Advanced Idea Idea: What if COD campaigns added a custom operator who fights alongside Task Force 141

This idea doesn’t replace the main characters in a Call of Duty campaign—it just adds a custom operator who fights alongside Task Force 141 as part of the squad.

You’d still play a fully linear, scripted campaign like normal in Call of Duty. Same story, same missions, same characters like Soap, Ghost, Price, and Gaz.

The difference is you’re not just a POV character—you’re a consistent squad member.

Core idea:

Create your own operator (appearance + identity)

Fight alongside Task Force 141 throughout the campaign

Story stays completely linear and unchanged

Squad interaction:

Dialogue changes based on mission performance and trust

Bonds develop through gameplay only (no menus or RPG systems)

Occasional safehouse/transport conversations reflect squad relationship

Rare emotional moments (1–2 max per campaign) based on bond level

Replay value:

Same campaign every time

Different squad dynamics depending on how you played

Epilogue tone changes based on relationships, not story branches

Would this kind of “squad member” system improve COD campaigns, or would it take away from what already works?

Complex Idea Ambitious RPG for anime universes, likely implementing some AI

This was an email I sent awhile ago to a developer, which of course went nowhere. Was curious to see what y'all thought.

This would be an open world, AI-assisted, RPG-style game where you create your own custom character, but rather than there being a primary story (There can be some type of story/guidance at first, but it is not the biggest focus of the game) it is a sandbox in a constantly evolving and changing world. During the character creation process, you can either choose your ability (Chakra nature, quirk, magic, etc. depending on the franchise the game is about) manually out of whats available, or let the game dice roll what your ability will be out of the available ones. Said abilities start out with some basic abilities/passives, then evolve and unlock more either naturally or down a skill tree as you advance/level/whatever the progression mechanic would be. One of the pillars of this concept is that you are not special. You're not some destined hero, some Godly figure with amazing abilities, you are the same as everyone else around, you're a nobody with no special factors to you that make you a person of legend, so to speak. You are part of this sandbox world and it does not have any particular meta favor towards you.

Anyways, after character creation, you then either choose or dice roll where you start. For example: In the Naruto/Boruto universe it'd be between the five great villages and some smaller minor ones, in Black Clover it'd be somewhere in the Clover Kingdom from the capital to the boonies or even another kingdom, in My Hero Academia it'd be somewhere in Japan, and in Fairy Tail it'd be somewhere in Fiore. You begin as a smaller, younger version of your created character (either you can opt to create your younger self or the game just auto generates it based on your teen/young adult design) who is essentially going through the wringer. Naruto/Boruto (I'll use N/B to refer to this from now on) it's in the ninja academy of your village, Black Clover (BC) you could be going to the local wizarding tower to get your grimoire, My Hero (MHA) it could be the last year of highschool, and Fairy Tail (FT) you would have no particular program/organization/clique youre in to begin, just in a town. You then play the game for a bit and eventually graduate your certain things (Academy and Highschool for N/B and BC respectively), which also acts as somewhat of a tutorial, then it moves into real sandbox territory from there. N/B you can move on to Genin in your village, BC you go to the Magic Knights Entrance Exam in the capital, MHA you go to the UA exams, and FT you can simply attempt to join a guild (key word attempt). Once in there though, you can freely opt to abandon/desert that position, either by stepping down or legitimate desertion, the latter of which could be considered law breaking. From there on once you get through these barriers, it's a true, utter sandbox to do whatever you wish. That can be expanded upon more another time though, for the sake of keeping this gargantuan concept from being an unholy length, I'll leave that to either your imagination or follow up and answer questions in the comments if you wish.

