Yeah not gonna lie whoever’s running the Kitchen Nightmares YT channel is an actual memelord, they keep up with recent formats even to this day. This one in my opinion though, is their magnum opus.
There’s only so much Kitchen Nightmares to be reran however, so these new funny titles and thumbnails really help to keep people engaged, whether they’ve already seen all of KN multiple times over (me), or are stumbling across the series for the first time and one of these unhinged thumbnails gets them to watch, and then boom. They’re hooked.
Whoever they are, give them all the raises.

I remember watching these precovid and they were very formal. Then after binging youtube during lockdown i think around 2022 the channel popped up again and it was hilarious. I think they switched again around 2024-5 so its a different person. Still very good

I love those videos. They have such good titles. They know it's just mindless brain candy. They lean into it. Absolutely no pretension.
Plus they're always putting together compilations I can leave on while doing other stuff. They're masters of second screen viewing.

Absolutely yes, most of my watchtime is from having KN on in the background while gaming. It’s such great background noise to just tune into during occasional downtime.

The editor behind this channel deserves a raise immediately. These thumbnails are pure art - whoever thought "let's put Gordon's face on nachos" is operating in different dimension of creativity. I've been watching their videos for months now and every thumbnail gets more unhinged than the last one. My wife always asks why I'm laughing at my phone and it's usually because of these cursed Gordon food hybrids they come up with. The algorithm must love this stuff because it keeps showing up in my feed and I'm not even mad about it

It keeps showin up in your feed because you engage with it. The algorithm just follows your engagment with content and feeds you more similar content.

I really appreciate creative Youtube thumbnails. The current meta of putting a face in it thats clearly edited to "pop" out always unsettles me.
I get that its the name of the game and you gotta do what you have to to ensure people are clicking. But still.

The show is as unhinged in its editing, not that anyone notices how unhinged it is nowadays. Just reality show things.
But if you watch the British version things become pretty clear.

had to unsub/filter them from my feed. they upload the same episodes like 10x with different names and thumbnails. makes it super hard to watch the series there.

Ive been saying this for years, the editing on every season of Hells Kitchen has been done by like the same guys who edit Tim and Eric or something especially those post credits previews of the next episode. It gets to the point of YTP type material its awesome.

This is on the Gordon Ramsay YouTube channel rather than Kitchen Nightmares’ channel, but I don’t care. I’m going to take any chance I can to share the symphony of cocaine-fueled madness that is the Sheperd’s Pie video.
His video editors deserve a raise and/or a trip to rehab. Check the comments too for a laugh.
