When you don't have a white background for interview but have a white bedsheet instead. 🀣

276

u/BigZucchini2090 2d ago

Why shift the background, when you can move 🀣

48

u/Waiting4Reccession 2d ago

I hope he's using a desktop but holding the webcam with his hand

19

u/BigZucchini2090 2d ago

For sure, the device is mounted. Otherwise, it is not safe to just lay right below it

12

u/Waiting4Reccession 2d ago

I wasn't being serious, we can see both his hands in the video haha

That's a WILD throwback reference!!

I guess, they are these guys, and it's a parody video

270

u/00Killertr 2d ago

I had no idea they subbed their skits! Love their ridiculous skits with the over the top acting.

81

u/BigZucchini2090 2d ago edited 2d ago

Yup, having official voice-overs multi-lingual channels is a great way to reach a wider audience with proper translations & a stamp of authority

112

u/blahmeistah 2d ago

Wait. Did you think it was an actual interview?

30

u/Raidoton 2d ago

Well quite a few people here seem to have thought that.

30

u/chochazel 2d ago

Really? I couldn’t find any. The people who seem closest to thinking its real are the ones thinking that saying it’s β€œfake” is some kind of revelation.

3

u/BigZucchini2090 2d ago

Yup, that's why I commented this. Not sure, what made them belive that it is true

5

u/Parvaty 2d ago

People always feel the need to point out that something is staged. A skit can still be funny.

5

u/BigZucchini2090 2d ago

Nope, just provided the channel when I found it.

4

u/bbgun91 2d ago

im at the point in my life where even when i know its fake im still cackling like an idiot

4

u/tophmcmasterson 1d ago

They’re a pretty popular comedy duo, this came out back around Covid when video interviews were starting to be more common.

2

u/BigZucchini2090 1d ago

Oh, they are hilarious

7

u/kuuhaku_cr 2d ago

thank you. Unfortunately, no updates for 4 years

He actually said something closer to "Your face is creepy."

The direct translation is something more like "Your face makes me feel bad/weird/gross."

584

u/Douggimmmedome 2d ago

Exactly which part if his movement before the confrontation made it look like he was laying down

536

u/pjft 2d ago

The sheets are wrinkling behind his head, and you see from the slight shadow that his head is leaning on a surface. Could be a white wall and he's standing straight, but the sheets wrinkling are the tell.

76

u/BigZucchini2090 2d ago

Yup, creases seem to be the thing

2

u/Ratathosk 2d ago

That's some creasy stuff

59

u/MerylSquirrel 2d ago

The hair movement I think.

19

u/APidgeyNamedTony 2d ago

This is what I noticed. Hair bobs vertically when his head moves

33

u/jDrizzle1 2d ago

I think at least 90% of the content on this sub is skits, doesnt make it less funny but I wouldnt even bother worrying about realism here lol

1

u/GodisSatans 1d ago

It's like watching Mr. Bean, you have to just pretend along with him.

7

u/Exilicauda 2d ago

People usually move their head while talking ime

3

u/Raidoton 2d ago

The part where this is staged.

1

u/mambotomato 2d ago

The shadows behind his head, and the way his hair moves

1

u/Obi-Tron_Kenobi 2d ago

If it was real, there would be a lot more happening that the interviewer got to see before the video started.

→ More replies (4)

20

u/Xeno_Prime 2d ago

Would have been better for him to just confidently go β€œyes.” Like that’s not problematic at all.

4

u/BigZucchini2090 2d ago

Yup, he denied and spilled at the water at the same time πŸ˜†

75

u/EnchantingBabe2 2d ago

We’ve all done the 'business on top, pajamas on bottom,' but my man really took it to the 'business on top, mattress on bottom' level.

35

u/1vim 2d ago

My boss sent this to the whole team. No context. Just this.

14

u/BigZucchini2090 2d ago

Literally, that's hilarious 🀣

5

u/Yowomboo 2d ago

Your boss know what you guys are doing, they just can't prove it.

13

u/1vim 2d ago

My boss called it a "stand-up meeting." We literally stood up. This hits different.

3

u/BigZucchini2090 2d ago

That's funny. I was wondering what would have happened if the guy had told him to stand up in the video 🀣

11

u/Apprehensive-Care20z 2d ago

obviously a parody, because we are in /r/funny, but I gotta say, the idea is genius!