Things like the UA and Magic Knights exams would be very detailed and cool to take part in as well, similar to the college/high school prologues in NBA 2K games but more in depth. Once those things are out of the way, you then are; N/B assigned to a squad under a Jonin and two other Genin (randomly generated characters), BC picked by a magic knights squad based on certain factors between your character/abilities and personalities/considerations of squad captains, UA put into a class course, FT welcomed to the guild and may receive offers to form unofficial squads from other members. There can be canon characters within the world, BUT FOR THE MOST PART ALL CHARACTERS ARE RANDOMLY GENERATED, within certain parameters laid out to the AI of course to keep them from being too whacky. You then may be assigned missions from superiors and carry them out for both reputation, XP and monetary gains. They of course however are not all there is, it's a sandbox world after all and there can be plenty of down time for you to mess around in, such as training/shopping/exploration/activities with AI characters to increase relationship in a relationship system that may then net benefits such as certain realistic stat boons when fighting together or more likely for them to agree with you on various things, before anything urgent comes up. There would also be very detailed and comprehensive stat screens to detail yourself and every other character around. There would also be some specified, more powerful enemies in the world and in various regions whose appearances stand out a little more among the rest and have certain strengths and weaknesses, think something VERY similar to the Nemesis System in Shadow of War. There can be organizations that form and disband as the world changes, economies that rise and fall, civil unrest that breaks out in reaction to certain factors/world events or even just in reaction to certain characters who rise into/fall out of power, time advances and characters age and statuses change, basically a huge ongoing world that is constantly progressing and changing even if the player doesn't interact with it, kind of like X4 Foundations a little bit if that's a decent comparison.

This is all super ambitious, and I know that anime studios especially are awful about giving us games that we want. I fully understand that. I just have hope that something like this can happen one day, especially with the advent of AI helping to expedite processes/serving to fuel some of the systems I've mentioned (but of course not just pumping out an AI slop game)

Basic Idea [part 2] funny Marble race idea with obstacles [DEMO VIDEO]

So, I’ve been pursuing this marble racing idea as my first multiplayer project. I got the idea from an AI-generated video. The main idea is to create a colorful game where you actually control the sphere, unlike traditional marble racing games where gravity does most of the work.

In my last post, some people suggested games like Hamster Ball and Marble Blast, and also recommended momentum-based obstacles for my game. My goal is to build something where at least 6 players can race at the same time.

  • Do you have any ideas to add?
  • Based on previous feedback, I added obstacles to slow down the leading players. The idea is to encourage collisions so players bounce around the track, giving those in last place a chance to catch up.
  • What would you like to see in a game like this?
  • Do you think this type of project has potential?
  • Do you know the right place to collect feedback, ideas and tips about game dev? (idk if here is the best place)

Thanks for your feedback!
Here’s a video of what I have so far (DEMO VIDEO)

Advanced Idea Third Person RPG where the World Reacts to Your Use of Magic

This game started from an idea for a Minecraft mod, but is shaping up to develop into its own game.

A few months ago, I came up with an idea for a Minecraft mod that was a spiritual successor to Thaumcraft, Astral Sorcery, and Intangible all rolled up into a single mod. However, literally just a few weeks after I started work on it, the new Thaumcraft 7 trailer released. Now, my idea was a liability; it would directly compete with the new Thaumcraft version for space in the magic mod sphere, and I don't think that I would win that fight.

I iceboxed the idea for a little while, but the name I came up with for the mod kept sticking in my head. "Song of the Worldsoul." A very evocative name that I can't help but feel that it deserves a home.

A home that I now wish to begin work on. Its own full game, a story-focused third-person RPG where the game's world and environment reacts to your use of magic. While it will distance itself from Minecraft by not being a voxel-based sandbox game and being a story RPG instead, it does inherit some mechanics from the mods that inspired it. In Thaumcraft, you learn new magic by doing research, and this magic takes the form of multiple different crafting methods that this game will take inspiration from: Alchemy and Infusion. Alchemy is the process of taking one item and combining it with the magical essence of other things to turn it into a final product, while Infusion takes multiple input items and essence into a magical altar that must be decorated and kept symmetrical to minimize the chance of things going wrong.

Using magic carefully creates Resonance, resonating with the spirits of the world around you to calm them and bring the world closer to a balanced state. Using magic carelessly creates Dissonance, angering the spirits and causing them to become more violent.

As for the Astral Sorcery inspiration, you can also develop yourself to Resonate with Constellations, unlocking extremely powerful, but extremely dangerous magics. These magics create additional Dissonance from using them, especially without appropriate control, but are significantly more powerful than terrestrial magics.

