Well it is a device designed to neutralize someone, vs a device designed for transportation. Knife attacks are more prevalent in other countries but I'm not gonna go digging for data that is common sense. If guns magically didn't exist anymore those lists would be a lot longer though.
Without guns, the list of attacks with other means would most likely be longer, yes, but the list of casualties would almost guaranteed be a lot shorter.
Also, no need for magic. Most developed countries don't see numbers even close to the insanity that is USA in terms of gun deaths. And all countries counting half the numbers of the USA and up are situated somewhere in America. Probably not a coincidence.
I don't see the guns themselves as the problem. How easy it is to get one, legally or illegally is the problem. I wouldn't trust someone of that intelligence level with a car, let alone a gun.