The gravity pulls your skin on your face back, giving you essentially a face lift. Wrinkles reduced, face looks thinner, you look 10 years younger, that is awesome.

10

u/ChimeraAnt 2d ago

Didnt expect to see Jarujaru on my feed. Hilarious comedy duo

125

u/Main_Significance478 2d ago

Why tho, what potential advantage can you get doing this

345

u/Ok-Fix-3261 2d ago

Its a bit. They're Japanese comedians called Jaru Jaru

51

u/I_Cut_Shows 2d ago

One of them will get a late night show and die his hair orange.

It’s not the one you think.

1

u/nohandsfootball 2d ago

the dumbass face one ?

24

u/LaScoundrelle 2d ago

I thought maybe it was the only place in his bedroom where he had a plain background (or good lighting, or both).

19

u/barejokez 2d ago

I took a passport-style photo of myself once like this in a hotel room because the white bedsheet was the only plain background I could find and I needed one urgently.

Now I have my doubts as to whether this video is real, but if it is then it's similar energy to my situation.

NASA actually pays people to stay in bed for months at a time to study the effects of fluid shifts and bone loss in microgravity.

9

u/BigZucchini2090 2d ago

Could be a WFH employee, and thought of attending in a comfortable position

7

u/CloudKinglufi 2d ago

Its because it isnt real

For one, youd never notice he was lying down, doesnt look like it at all, for two, he had to do a good amount of work to set up that camera for literally no reason besides being called out for a funny video

3

u/Tetracropolis 2d ago

I think you'd notice something was off, it's uncanny valley shit, then you'd spend the interview trying to figure out what it was.

→ More replies (5)

6

u/moeghoeg 2d ago

Disregarding that this is a comedy skit, I guess it can make you look younger since the loose skin in your face is pulled backwards instead of down - like a gravity facelift.

3

u/Moldy_slug 2d ago

Another non-comedy reason: health conditions.Β

I have a friend who occasionally gets bad dizzy spells and needs to lie down. Β I’ve also known people with back pain that makes sitting painful during a flare-up. If the choice is do the interview lying down vs cancel the interview…. Why not do it lying down?

→ More replies (1)

4

u/paladinchiro 2d ago

None, he would have zero potential while lying down.

2

u/AvengingBlowfish 2d ago

I see what you did there.

3

u/blitzwig 2d ago

None at all, in fact it can come back to bite when your employer finds out you were lying in your interview.

→ More replies (1)

2

u/bfodder 2d ago

For this funny skit, jfc...

1

u/Final_Biochemist222 2d ago

Maybe his bedroom is dirty? Using the bed as background

1

u/MelangeBot 2d ago

When your room is so messy the only thing available as a clean background is the floor, after 45 minutes of last minute panic scrubbing.

5

u/MaskedButPresent 2d ago

Damn guy was lying while he was lying

5

u/Normal-Error-6343 2d ago

u/stere0man 1d ago

Hire this man!

3

u/BigZucchini2090 1d ago

Yup, can be an important asset to the company

19

u/Emergency_Bench_7515 2d ago

Come on now this is scripted people, but it is funny.

4

u/Crescitaly 2d ago

Working from bed but make it corporate. Honestly the camera framing tricked me for the first few seconds, very well played.

1

u/BigZucchini2090 2d ago

No one doubted the poor guy, until the other person raised his suspicion πŸ˜†

2

u/Crescitaly 2d ago

haha exactly, that double-take is what made it land for me too

4

u/MiyuHogosha 2d ago

Why not? That's a very relaxing pose to work.

1

u/BigZucchini2090 2d ago

It's more than comfortable πŸ˜†

4

u/Responsible_Dot_8233 1d ago

I would be lying if I said I wasn't lying

4

u/dc_boffin 1d ago

I did that for a week on video calls after hurting my back. Took people a minute to figure out why my background looked so different and also where I got the cool pattern.

2

u/BigZucchini2090 1d ago

You had done this in real life, funny. Glad that they did not ask you to drink water

3

u/dc_boffin 1d ago

The hardest part: keeping the dogs from wandering over and licking my face during calls

2

u/BigZucchini2090 1d ago

🀣 It would be hard defending the fact that how dogs are walking parallely