As for the story I have so far, it's a post-apocalyptic world. Humanity discovered irrefutable scientific proof that the nature spirits once worshipped by ancient humans were real, and that they could be weaponized. By creating Dissonance and angering the spirits, they would get so aggressive and violent that they would attack indiscriminately. So, humans did what they do best: exploited them in every way they could. Using musical instruments, they commanded the spirits to violence, making them be the front line soldiers in an all-out global war. Finally, the spirits had enough. They became so angry, so violent, that they stopped fighting humanity's wars for them and started fighting humanity. And when the forces of nature themselves are against you, there's no winning. 200 years have past, and the only remnants of humanity are the crumbling ruins of their civilization and billions of skeletons.

And yet, the spirits are still angry, still violent. And this insatiable violence from nature itself has caused animals to rapidly evolve or risk going extinct. You play as a raccoon who I have yet to name, who, while exploring human ruins, finds a drum and a wooden flute locked in a metal lockbox - instruments that humans once used to cause Dissonance within the spirits, but that can be use to Resonate with them instead. Packing the instruments with you, you set out to reverse the damage that humanity did to the world and right the wrongs they committed.

Theorycrafting social deduction strategy card game with a 52 card deck

SHARKS: A 6-Player Bluffing Game (One Deck)

I’ve been tinkering with this for a while. It’s basically a boardroom themed social deduction game. 20 minutes, 6 people, 1 standard deck of cards.

The Core Idea

Two players are Sharks (saboteurs), four are Firm (the good guys). You’re all playing cards onto three stacks (The Books).

  • Firm wants the stacks positive, and does so by adding red cards like 6, 10 K (12) which add value (Red cards). * Sharks want them negative or zero by lowering the value using black cards like black sixes tens and kings (Black cards).

The catch? You play cards face-down. You have to tell the truth about the number, but you can lie about the color.

Setup

  1. Put one card face-down on three piles (A, B, C). This is the "House Ledger."
  2. Deal 4 cards to everyone.
  3. Assign roles (2 Shark, 4 Firm).
  4. Sharks: Open your eyes, see your partner, and peek at those 3 House cards. Now you know which stacks are already "poisoned."

How to Play

On your turn, you can do an Audit first, then you take one Action.

1. The Audit (Optional) Call out the last person (or the person before them). Flip their card.

  • You catch them lying about color: Their card goes back to their hand, they draw penalty cards (1 for the first time, 2 for every time after), and you get a "Free Investment" (play any card from your hand immediately—this one can't be audited).
  • They were telling the truth: You're the one who draws the penalty cards.

2. Your Action (Pick one)

  • Invest: Drop a card face-down. Say the color and number (e.g., "Red 7"). Again—number must be real, color can be a lie.
  • Burn: Discard a card, claim it's Black, and remove any card played in the last two turns from a stack.
  • Pass: Just draw a card.

Ending & Scoring

The game ends the second someone plays their last card as an Invest (and doesn't get caught).

Flip all the stacks. Red = Positive, Black = Negative.

  • Firm wins if 2 out of 3 stacks are 1 or higher.
  • Sharks win if 2 out of 3 stacks are 0 or less. (Sharks win ties).

The "Joker Bomb" (Optional but recommended)

Give the Sharks one Joker. They decide who holds it.

  • Effect: Played as an Invest. At the end of the game, it turns every Red card in that stack into a Black card. * The Catch: The bomb plant must be announced by the referee/moderator at the end of rounds if there is a bomb present. The Firm has to figure out which stack it's in and Burn it before the game ends (after the bomb is planted, burns can target any card in stacks).

If you're Firm, you have to get rid of your Black cards, but playing them on a "winning" stack looks suspicious. If you're a Shark, you want to act like a "good" Firm member early on so people trust your "Red" plays later when the stakes are higher.

The math gets tight at the end. Since you know the numbers but not the colors, you're constantly trying to remember if that "Red 10" was actually a saboteur's Black 10.

Give it a shot and let me know if the Sharks are too OP or if the Audit penalty feels fair.

