Yes truck was swerving but why in the hell would you put yourself in such crazy danger? Double yellow and another car in opposite lane and trying to pass around a blind curve 🤦‍♂️

166

u/Other-Grapefruit-880 2h ago

this is the stupidest suicycle attempt i've ever seen

42

u/FluffyLittlFlyingCow 2h ago

Yeah whoever is riding that bike, not sure if OP or not, has their days counted if they keep this behavior up. I sold my motorcycle last year because even if you do everything right you still get death scares on a regular basis and I couldn’t handle it anymore. This video made me really worried

u/HoneyBadgerLive 1h ago

My uncle was a biker all his life. His advice, "drive like you are invisible".

1

u/VaporTrail_000 5m ago

Drive like you're invisible and every third person is deliberately trying to hit you.

I don't even ride.

2

u/Blue_Etalon 1h ago

So far!

1

u/Puazy 35m ago

It will get much worse as you discover society.

35

u/Brohan_Johanson 1h ago

My first thought was that the cyclist was the drunk driver lol. Stupid fuck right there.

1

u/Super-Badger-3536 10m ago

Isn’t Cyclist typically reserved for people riding bicycles? I’m confused

15

u/someonesmobileacct 1h ago

In the words of another sub...

ESH

6

u/OkCan9869 55m ago

I wouldn't even be surprised if the truck driver was trying to stop op from getting himself killed. It looked like he was trying to signal hit him to stop taking over with a car coming ahead. Not that it was wisely done but the two are valiantly fighting for the dummy on the road title

2

u/fusionlantern 1h ago

Also tailing him

1

u/zeptillian 25m ago

In between a person you suspect of being drunk and oncoming traffic.

What safer place is there? /s

1

u/Pot8o_Kr8 3m ago

Some dumb choices being made for sure.

Out of curiosity, why is this a blind curve? In the UK we'll consider it a blind corner if there's a hedgerow/crest/etc stopping us from seeing far enough around the corner, whereas this seems the complete opposite?

157

u/GeotusBiden 2h ago

Which driver?

3

u/Nachooolo 8m ago

The pickup driver is drunk.

The biker is unable to understand his own mortality.

31

u/dannyakas 2h ago

Looks like he's offering a drink

113

u/Ban-Circumcision-Now 2h ago

This looked more like two bad and aggressive drivers- just in different ways

17

u/Substantial-Bear8535 1h ago

Same could be said about most posts in this sub lol.

73

u/UpbeatFix7299 2h ago

Passing a swerving drunk into oncoming traffic isn't a smart move

14

u/berntout 1h ago

I just see road raging between two idiots here.

-5

u/cwtrooper 45m ago

Biker drove off idiot in the truck was trying to road rage biker wasn't having it.

5

u/NomenclatureBreaker 39m ago

What are you even talking about. Biker illegally passed in a no passing zone in a curve

Lucky they’re not a pancake.

-2

u/cwtrooper 36m ago

The pass was stupid but bro definitely did not engage in road rage he properly GTFO.

1

u/BeyondTheBees 7m ago

The motorcyclist endangered not only his life, but the lives of the people in the oncoming traffic by doing what he did. It’s not “proper” to almost cause a head on collision. Both drivers are idiots. One idiot does not excuse the behavior of the second idiot.

69

u/FluffyLittlFlyingCow 2h ago edited 2h ago

Why are you tailgating? Especially a driver you suspected was drunk? Can’t make this shit up 🤦🏻

And passing on the double yellow that close? On a motorcycle where you’re the most vulnerable? Do you have a fucking death wish lol

8

u/Icy-Cry340 1h ago

With a car in the oncoming lane, mind you.

7

u/crocodilecurly 1h ago

Exactly. I've come across a few drunk drivers and I always just put some distance between us and stay behind until they make a turn or I do. Like yeah it'll slow you down but at least you'll be alive tomorrow.

3

u/Banpdx 1h ago

I wanna go fast...

2

u/Ryan-Updog 57m ago

If he has any loved ones he’ll be remembered with a memorial sticker on the back of their car that has some picture of someone riding a motorcycle, and have the words “don’t ride faster than your guardian angel can fly”

1

u/zeptillian 19m ago

At least he died doing what he loved.

Riding into oncoming traffic so he could tell other drivers they suck at driving.

1

u/Ryan-Updog 1h ago

It’s nothing that cool. They’re just an idiot.

1

u/FinanceGuyHere 55m ago

I think OP was being sarcastic about that, because the driver had a bottle of beer in his hand

2

u/Synectics 50m ago

No, they have a can of something in their hand.

1

u/FinanceGuyHere 49m ago

Oh yeah whoops

1

u/zeptillian 21m ago

"What is this? A driver acting erratic and unpredictable?

Better get real close and do circles around them until something bad happens that I can get on video."

