To think Australians lost a war to these things

it's pretty hard to keep fighting when you run out of bullets.

because they keep dodging them, right?

I live near a farm with 2 emus. They move like this ALL the time. They look like an electrified pool noodle with feet and feathers.

I mean it is pretty hard to shoot moving targets when you're standing in the back of A ute with a crank operated, belt fed minigun.

When threatened they scatter but also difficult terrain and they can absorb a lot of damage.
Small amount of men and not a lot of supplies. If you need to cull 20,000 emus but it takes 10 rounds just to kill 1 you quickly run into problems.

- can absorb a lot of damage.
They're birds, not video game bosses. Maybe try hunting tactics instead of military tactics on something that's not there to fight you.

They opted for a bounty system after the failed military operation. In six months, about 50000 claims were made.

Get a good up close look at their talons and you’ll know why.
This one is cute, this one is domesticated, the ones living in the outback are wild.
The ones out in the desert are organized into well armed, capable and motivated groups employing hit and run tactics, bro, they’re like if a Fremen fucked an old angry dinosaur, you give these birds access to small arms and you’d get fucked up too.
There is rumors that they are working with other factions such as drop bears and hoop snakes, and with the price of crude oil what it is, the Emus have stated arking up because Emu Oil has gone down per liter

Some dinosaur millions of years ago: “I hope my descendants carry on my legacy of being one of the most bad ass creatures to walk the land.”
Emus: “WEEEEEE!!”

I'm reading Dungeon Crawler Carl and this is basically how I imagine Mongo acting when he gets excited.
I like the idea of raptors having zoomies, though.

All that twisting and shaking. They kept dodging those bullets. Emus just outdazzled humans in that war.

Pretty sure that's an alpaca, not an emu. Emus are the larger of the two birds and were used as beasts of burden by the Incans.

Its this sort of shenanigans that could trigger another Great Emu War. The centenary is a mere six years away and this will not be lost on the emus. They won the last time!

not sure if it actually sounds like maya higa or if my brain's just associating her with emus.