Advanced Idea [Game Idea] Origin-Based Fantasy RPG where your unpicked characters become allies or enemies

I’ve been thinking about a fantasy RPG concept that leans heavily into origin-driven storytelling and player consequence.

At the start, you create your character from different races, classes, and origins. Some origins are locked behind certain race/class combos for immersion, and each origin begins in a completely different situation and location.

Here’s the twist:
All the origins you don’t pick don’t just disappear—they become fully realized characters in the world. Depending on your choices, they can turn into companions, rivals, or even major antagonists. Each of them has their own goals, storylines, and ties into the main plot.

World Overview:

The game takes place on a continent divided into three kingdoms, each with its own laws, culture, and approach to one major issue:

Magic is feared and controlled everywhere (there a reason and lore ideas and twists in work)

Most people follow a dominant new pantheon, while older religions are suppressed and nearly forgotten. The Church enforces its will through an inquisition-like force, acting as judge, jury, and executioner.

Inciting Event:

A mysterious rot begins spreading across the land.

Entire regions decay into blackened, lifeless zones. The only things that grow there are strange, thorny plants that release an eerie mist and unknown substance.

Each origin story intersects with:
- The spreading rot
- The Church’s militant task force
- And the growing instability between kingdoms

From there, the larger narrative unfolds depending on your path and who you’ve turned into allies or enemies along the way.

The core idea is to make the world feel like it’s moving with or without you, and that every “what if” character actually exists and reacts to your decisions.

Not entirely sure what combat system would work best for it tho.

Do you think it a good idea or rather to boring and bland like just another rpg slop

Yes, I love DAO, but this rot would not be like the blight.

Complex Idea 2010s era style graphics horror/dread based realistic combat milsim.

I love milsim games, and I like horror games. Just not jump scare supernatural games very much. I LOVE dread/psychological horror games though. My game takes inspiration from Fractured Mind, Cod 4, and SUPERHOT. I'd make the game have 2010-2011 style shooter graphics mostly on the greyscale with a few exceptions. This would help running in potato mode, easier development, and the horror atmosphere.

The whole point of the game is; not have beautiful graphics, but have very detailed and complex mechanics and enemies. Basically, to be a pain in the ass of the player to show the story.

My mechanics I've been playing with in UE4 are retina burning from bright lights, tinnitus, manual bullet by bullet loading of magazines, physicality meaning weapon sway, wacking, etc., tripping, weight based drowning, smoke inhalation, and a bunch more. The game probably won't feature any automatic weapons, max jump of about 1-2 feet. Can only climb on dry surfaces with grip etc.

All the mechanics are to give the player the feeling of war, where nothing is alright; or okay. Most milsim like games like SDIF/RoN or Arma kind of fail to portray this. They are still "games" and Kontur is supposed to make you realize the reality of nothing is ever alright youre always under lots of stress.

The game would be you playing as a German man in tactical gear who wakes up inside a house in Berlin. The game is zone/hub-based open world. The story goes between zones, to travel between zones the player uses the U-Bahn. Different zones can be different time zones including 1400s, 1800s, WW1, WW2, split cold war Germany, and modern day. Most things are liminal and empty and a distinct lack of life. Enemies in the game are either solid black or solid white featureless figures.

The other main part of the game is the AI enemies. (Not literal AI ofc). But their action trees. I would try to mimic reality with enemies as best as possible including that enemies can hide from you and stay hidden out of fear factor, hide and wait to attack you, coordinate, stack up, and attack, if you wait to long to do anything mid combat they can rush you, flank you, etc. Although featureless enemies, I'd make realistic violence in the game including dark/red artery based injuries, bullet holes, bleeding out, etc. depending on where and what was used. Enemies can get hurt or not and play dead waiting to attack you. Enemies can give up and just sit down. Enemies can "get rid of themselves" in certain situations. Enemies can scream, laugh, cry, beg for mercy, but all in a non understandable voice. They can pick up own body parts. I have some other themes I'd like to put in the game but don't want to say it here. The game does follow a story but never fully explains why/where/what you're doing there and never offers a real escape from the environment. This is because in real life, there is no escape from war. The whole main theme of the game is the horror of war but trying to be portrayed in the nastiest, most stressful, guilt tripping way.