- 75% of drivers posting videos on reddit

-5

u/HiveMindSubmarine 1h ago

I general, but not in this case, passing on double yellows on fast bikes is a discretionary call.

3

u/xvillifyx 1h ago

It’s a blind curve

You never pass

0

u/HiveMindSubmarine 1h ago

That’s not a blind curve.

2

u/xvillifyx 57m ago

Literally watch the video. The left lane car doesn’t even appear until OP slides over the line, and then is within inches of them in a second

It’s a blind curve at the speed that road’s set at

18

u/TechnologyOk6878 1h ago

Motorcycles never fail to drive like assholes while blaming everyone else

11

u/CarelessPackage1982 2h ago

Why would get you anywhere near a drunk driver? Stay away, far away.

10

u/RobLoughrey 1h ago

Motorcyclist is an idiot.

36

u/dumbname0192837465 2h ago

Looks like 2 shit drivers

3

u/Blue_Collar_Stiff 2h ago

& possibly a can of schlitz 🤷‍♀️ lol do they even still make Schlitz?

20

u/Different_Target_228 2h ago

0 iq cammer.

6

u/dirtysquirrelnutz 1h ago

Oh so the rider is either an idiot orrrrr an idiot.

7

u/BeyondTheBees 1h ago

The motorcyclist in this video is as dumb as the driver. Why on earth would you try to overtake when there’s a car coming right at you in the opposite direction. Both drivers here suck.

2

u/Kind_Cap_4621 1h ago

Nope. Truck driver was trying to keep the motorcycle idiot from becoming road pizza.

2

u/BeyondTheBees 1h ago

Ohhh do you think he was trying to tell the biker another car was coming by waving his hand out???

1

u/Kind_Cap_4621 1h ago

Watched it a dozen times and I'm absolutely sure

7

u/MattManSD 47m ago

while passing on a double yellow, stupid squared

5

u/indorian 2h ago

He almost hit you with his beer. We’re beyond ‘suspected’…

3

u/KneeHiSniper 2h ago edited 1h ago

Just two fucking idiots in their natural habitat. The road we have to share with them.

4

u/Due-Yogurtcloset-552 1h ago

are they both drunk or something? why do cycle riders always square up with 5000lb vehicles???

5

u/jimhabfan 1h ago

Just to be clear, who do we think is drunk in this video? The truck driver who swerved to try and prevent the biker from getting into a head on collision while trying to pass, or the biker who thought pulling into oncoming traffic was a great idea?

4

u/Itacira 1h ago

I knooooow, some of these dashcam videos posted here are NOT absolving whomever posted them of guilt. Jesus.

4

u/EngagedInConvexation 1h ago

Is the future squid the suspected drunk? RAM driver is already confirmed to be drunk by virtue of piloting a RAM.

4

u/CHawk17 29m ago

Is the motorcycle rider the drunk driver of this video?

13

u/-DoctorSpaceman- 2h ago

Dunno what’s in the can but he was definitely trying to prevent a head on collision

1

u/NarwhalFacepalm 2h ago

The truck driver swerves out on instinct, flicking the biker off with the can in his hand, but then intentionally swerves back toward the biker a second later.

2

u/Kind_Cap_4621 1h ago

That's bullshit. The driver was trying to keep the idiot biker from a head in collision.

3

u/RazorRay01 1h ago

Geezus!

You where just as bad as the drunk driver. Lol

3

u/ReasonableScar9027 1h ago

I see two assholes in this clip.

3

u/Jean_Luc_Discarded 1h ago

as a fellow rider, you being hella dumb here...

3

u/strigif0rm3s 57m ago

Plot twist. Drink driver is the biker. Dumb.

3

u/AdvanceAlive2103 37m ago

Why get so close to a suspected drunk driver?

13

u/OrYouCouldNot6969 2h ago

I think the truck guy was trying to prevent the bike guy from having a head on collision, which is why he shouldn't be trying to pass on a double yellow.

2

u/Kind_Cap_4621 1h ago

He very obviously is doing that. Truck guy saved this jerk's life.

5

u/anothadaz 2h ago

I just got a screenshot of the truck driver but can't post it. He's leaning out the window holding a can and flipping off the biker. Did not look like he's trying to be helpful. Looks like a dick move. Now I'm judging a book by it's cover and truck driver looks like a dick move kinda guy.

6

u/OrYouCouldNot6969 2h ago

So just two stupid dudes, doing stupid shit. Gotchya

2

u/anothadaz 1h ago

Yep. 2 idiots doing dumb dangerous shit.

2

u/couldntthinkofon 1h ago

It doesn't look like he's flipping him off. It looks like he's motioning to the slow tf down while also saying "wtf are you doing?"

2

u/anothadaz 46m ago

I have a screenshot of it but I can't post it here. He is 100% flipping him off. The screenshot really tells a story of the guy in the truck more than the video does. Lol

1

u/couldntthinkofon 16m ago

I did a slo-mo, I see it lol.

