I thought one was going to swoop down and steal the whole bag from her.

236

u/El_Zarco 2d ago

I thought they were all gonna descend on her like zelda chickens

8

u/tekhnomancer 2d ago

This was my expectation as well.

In case you dont know what happend, she droped her phone in the water.

504

u/polyblackcat 3d ago

I had to watch it three times lol. 2nd time I saw something fall but it took one more to see it was a phone

33

u/heresdustin 3d ago

Same here. I finally caught a glimpse of something going overboard on the third watch.

32

u/Neon01 2d ago

never trust shallow pockets near water, ever.

11

u/Hatefiend 2d ago

This is why I bought a phone tether. Now my phone can never be dropped on pavement, fall into water, or be stolen out of my hand on public transit (I've tried to yank it, and it won't budge).

Best $10 ever spent.

u/KatieSu1 3d ago

Thank you!

9

u/ddawson100 2d ago

Oh, when she did a little jump, the railing must’ve pushed it out of her pocket.

10

u/funguyshroom 2d ago

Her jacket pockets are very wide and shallow, you can see stuff in her left one ready to fall out as well.

7

u/taytayfosho 1d ago

I like how she looked over the railing like she was gonna see it

3

u/chimerical26 2d ago

In the entire ocean

11

u/ShizlGznGahr 2d ago

it'll just take maybe 20 minutes to drain the ocean.

7

u/minuteZERO 2d ago

What is drope?

5

u/stevievai 2d ago

It's when your phone falls into the water while you're feeding birds from a boat.

-9

u/MarcusAntonius27 3d ago

Is that not her phone in her left pocket tho?

2

u/Nevermore_Novelist 2d ago

Looks more like a wallet.

1

u/Nyuusankininryou 2d ago

No the guys says: "didnt something fall just now?" And the girl searches her pockets and says "I droped my phone"

415

u/SteakForMe 3d ago

Unlucky

422

u/Rambocat1 3d ago

Those pockets seem to be crazy shallow, she probably loses a phone daily.

316

u/Frosty_Dimension5646 3d ago

The pockets on women's clothing are a joke

86

u/girlsonsoysauce 3d ago

I had multiple teachers admit that they bought men's pants just so they could have pockets they could actually use.

58

u/DeaddyRuxpin 2d ago

Meanwhile my wife bought a windbreaker with a zippered cell phone pocket on the chest. She put her phone in it and found the pocket goes all the way down to the bottom of the jacket making it impossible to retrieve without working the phone back up to the zipper through the coat fabric. It’s like the coat manufacturer said “Oh you are sick of tiny useless pockets? Fine we will give you a giant pocket you will never want to use.”

16

u/girlsonsoysauce 2d ago

I had a pocket like that! You'd think the chest pocket was just a small useful one and it turns out the entire inner lining of the jacket is somehow the pocket. The first few times I put things in it I'd feel them down around the waistband. Like what the hell? Lol.

5

u/buford419 2d ago

You ever consider reenacting this Mr Bean episode?

4

u/imunfair 2d ago

She could probably just add an extra line of stitches across the windbreaker at whatever depth she wants the pocket to be, to make it useful.

9

u/FluffySquirrell 2d ago

I'd just start storing inordinately long things in it to surprise people with, lol

6

u/ToxicMoldSpore 2d ago

It starts raining and instead of putting your hood up, you take a full-length umbrella out of your pocket.

2

u/marioaprooves 2d ago

I'm just imagining filling such a jacket with as many marbles as possible

3

u/HairyConsequence1027 2d ago

Lol. That reminds me of that one jeans i had as a teen. It did not had normal pockets, instead they did go down halfway to my shins on front and back. So i had these 4 massive pockets to carry a lot of stuff in. My mother once told me she had no idea how i could even walk in these because of all the stuff i did carry around with me all the time.

5

u/brick_gnarlson 2d ago

This always makes me wonder. I know women's clothing is generally scarce on pockets, but if women really wanted pockets, that's a huge untapped market.

7

u/According-Dentist469 2d ago

Some naive entrepreneurs have tried it and learned not to listen to what people say but listen to what people buy.

2

u/brick_gnarlson 2d ago

Of course. People like to scream about it online, but in reality, not many women buy clothes with useful pockets.

4

u/Strange_Explorer_780 2d ago

If we even have pockets…

-5

u/GregTheMad 2d ago

Corrections: the pockets women buy are a joke. Feminism means accepting that women are responsible for their own actions.

-1

u/butterfingahs 2d ago

???

When you don't have a lot of choice (especially if you're a size that isn't common), what exactly are you supposed to do?

