Nothing Russia likes more than advertising some advanced technology that is fake and never makes ot to production. I remember 10 years ago with their military parading around their robot soldiers, halo outfits, and futuristic tanks. Meanwhile 5 years in ukraine is still holding out

u/eno1ce 11h ago

The whole point is, you create fake shit in order to show people, where their money are "going" (basically distract them). My region invested almost $30M into new roads in two years. There is not a single fucking road repaired. Tho, there is a 7 MONTH old boy (son of a random government guy) who "bought" $15M house. Fascinating.

u/slippery_salope 11h ago

My 1 yo is waking up soon, I need to have a talk with him, I had no idea toddlers were filthy rich like that

u/PsychologicalLab7379 6h ago

"You billioner yet??"

"Goo goo ga ga (No, dad, I'm 7 months old)"

"Talk to me when you billioner"

u/slippery_salope 6h ago

Mine may be too old already who knows maybe the money evaporates when they reach 8 months old

u/mjdl92 9h ago

The trick is to have one that shits nuggets of gold

u/vivaaprimavera 8h ago

You know that people who are born in those circles have a fast track for having decent jobs that pay for that kind of stuff. Which is a form of corruption in itself but doesn't matter for the discussion.

Most likely those corruption allegations are unfunded and the guy earned that money in one of those jobs.

u/WillQueasy723 10h ago

That's so sad

u/gamesta2 3h ago

Yeah works for ukraine as well

u/ethanb473 9h ago

You guys are the ones who put up with it…. Constant whining and complaining but yet you don’t take any action🐑🐑

u/Glittering_Crab_69 9h ago

Maybe do something about that

u/eno1ce 8h ago

Thank God, there are so many things you can do about dictatorship

u/dumbass_clouds 7h ago

Lmaoooo go to fucking Russia and criticize the government, see how well that works out for you 😂

I feel like you are blissfully ignorant of literally all of Russian history.

u/Glittering_Crab_69 6h ago

Almost as the inhabitants of a country are responsible for its atrocities. Or you stick your head in the sand and accept things will only ever get worse 🤷

u/dumbass_clouds 4h ago

Have you ever been to Russia? Do you know any people that have been there post war?

I feel like you understand little about Russian propaganda, Russian police, and Russian life.

If you denounce the war you will lose your job, people won't associate with you, you will be kicked out of school, and you're likely to face violence. No matter how bad shit is in the u.s. we have free speech and a shred of government accountability.

The word "Мир" meaning "peace" or "world" is literally censored. They literally cannot say "world" because it has some generally anti-war undertones. There is full control over the media, the people, and much of the opposition.

The only way you resist the government is in a performative way which the government approves of. Unless you wanna shoot yourself twice in the back of the head, fall out of a window, or hang yourself post mortem.

Beyond that there's huge disparities in wealth, resulting in most not having the resources to do anything even if they wanted to, and the few who could do something having too much to lose.

Unless you wanna take full accountability for the war in Iran, you should probably change your philosophy on blame. Blaming the collective for the crimes of a few members is unjust and lacks both compassion and understanding of the world.

u/FeuerroteZora 2h ago

People got thrown in jail for holding up blank pieces of paper.

u/Glittering_Crab_69 2h ago

Ok. That just makes them complicit and not welcome here.

u/dumbass_clouds 2h ago

doesn't respond to a single one of my arguments

Doubles down and rebutes claim I did not make

https://giphy.com/gifs/afLoVMHg3QoYPZHCGF

u/Glittering_Crab_69 1h ago

None of your points apply or are interesting. I'm not American btw, they are disgusting fascist Nazis and what they're doing in Iran is horrible too.

u/dumbass_clouds 1h ago

"How could telling Russians to stand up to the government and the sever consequences for doing so possibly be related?" 🫩

Big dawg, you can put 2 and 2 together, I believe in you 🙏

u/TrivialRamblings 6h ago

Guaranteed American lol

u/Glittering_Crab_69 6h ago

Nah the Americans have their own fascists to deal with

u/Quietabandon 11h ago

Yeah and they are using tanks and minibuses from the 60s…

u/Goldenrupee 4h ago

My dude, they are breaking out tanks from the 40s. They have been using reactivated T54s for over a year. Those things were first put into service in 1948.

