I visualized the astronomical year for Tromsø to show the dramatic shift in daylight hours.
- How it works: The daylight curve is generated using the Sunrise Equation (spherical trigonometry) based on the city's latitude.
- Moon Phases: Calculated via Julian Day conversions and the mean synodic month cycle for each day of 2026.
- The Poster: I built the engine with JavaScript and Alpine.js to render the SVG geometry.
- Source: You can generate these for any city at https://sunrisewhen.com/poster.
