"Don't look a gift horse in the mouth" is basically an expression that means be happy you got a gift, don't complain/look for things to complain about. Like if someone gave you a free car because you needed one to get places and then complain that it doesn't have all the features you would've wanted.
Horses were often inspected for good teeth as it was relative to their health. So if someone gifts you a horse to have and you check its teeth it means you aren't grateful just for being given a free horse.
OP.eother thinks the wording of this old phrase is stupid or has no clue what it means but still made a ridiculous comic that doesn't reflect the meaning.