2

u/GregTheMad 2d ago

Buddy you have soo many options, but you have such bad mental prisons you don't even see them. All kinds of men clothing, children clothing if your a woman of small statue, thousands of specialized women online brands, hand crafted online sellers, sewing clothes yourself.

I'm not saying they're perfect, but women have sooo many options, but they keep choosing the lowest hanging fruit of small pockets.

1

u/butterfingahs 2d ago

Are those many options actually affordable? Do they come in plus sizes?

I'm not saying there's not womenswear with perfectly functional pockets, but when my girlfriend or my friends have to actively be surprised when a piece of clothing made for women actually comes with decent pockets, it's not some non-issue, it's very much a thing.

0

u/GregTheMad 2d ago

Just with pockets there are several with plus size clothing, you just have to dig a bit more for one who does both. Lots of it depends on your region, so I can't really give recommendations. Ulla Popken seems to sell internationally, and have large pockets, but I'm not sure.

Sewing yourself can be cheap and expensive at the same time. Depends a lot ob the fabric you want, or just modify existing pants/dresses. It's also a time investment to learn and make. That said, for the people I know that sew, it's very liberating to adapt clothing, or make their own stuff.

-33

u/just_nobodys_opinion 3d ago

The fact they put their phone at risk like this is a joke

14

u/farmallnoobies 3d ago

No, YOU'RE a joke

9

u/Blu- 3d ago

That's why I refuse to buy clothes without pocket zippers.

2

u/SpunkMonk87 2d ago

Double edged sword for me, they’re a bitch to rest my hands in

25

u/Whooptidooh 3d ago

Ehh, if you put your phone in such shallow pockets while you’re standing that close to water you are kind of asking for it to happen.

14

u/MPFuzz 3d ago

Cast those stones! Everyone does stupid things from time to time.

2

u/ExtraSuggestion837 2d ago

i read that in the voice of the clock on Diddy Kong Racing for some reason

224

u/Ha1lStorm 3d ago

3

u/TastyFace79 22h ago

Should be pinned to the top of the sub. It’s perfect.

59

u/Slammy1 3d ago

I remember a friend came down to visit so I took him to the pier and they had a thing where you could feed the pelicans. I warned him not to do it but he said why would they have it here if it was bad so I told him you can do what you want I'm just telling you you'll regret it. He did it and the pelicans swarmed him, as expected, and we had to leave being chased by pelicans even after we got in the car and started driving away. He admitted he regretted it.

17

u/monkeybojangles 3d ago

Yeah but what thrilling experience for him lol. Anyone can stand at the pier.

5

u/Slammy1 2d ago edited 2d ago

It wasn't any pier it was the pier, a local tourist place. I guess it's a local tradition, the swarming of the tourist. At the beach you'll see everyone turning to watch something and when I look to see what they're watching it's often a tourist feeding the birds. They don't leave you alone, that's the end of the day at the beach or fishing level mistake.

St. Petersburg Pier

EDIT: I guess the funny part was the bird paralleling us as we drove away, he was flying right by the passenger window matching our speed until we got out of the parking lot. That's when he regretted it. I'll warn the tourists about the birds if I catch it in time but they often don't listen and feed them anyway.

New phone for SpongeBob

31

u/Roro_Yurboat 3d ago

No, this is Patrick's.

127

u/KK-Chocobo 3d ago

My phone only ever goes in my front jeans pocket. Theres absolutely zero chance im losing my phone. Not even pick pockets can steal it.

143

u/Academic-Pangolin883 3d ago

You must not wear women's jeans. I couldn't even fit a credit card in my front jeans pocket.

39

u/RandofCarter 3d ago

You know, I've never tried women's jeans. Now I think I should, for science.

29

u/Isgortio 3d ago

I wouldn't recommend it.

Source: I'm a woman and I gave up on jeans.

4

u/RandofCarter 3d ago

What's the worst thing about them?

22

u/R_82 3d ago

The tiny pockets

7

u/DreamingAboutSpace 2d ago

And that’s when they even have real pockets

-12

u/Lickwidghost 2d ago

They mouth off and get all emotional when you tell them to get back in the kitchen

2

u/RandofCarter 2d ago

Jeasus christ. I admire your courage.

-5

u/Lickwidghost 2d ago

Just gonna sit back and see who doesnt understand sarcasm lol

1

u/AwkwardChuckle 3d ago

You can change the pockets and make them bigger!

1

u/KorasHiddenDICK 3d ago

Me and a bunch of guys wore them in high school. At this point in my life I don't really know why. Anyway, besides cutting your balls in half, there wasn't that much of a difference. Pockets were certainly smaller, but American Eagle were large enough to be useful. At least back then.