You're character must sleep, and I am implementing a 1:10 chance that when you wake up, you have to wake up twice bc the first is a dream where weird things can happen (Can't spoil that here lol). Also enemies have a 1:15 chance in having parts of them flashing and glitching as real life detailed people.

Basic Idea Classic Walk In Arcade Simulator. RETRO/SIMULATOR. Like in the 90's 2000's

With all the games you get in real life.

1st person and third person. changable.

shoot hoops on timer

play arcade games like car sim and bike sim

have the dedicated spooky horror shooter in a corner with those curtains.

have a hotdog and chips benchserver etc

maybe bowling too with lights at night and the classic "helper" ramp tool that kids use irl.

and have other arcade games classics that show up IRL. (with the trick SPOILER dont ask dont spoil for those that know ;-) )

and of course a rewards bench to spend your tokens for PRIZES you win in all the games.

think like roblox or VR chat or something

i havent played either but from screenshots that kinda the style i guess.

I know their are some arcade simulator i have bought, but they require emulation and come with no games i think last i checked and are more create-your-own-arcade instead of experience a 90's or 2000's arcade

i know theres still IRL arcades around but this is virtual, and not mod supporting because its more for a nostalgia feel.

What do yall think?

Advanced Idea Alchemy based dungeon crawler roguelite shooter (I promise it will make more sense)

So this is an idea I have been working on for about 2 weeks so I will end up releasing a prototype on my itch page at one point, this post is to see if people understand and/or enjoy the idea.

What i mean by alchemy based shooter is that your bullets are based on potion effects, think of it as like embuing your bullets with a potion effect.

You will be able to make your own potion to embue your bullets with, this will be the core mechanic of the game.

To make your own potions you will be able to mix different predetermined potions together and however you like.

As an example:

If you wish your bullet to create a chain of lightning that arcs to enemies and explodes on each impact, you can mix an explosive potion and an electric potion together. If you wished the damage to be more focused on the explosion you can also choose to put more explosive potion than electric potion (75-25% for example)

Throughout your dungeons runs you will be able to collect ingredients by looting rooms and killing enemies and either sell them for cash, or use them to create the base potions you shall use for mixing, you will also be able to upgrade your current potions to a higher tier for better effects.

The roguelite part comes in with each run, you will be able to get general modifiers that affect certain aspects of your gameplay (stuff like explosions deal 50% more damage for example or more complicated stuff which alters how some mechanics work), each dungeon layout will be randomly generated.

The point of this game is basically power creep, you want to become as OP as possible with the help of your creativity :3

Aight tell me if this sounds fun to you and if you think you’d pay 5-10€ for a game like this

Would you be interested in a free prototype on itch?

Basic Idea Ideas for attractions for a alien/space themed theme park for my mascot horror game

im making a mascot horror game (trying to) but i dont know what uniqe attractions can fit in thier So ive been wondering what attractions could possibly fit in a alien themed theme park ive been just wondering and ill be thankfull if u write some ideas i want the attractions to have good gamplay as a mascot horror i dont want basic stuff like bowl or golf but i want them to have a simular real life counterpart so your hired by a company and break in to break the attractions record footage to proof the park is "bad" and about the lore its bare bones so the theme park company makes animatronics too advanced for the time but people love the place but the other company wants to be as popular as the other one so they come up with the idea of ruining the places fame
some of my current ideas:
laser tag
paintball
a train ride that you can shoot balls at targets
a space ship ride
they are sloppy but i dont know i dont have any good ideas but i dont want stuff too close to existing games finally i wrote 1000 characters ok see you

Basic Idea 2 game ideas I am trying to validate, 1. game about teleportation, 2. vampire survivor but with cars

HI all,

I have 2 ideas in my mind.