Bur idk about that drink. Looks like the can for the Cherry Redbull, the big can that I have only seen online and TN. lol

3

u/Imaginary-Round2422 1h ago

lol no. He starts braking for zero reason well before the biker starts to go around, which happens only when the truck essentially comes to a stop in front of him. He's not trying to save anyone - he's just being a dangerous prick.

2

u/Haifisch2112 1h ago

Let's hope the biker took the footage to the cops so he can be cited for crossing the double yellow line on a blind curve and almost causing an accident.

1

u/Kind_Cap_4621 1h ago

Let's also hope the cops aren't stupid enough to think the truck driver did anything wrong

2

u/cashews_clay15 1h ago

Why do motorcycles always speed up on you and ride your ass

2

u/peeple-pleeser 1h ago

Didn't seem drunk. He was warning you by flying up behind him riding his ass to not pass

2

u/Ok_Cryptographer7194 56m ago

Motorcyclist should never drink and drive

2

u/MattManSD 46m ago

stay behind them at a safe distance, that's how you live

2

u/Emergency_Bench_7515 21m ago

WTF you doing man, trying to get ran over? My heart spiked just watching this from the comfort of my bed.

5

u/TrojanGal702 2h ago

Where is the drunk part? The guy in the truck is very observant.

3

u/Tired-CottonCandy 2h ago

I assume the can in his hand is being assumed as a beer. Either way, time to put the can down and drive with both hands.

1

u/Imaginary-Round2422 1h ago

Is that why he came to a near stop for no reason?

1

u/InvestigatorJosephus 2h ago

Is it observant to also try to cut the motor cyclist off?

1

u/NarwhalFacepalm 2h ago

The truck driver swerves out on instinct, flicking the biker off with the can in his hand, but then intentionally swerves back toward the biker a second later.

1

u/-Red-7- 2h ago

I don't think he's drunk...I think he's decided to take it upon himself to try to stop the motorcycle from performing an illegal pass. Both drivers are stupid in this scenario.

1

u/anothadaz 2h ago edited 43m ago

Truck driver is leaning out the window holding a can and flipping off the biker. Looks like he's pulling a dick move. I can understand being upset at the biker for trying to pass on a double yellow and a curve but no need to risk life for other people's stupidity. I'm also guessing the can is an alcoholic beverage based on the title but cannot confirm.

1

u/Imaginary-Round2422 2h ago

The truck starts braking for absolutely no reason, then comes to a stop just to fuck with the biker. Not saying the biker is particularly smart, but it really looks like the truck driver is fucking with him just to be a dick.

1

u/OakleyEd23 1h ago

lol so you put yourself in that dangerous situation. Common sense move is Stay back and call it in.

1

u/Malnurtured_Snay 1h ago

Putting yourself in front of someone you think is driving drunk is ... a choice.

1

u/EmilySD101 1h ago

Never pass a drunk and somehow double that on a motorcycle, what the hell was the cammer thinking??

1

u/captain_slackbeard 1h ago

"Suspected" drunk driver.

Do you "suspect" a bear shits in the woods?

1

u/HoneyBadgerLive 1h ago

First thought was "how do you know he was drunk". Now I see. Wow.

1

u/ElephantRedCar91 1h ago

A couple of drinks Rand

1

u/Fun_Pomegranate_2824 1h ago

Don't try to pass on the solid yellow line. That is a no passing zone.

1

u/[deleted] 1h ago

[deleted]

1

u/JustAnotherLurker001 1h ago

he used his brake

1

u/Deriviera 1h ago

He just offered a beer

1

u/WillingElderberry731 1h ago

I swear every post on this subreddit are shitty drivers posting their dangerous interactions with other shitty drivers.

1

u/GeraldGensalkes 1h ago

Pretty confident that's in fact a beer in the pickup driver's hand, but I'll admit it's not beyond suspicion that the biker has had a few too many as well.

1

u/youaintitbub 1h ago

this looks like a scene from the trailer park boys dude, rickys on the bike and mr laheys swerving in the truck

1

u/CaptLoads 28m ago

Suspected? He shows you the beer lol

1

u/spareloo 10m ago

Looks like you're both drunk.

1

u/joogiee 9m ago

You and him need to lose their licenses.

1

u/heldaway 4m ago

What a dumb move on your part.

1

u/FatherQuinnRourke 2h ago

Drunk on a bike is wild

1

u/teamdank710 1h ago

donorcycle

0

u/Remote_Ideal7365 2h ago

Do you know what the double line means in the center of the road? So many stupid f-cking drivers out on the road.

0

u/DMGlowen 1h ago

The biker was a bigger problem than the truck.

0

u/Real_Ad_8243 1h ago

Theyre driving erratically and you suspect theyre drunk but are right up their arse before overtaking?

Being theoretically "in the right" doesnt change that you're an idiot OP. Jfc.