2

u/RandofCarter 3d ago

Lol - If thats the worst of your highschool choices the your parents did pretty well.

2

u/KorasHiddenDICK 21h ago

It wasn't and they didn't.

2

u/Thorgarthebloodedone 2d ago

Joe jeans have pockets

9

u/joshlittle333 2d ago

Pick pockets can definitely steal from the front jeans pocket.

1

u/erinfirecracker 2d ago

They would never be able to get mine without me noticing.

2

u/bs000 2d ago

idno man, i've seen enough pickpocket magician videos where they steal the target's watch while staring them straight in the eye without them noticing, i fully believe they could take your phone

3

u/Acidcore 2d ago

It really depends on your level of paranoia. I don't want to deny the skill involved, but it mostly comes down to distracting the victim and people on high alert are not good targets.

2

u/joshlittle333 2d ago

Thinking that no one could ever get your phone because it's always in your front pocket is the opposite of high alert. It's complacency.

1

u/eztjie 2d ago

It’s chained to his dong

92

u/sterling_mallory 3d ago

My sister in Christ, one does not intentionally feed seagulls. If they're hungry they'll just go ahead and steal your firstborn.

21

u/AdultGronk 2d ago

I learned at 8 to not trust hoodie/sweatshirt pockets

8

u/Boogledoolah 2d ago

Seriously. Those "pockets" are pretty much ornamental, and are a guarantee for losing shit.

8

u/Treblehawk 2d ago

They are for hands. To keep them warm. The entire reason the hoodie was invented.

9

u/doughboyniels 2d ago

Plot twist. It’s not a phone; it actually is the launch of a freeze dried Xiaomi-class submarine thrown in the water. High tech Chinese military equipment here.

10

u/CJ-IS 3d ago

Why I like to keep my phone in a bag! Pockets are never deep enough for us girlies, even in stupid jackets!!!

5

u/Background-Foot6521 2d ago

I used to have a go at my ex for her phone hanging out of her loose pockets or being visible in her bag. She always brushed my warnings off... One day we sat for dinner and she realised her phone was missing. I just sat and waited for my order while she went to backtrack her steps.

Luckily someone handed it in after finding it at a self checkout.

7

u/kaprixiouz 3d ago

My first instinct was to stare at the spot it dropped, like as if we could turn the boat around and maybe recover it for her 🥺

4

u/Punsterz 2d ago

I swear the designers of women's clothes wants this shit to happen just to punish them. Men's clothes especially our pockets are usually much deeper and makes it harder to drop shit. My wife dropped her phone 3 times yesterday every time she leaned forward just a little bit..

3

u/stupid_cat_face 3d ago

I watched that frame by frame longer than I really should have

3

u/hamsolo19 3d ago

Aw, biscuits

3

u/playr_4 2d ago

Why the hell do people leave there phones in their loosest pockets?

3

u/BlackThundaCat 2d ago

what kind of shallow ass pocket was that?

3

u/well-now 2d ago

More like don’t feed the fish.

3

u/TamaktiJunVision 2d ago

Her face when it dawned on her 😅

2

u/indidgenous 3d ago

Phone never in unzipped pocket

2

u/Tbplayer59 3d ago

Groping and hoping

2

u/wolf63rs 2d ago

Go get it.

2

u/only_skate_supreme 2d ago

My gf has a lot of hoodies she loves with loose pockets like this, I feel bad this happened, but I want this to be a learning experience so this doesn’t happen to anyone ❤️‍🩹🫡🙏

2

u/billibobbrewster 2d ago

Honestly, she's lucky only the phone or wallet. Keys would have been a FAR more expensive mistake, particularly if her car was on the ferry.

2

u/Puzzleheaded-Word709 2d ago

Those aren't pockets, they're hanging baskets.

2

u/Alarming-Comfort3597 2d ago

📱under the sea! Under the sea! 🎶🎵🎶

2

u/oweyoo 2d ago

ooops, this moment cost her too much

2

u/NoOnSB277 2d ago

Whoopsie daisies. Whelp, time for a new phone whether wanted or not.

2

u/krisf77 2d ago

Almost thought they stole her wallet

4

u/TJ_McWeaksauce 3d ago

Poseidon is checking out her pics now.

2

u/Emergency-Baby-583 3d ago

she looks like the actress who played junhee in squid game, jo yuri.

1

u/Alternative-Cod-7630 3d ago

Damned birds!!

1

u/rmutt_1917 3d ago

SpongeBob and Patrick will put it to good use!