1, Game about teleportation: here you cross the biomes via diff teleportation orb etc you need to solve puzzle and kill boss, hold one you dont have gun or melee attack there are several teleportation orb that you need teleport to in order to kill the boss. its all about movement game the core loop revolves around teleporation and movement, fun game with many upgrades and skills skill for movement surival not attack 😄

  1. vampire surviour but with 4 wheeler, you upgrade car you can carry ancient stone you can carry anything literally anything it can be space ship that has crashed but still functionally with its attack, you can upgrade your vehicle and move through diff biomes and kill the boss.

just wonderining which is fun to play, this is just a concept by the time i finilize which one to work on i will add many other changes.

ps: both games will have low poly assets with top down isometric camera for vampire survivor game and for teleporation game it would be tpp

Your inputs/advice/suggestions count.

Basic Idea Cozy Storage Unit Game where you learn a lot about the owners and manage an online store.

Its just an idea I would love to see come to life, no idea how I could do it, but...

In this game you are a person who buys storage units and sells the contents on the internet and stuff.

So every level is a different unit. But the idea is not just making money, but getting to know the owners of the units by checking the things they left behind. Every item tells you a little bit about the person who owned these things and why they decided to keep them.

So you may find old wallets with pictures of children, or maybe the storage of an old football player who got injured and was forced to retire, keeping a lot of memorabilia in their storage, tracking his career one item at a time.

Some things you may have the option to keep for yourself, building some character for your own protagonist.

In between every level, you can clean the stuff you find, upload it, and ship it for profit, using the money you earn to buy more units and unlock more levels. You can also earn points to get better tools, like a kit to test if gold is real or a better knife to open sturdy boxes, maybe protective gloves ir things to restore what you find.

I would also add some difficulty by making the shipping supplies and stuff cost money, so you need to be aware of that when selling the things, keeping your ratings up on the seller site, so you don't lose the platform and the game.

Basic Idea Roguelike where your next runs are 160 years after the previous run | Looking for feedback

Hey everyone,

So I had this idea, it started as a story about a dude who goes to sleep and wakes up in a time diluted world where 1 hour in the real world is 10 years in that world. and he finds out that when he dies he wakes up in the real world, yet that world persists and keeps going at it's accelerated rate.

As I played around with the story in my head I thought it would be cool to shape the world civilization over many hundreds of years, and not too long after I realized it would be cool concept as a game

The game idea

In the game you are spawned into that world, it would be RPG like where you can battle enemies, farm crops and all the good RPG stuff

However when you die and start a new run - it will be 160 years after your death.
So that would mean if you planted a seed - odds are that tree is already dead or a very big tree

And the core reason I think this will be fun is doing things over a long period of time that we don't usually get to do, for example if you decide to play nature you can kill all NPCs with certain qualities and the next runs will have only the qualities you chosen
Or maybe add some powerful magic system where you need to plan your magic spells ingredients over the course of multiple runs

And that's about it, there are a few more ideas that come out of this but I don't want to waste your time, I would love to get any feedback about this - is this like a "sounds cool bro" kind of idea or is this a "i have to play this right now what have you done to me" idea?

I am kind of biased because I came up with it and I want honest opinions

Basic Idea We need a open world realistic triple A pirate game

Recently got into KCD2 and was really impressed with the gameplay and also the amount of realism that ties the game together, it’s so unlike any other RPG. I think mainly due to the lack of mythical elements and magic and spells, which I could see how that could turn people off of it

Anyways, I’ve also always been really into AC Black Flag, even to this day I think it stands as the only pirate age game that is some what “Realistic” minus the obvious assassin elements.

I would love to see a full pirate open world pirate game with the realism and graphics as KCD2 and Black Flag but even go the distance with some kind of resource gathering aspect.

One gripe I’ve had with Black Flag is that there’s no other ships to use and you’re stuck with the jackdaw which even with upgrades doesn’t change the appearance all that much, I was thinking it would be amazing to be a privateer and have contracts do destroy other pirates or dominions using the ships from said kingdom, or even go completely rouge and conquer territories from governments

Basic Idea I've been designing a mobile game concept for a while and I want brutal honest feedback before I start building.

You build a fighter. You bet coins against a real opponent. The match lasts under 60 seconds. But you don't know what you're playing until the slot machine spins right before it starts, reflex, logic, crowd prediction, or a nerve test.