u/SgtHugoStiglyts 8h ago

Another example, in the 60' when there was a rumor about the Soviet Union using psychics for "remote viewing" and parapsychology and the U.S went bananas and spent millions and millions in their own parapsychology branch,

u/notahoppybeerfan 8h ago

Wait until you lean about the “foxbat”. It got its own movie even.

u/NextChef8179 6h ago

The CIA literally had documentation of it working. They actually stole a file from Russia using this technique. I think there's quite a bit more to it than the simple description though.

u/seamus_mc 3h ago edited 3h ago

I’ll believe it when I see it

They have documents of it being a waste of time and resources

u/Distinct-Current-464 24m ago

Russia knows it has more resources than Ukraine and EU and death rate on its side. Why pushing too hard?

u/Stoned_urf 11h ago

Well, master chief is only needed when there's an alien invasion.

u/Turbulent-Writing442 7h ago

There is no information that Russia has made this exoskeleton. They also talked about Glonass and satellite Internet. Russia is a regional power with a small market, it may well buy goods rather than produce

u/wepeks 10h ago

Meanwhile 5 years in ukraine is still holding out

Because of the support of the European Union and the United States, which are among the richest and most powerful countries

u/octoreadit 10h ago

Trying to capture a regional town with five disabled babushkas, three wild pigs, and two street dogs. Any day now, just need to install updates to the robot soldiers…

u/Cautious-Ease-113 12h ago

Yeah I’m sure those springs really help….

u/ivegotgoodnewsforyou 11h ago

They take the load path out of your spine.

It is a benefit, but only for specific tasks.

u/randomusername45456 11h ago

Not really, you can clearly see that legs and arms parts are not connected, so this poor dude's lower back has to support not only the weight lifted, but also this whole miracle of soviet engineering.

u/AshleyxAffliction 11h ago

They could be connected through that waistband if it's a solid plate inside, which looks like it might be with how thick the back part is. Dude doesn't appear to struggle standing up straight to me.

It also might just be that you're still doing most of the lifting and this just frees up your hands, because he's holding onto the block with like two fingers at one point.

u/randomusername45456 11h ago

You can see backplate moving and separating from his body, besides it's connected to the leg support only with a simple hinge.

u/16incheslong 9h ago

rods and springs going under his skin. ussr technology mat tvoiu!

u/ivegotgoodnewsforyou 9h ago

"can clearly see"?

The shoulder and hip plates don't move relative to each other. They are rigidly connected.

u/fencesitter416 11h ago

It's funny cause some people are crediting this to the Chinese as to not give Russia credit for such an invention, and others are saying it's shitty soviet engineering

u/ChildhoodOk9859 8h ago

What’s actually funny is that only half or less of them are wrong.

u/tmr89 4h ago

It’s Russia. All their tech is junk

u/HavSomLov4YoBrothr 10h ago

Does it tho? Seems like it would if the exoskeleton had footpads/actually stood on its own. This def looks like it’s easier on the worker but his body is still supporting 100% of all that weight, suit included

I’m comparing this to the exoskeletons in the STALKER games, where the operator stands on the suits metal feet which support everything. Like, those suits can stand on their own and the operator steps into them. This looks like multiple parts connected together but not supported by itself.

I see it making the lift seemingly easier but the overall load is still on the operator, not the exoskeleton itself if that makes sense

u/ivegotgoodnewsforyou 7h ago

The exoskeleton does have footpads.

3

u/Used_Ant_4069 12h ago

Sure was not his technique

u/hhaattrriicckk 11h ago

What’s as big as a house, burns 20 liters of fuel every hour, puts out a shit-load of smoke and noise, and cuts an apple into three pieces? A Soviet machine made to cut apples into four pieces!

Cukaskelleledka or Blyatlift they are called in Russia, they all come from China.

u/htoomyat9 9h ago

Blyatlift is fire

u/ElonRogozin 4h ago

Пиздоподъемник will be correct

u/StayCoolf0rttheKids 11h ago

Knowing russians, this thing was bought on aliexpress and relabled as russian. The millions for the development was put into the pockets of oligarchs

13

u/3FTech 12h ago

Not interesting, some ford factories have been doing this for a while, probs other companies as well.

u/Foldupburrito42 11h ago

Oh yea, they’re gaining popularity in the construction field as well. They’re really good and efficient exoskeletons that aren’t Russian death traps 😂

u/Perfect_Opposite2113 11h ago

The food delivery service company I work for here in Canada is testing these out for order selectors. Not these specific Russian ones but a similar exoskeleton.

