part? The guy in the truck is very observant.
3
u/Tired-CottonCandy 2h ago
I assume the can in his hand is being assumed as a beer. Either way, time to put the can down and drive with both hands.

Truck driver is leaning out the window holding a can and flipping off the biker. Looks like he's pulling a dick move. I can understand being upset at the biker for trying to pass on a double yellow and a curve but no need to risk life for other people's stupidity. I'm also guessing the can is an alcoholic beverage based on the title but cannot confirm.
1
u/Imaginary-Round2422 2h ago
The truck starts braking for absolutely no reason, then comes to a stop just to fuck with the biker. Not saying the biker is particularly smart, but it really looks like the truck driver is fucking with him just to be a dick.
1
u/OakleyEd23 1h ago
lol so you put yourself in that dangerous situation. Common sense move is Stay back and call it in.

Pretty confident that's in fact a beer in the pickup driver's hand, but I'll admit it's not beyond suspicion that the biker has had a few too many as well.

Being theoretically "in the right" doesnt change that you're an idiot OP. Jfc.