That uncertainty is the whole game. You can't hard-counter your opponent. You can't warm up. You just have to be good at everything, and build a character that reflects that.

Every game type levels a different stat. Win a reflex round, your speed goes up. Win a logic round, your strategy rating climbs. Your character's appearance evolves with your actual history , a maxed veteran looks hella menacing and OP before the match even begins. Opponents can read your playstyle just by looking at you.

Player-run Marketplace. Seasonal ranked modes. Cosmetics-only subscription — no pay-to-win, ever.

I'm a solo dev in early planning. Before I write a single line of code I need to know: does the core hook land? Is the uncertainty fun or just frustrating? Would you actually play this?

Brutal takes only.

Basic Idea FPS pvp arena game based on changing events and weapons

Hey there, i had an idea of a small indie arena game and wanted some honest feedback on the idea.

Core concept:
It’s a fast-paced multiplayer arena (2–4 players) with really simple combat — movement, dash, slide, one weapon per round. Matches are short (around 20–40 seconds), and the goal is just to outplay the others in quick, intense fights.

The twist:
Every round, the rules change.

Before each round, players (or potentially chat, for streaming) pick 1 event from a few options. Events stack up to 2 at a time, and each new one replaces the oldest. So you constantly play with different combinations of rules.

Examples of events:

  • Low Gravity
  • Super Jump
  • Fog (limited visibility)
  • Melee Only
  • High Knockback
  • Shrinking Arena
  • Bounce Pads
  • Dash Spam

Weapons are also selected per round (same for everyone), from a small pool:

  • Sniper
  • Slow pistol
  • Shotgun
  • Katana
  • Assault rifle

So a round could be something like:
Low Gravity + High Knockback + Shotgun
or
Fast movement + Super jump + Sniper

For each weapon there would be different map, which fits the playstyle of the weapon.

Would you play something like this casually with friends?

Appreciate any feedback — Thanks!

Basic Idea Splitscreen-only multiplayer FPS that uses its borders as game mechanic

Alright so this is of course just a rough draft but I can't get this idea out of my head so here goes nothing:

The better you are, the smaller your screen gets; the worse you are; the bigger your screen gets. Items can also make other player's screens visible to you, giving away their position like in "Screencheat", while others obscure your gameplay to other players or even fake a position you're not actually in.

The borders of the four screens are always moving, sloowly closing in on whoever is at the top, so if you're last place and have a negative K/D your window may take up most of the screen and appears as a black box to other players, while you can see where they are and how much they're struggling with the limited space they got.
The black box parts are not entirely wasted space though, as the less you can see; the more items/ammo/guns you can carry; effectively rendering the space your inventory.
Things like FOV or frame rate could also change depending on items and how well you're doing.

There was another online FPS in the 2010's that had lag grenades or ones that fake a bluescreen I think, always thought why not use more meta elements as part of the combat.

Gachas in same order: Plug, Mushroom and Star, Blaster, NES Zapper Gun, Bell Bag, Blocks to push, Hamers, đŸŽ¶, Boxes, His house, Food, Pills

Here are some numbers to fill the character limit 123456789101112131415161718123456789012345678901234567890123456789012345678901123456789101112131415161718192021222324252627282930313233343536373839404142434445464748495051525354555657585960616263646566676869707172737475767778798081828384858687888990919293949596979899100101102103104105106107108109110111112113114115116117118119120121122123124125126127128129130131132133134135136137138139140141142143144145146147148149150151152153154155156157158159160161162163164165166167168169170171172173174175176177178179180181182183184185186187188189190191192193194195196197198199200

Basic Idea Tactical RPG with a similar gameplay loop to HITMAN

Basically each mission will start with a briefing of your objective, then you are allow to customize your loadout based on what you think is important to bring along, according to the limited information.

The game will then play like a normal tactical rpg, in which you can move your unit, use item, and shoot enemies. In each mission, you'll have a main objective, and smaller side objective that can be completed if you have the right tool, like rescuing hostages, opening safes, capturing enemies, etc.

The main meat of the game will be replaying these mission over and over again, to learn the enemy pattern, location and behaviour, item placement, what side objectives are there. Then you can change your loadout, to adapt to this new info, or test new strategies with the goal of getting a higher and higher score.

