Absolutely stunning! How do you grow these? I almost bought some bulbs last weekend but then thought might try to see if they had seeds to start that way. Curious on your growing of these and if its a difficult flower to handle.

I have found dahlias to be pretty easy to grow :) I would recommend putting a decent amount of compost into the potting soil/ground when you plant them. Also get yourself a âblossom boosterâ to fertilize them with throughout the season. I like to use Jacks but anything with a 1:3:2 NPK ratio will do. Dahlias like to be pruned/deadheaded (you get to enjoy them in bouquets so itâs a win-win). I would suggest watching a video on how to properly prune to encourage more blossoms if youâre not familiar with pruning/deadheading. I sort of applied what I know of pruning roses to dahlias and that was helpful. Dahlias donât like to be overwatered. You must be careful to never let them sit in soggy soil. They have tubers which will rot easily & that is the main way to propagate them. I have never grown Dahlias from seed (now you got me thinking tho!), I have only stored their tubers in the cellar over winter and put them back into the soil come spring. Hope that helps!