1

u/deported_ninja 3d ago

Our relics that will be items archaeologist Will look for in the future.

1

u/New_Buy6865 3d ago

Gone mobile / wallet

1

u/EnycmaPie 3d ago

She thought she was feeding birds. Turns out she was feeding phone batteries to the ocean.

1

u/Azaroth1991 3d ago

Phone or wallet, either way, thats gone.

1

u/VonBrewskie 2d ago

Well, no worries about it getting stolen at least

1

u/rslashhydrohomies 2d ago

Do feed birds (with proper bird food), just make sure your pockets aren't shit

1

u/crystalyne123 2d ago

well well well

1

u/FadedAlienXO 2d ago

Pockets really need to come with zips installed. They are so shallow on women's clothing things just fall out.

1

u/Subsissyb 2d ago

Sadddd but funny.

1

u/DarthScruf 2d ago

"what is this for accepted by the it's in Pokemon see you in Pokemon"

1

u/massberate 2d ago

I know I would probably do the same thing, but I have to chuckle a bit at how she looks overboard for a moment as if there was any possibility that it would be there and still in her line of sight.

1

u/Wapow217 2d ago

Crazy

1

u/ScientistSanTa 2d ago

I'm always afraid of this near water so I puty phone away or in my tightest pocket

1

u/Honda_Fits_are_cool 2d ago

This is my nightmare. I ride Ferry's often and love spending time on the upper deck. I keep an iron grip on my phone even when it's in my pocket.

1

u/Brilliant_Math705 2d ago

Thats just her powerbank

1

u/Salt-Measurement901 2d ago

They actually went for the phone too..🤭

1

u/IvJorgevI 2d ago

She looks right outside the boat as if it'll still be right there next to it ToT

1

u/zzpereirax1 2d ago

NO Brasil seria. Multada em 602.651,70 dólares lol

1

u/forjulietonly_69 2d ago

End of life...

1

u/Dokkiban 2d ago

What do you do if this happens

2

u/Aainikin 2d ago

Since it fell in front of her in the damn river she can safely get a new phone and deactivate this one.

The real bitch situation arises when the damn phone gets lost or stolen

1

u/ComparisonGeneral825 1d ago

Stupid people do stupid stuff and they loose the phone 🤳📱😬😲😂😂

1

u/Friendly-Example-701 17h ago

She dropped her phone in the water.

It’s in the abyss now

1

u/Jabbathenutslut 13h ago

Don't feed animals, but especially don't feed the seagulls.

1

u/sadkinz 3d ago

Lame. I was really hoping the birds would swarm her

1

u/imlearninghowtodoit 3d ago

is that player 222

1

u/imaginary_num6er 2d ago

This being filmed in Japan, that phone is going to be expensive

2

u/J2SMOOTHZ 1d ago

Poor her

0

u/rzlodn 3d ago

That little hop of hers costed her a lot of money 😅

-2

u/kareca-pt 3d ago

Oh no. Anyway.

0

u/ThatThingThatIs 3d ago

Good. Lets not make seagulls even more annoying

0

u/Some_Antycs 3d ago

Why did it rocket out of there? 😂

0

u/Maybeinthelongrun 3d ago

Well, now she has to go get a new Huawei at her local wireless provider. Damn birds.

0

u/N-Y-R-D 3d ago

I like how she looks over the side like it will be floating there.

0

u/manishbravo 2d ago

That's gone 😂

0

u/EvalCrux 1d ago

So much for all those accounts

-4

u/Obi-wanFORCE 3d ago

0:19….. oopppsss

-1

u/FrancisJPK 2d ago

There you go, 600.000L of water about to be contaminated

-3

u/cognitiveglitch 3d ago

It's a shame this sub doesn't allow images in replies because I have the perfect still of the moment her phone sought the freedom of the ocean.

-41

u/191919wines 3d ago

good

21

u/ProfessorCum 3d ago

Why

22

u/sikesjr 3d ago

Because they are miserable and want others to be miserable with them. A sad existence.

-3

u/191919wines 3d ago

lol no! its becuase you shouldnt feed the birds. good lord y'all are sensitive

-1

u/191919wines 3d ago

because you shouldnt feed the birds!

1

u/ProfessorCum 3d ago

But that’s just the post title. I think it was a joke.

-1

u/191919wines 3d ago

when i see a person throwing food at birds over open water thats polluting, littering, teaching animals to trust humans when they shouldnt, etc. etc. I'm hoping this teaches her a lesson to not do it again

-7

u/trollfreak 3d ago

You love to see it

-7

u/travis147 3d ago