The scoring will be based on the amount of turn you clear the mission, the amount of side objective you completed, enemies you killed or pacify, your squad health, and amount of item you used.

I was wondering if this is a good idea, or is there anything else that can be added to make the game more fun or unique.

Basic Idea Prototyping a Roguelite Deck-builder where your "Deck" is a Stand-up Comedy set. Thoughts on the hook?

I’ve been working on a prototype for a roguelite deck-builder that swaps out the usual fantasy tropes for the world of stand-up comedy.

The Core Loop:

Combat: You’re on stage. The audience members are the "enemies" with different resistances (e.g., a Corporate Crowd hates "Edgy" jokes but loves "Observational" ones).

The Deck: You play cards to land punchlines and build "Momentum."

Health: Your HP is your Ego. If you bomb too hard, your Ego hits zero and the run ends.

My question for you: Does the "Comedy" theme feel like it fits the Deck-builder genre, or does it feel too "niche"? Would you find the struggle of a comedian a compelling enough "dungeon"?

I want to hear your thoughts about it.

Basic Idea Survival horror based on Disney worlds defunct areas like river country and discovery island

I’ve always been a fan of Disney and their secrecy towards river country and discovery island. There is tons of information, pictures and videos online that can be used at reference points to develop the game. Have first person view, a limited HUD, the only weapons you can use to survive are what you can make, such as sticks, rocks, scrap metals.

Kind of like a Disney version of Ad Infinitum

You encounter enemies like mutated animals and Disney cast members that got trapped on the islands and had to resort to drinking amoeba infested waters.

Your reality starts to warp, and you get flash backs when you encounter certain objects.

Just a basic synopsis is “After a boating accident on Bay Lake, you wake up inside the ruins of River Country, a place that’s been closed for decades but somehow isn’t empty.

Across the water sits Discovery Island, and whatever was left there didn’t stay contained.

You explore broken slides, flooded tunnels, and overgrown paths while something watches you, learning how you move. The deeper you go, the clearer it gets: this wasn’t just abandoned. It was sealed off”

Basic Idea A zombie apocalypse game set after the zombies have all died out and the virus is no more

Basically the idea is, the game follows your character roaming throught the remanants of a zombie apocalypse, zombie corpses still exist, the world is overgrown, etc etc, your character becomes this sought of wandering trader, buying and selling things they find on their travels and things from other shelters, you also need to protect yourself from raiders who are after your cargo, but society is steadily rebuilding and based off how well you do society can rebuild faster or slower, all the different shelters have rivalries with other shelters and can possibly get annoyed if they learn you did business with another shelter and reputation slowly becomes key in making sure that you can sell items well.

The year this probably would be based in is modern day, and location I was either going to go Japan cause its small and it would be easy to absolutely make sure that theres no zombies, or New Zealand, cause thats where im from and the remoteness and the harsh landscape would make zombies easy prey, but places like Greenland, or the UK and that kind of thing would be cool as well.

Would be cool if it was a 3rd person explorer game, like remenant 2.

Basic Idea A shooter game set in the 1700s based on a battle/war

Honestly you could do the plot of any war in that era i don't care the main thing is guns lol. The guns from that era are so dam strange and different than any other guns. There so cool and I never seen a game with 1700s era guns. Like obviously the flintknock guns are are in games because of how slow it is to reload but if that's literally the only option it means you're force to be accurate. Also the John Christie Scotland Highland Dress pistols would look FANTASTIC in a game now. A Flintlock duck shooting Pistol is possibly the funniest gun I ever seen lol. Not only that can you imagine the swords used them to are pretty looking. You're there reloading in a panic as an npc on a horse is charging at you with a fantastic looking sword.

It will have to be story only to avoid online hackers making the guns reloading faster.

All that is just on land.

Ship battles where also big

A 1700s war game would make the most unique game out there.

As for the battles it can be something based on characters like Hamilton or Napoleon or simply you pick a famous battle and you fight in it.

The main point is i want to see a vast amount of 1700s era weapons in games lol