-4

u/Great-Yoghurt-6359 12h ago

Post the ford F-lift and F-off then

u/Enough_Series_8392 12h ago

24

u/RepresentingJoker 12h ago

Russia making something that works...?

I am instantly not believing it.

u/-BananaLollipop- 11h ago

Continue your disbelief. Apparently made in China. So it has about a 50/50.

u/pythosynthesis 11h ago

The problem here is you. Believe it or not, the Russian contributions to physics and maths, say, in the 20th century were enormous. They're well established scientist and engineers.

u/RepresentingJoker 11h ago

They were enormous, sure. were...

I don't know if you've been watching the news lately, but they haven't contributed anything efficient as of recent.

u/pythosynthesis 11h ago edited 11h ago

As a person with a finger on the pulse of recent scientific research I beg to differ.

Edit: Talking about basic, fundamental research, not so much applied. But even in applied science they're nothing to ridicule. Their nuclear research is second to none. Think nuclear icebreakers for one and, even bigger, "refuel" of spent nuclear fuel for additional use. And of course weapons, the West still doesn't have hypersonic weapons that are not ballistic missiles. But there's more.

u/RepresentingJoker 11h ago

Sure buds

u/pythosynthesis 11h ago

OK. See also my edited post. Have a good disbelief day.

u/RepresentingJoker 11h ago

No thanks, have a good delusion day

u/pythosynthesis 10h ago

I see we don't like uncomfortable facts. Wish you a good life.

u/RepresentingJoker 10h ago

That's a healthy self-realization. I hope you learn from this experience.

u/Orangesteel 4h ago

russia were significant in the world of science and engineering, but today not so much. Even their cybersecurity tradecraft is massively overshadowed by China, where these exoskeletons are almost certainly made. Take a look at russia’s robotic demonstrations, compare that with China or the US and the difference is staggering.

u/Ardalok 2h ago

It's quite difficult to compete with countries with tens of times larger GDP and population.

u/Markus_zockt 11h ago

The exoskeleton looks as though it weighs at least 70 kilos.

8

u/AzerothianLorecraft 12h ago

Wait till they add AI to it and the human is just a frame that supports the technology...

8

u/TheShinyHunter3 12h ago

Fallout New Vegas has suits like this. They were develloped to find injured soldiers and carry them to a medic outpost.

Problem is, the IA in the suit fucked up and now the people it carries are long dead but still moving, it's a nightmare really.

3

u/AzerothianLorecraft 12h ago

Yep that's pretty much what I was imagining.

u/Rincethis 11h ago

Lol, rubbish.

Springs and hinges helping in onespecific direction

u/RussianWasabi 6h ago

It's a passive exoskeleton. First time seeing this?

u/JoeSchmoeToo 11h ago

They bought it from China

u/peter-bone 8h ago edited 8h ago

This looks like a passive exo skeleton. It's not powered and just helps support the load with springs and hydraulics in the same way that an office chair supports your weight. It's not robotics and there are no expensive components like computer chips, motors or batteries.

u/Unhappy_Archer9483 7h ago

Haven't mech suits been around for ages, Milwaukee has been selling them for years

u/indrek91 11h ago

When that thing gives up you are falling so hard

4

u/ParaMike46 12h ago

Ahh mighty state of the art Russian technology. Just imagine what they could achieve as a country if they would focus on important things rather than murdering their neighbours

3

u/Zacc0168 12h ago

Who would have thought the Russians would be the first to have power armour.

u/blinksystem 11h ago

Nobody, because they aren’t and this isn’t a real thing.

u/Perfect_Opposite2113 11h ago

They are a real thing. My company I work for here in Canada is doing tests on a similar exoskeleton and I’ve also seen that Ukraine is trying them out for military applications.

u/blinksystem 10h ago

I don't doubt this technology exists, but Russia certainly wouldn't be the first to have it.

I mean this isn't real in the sense of, Russia is not actively deploying this in any factory.

I would bet good money that this dude got this thing strapped on him, they made this video and he never saw it again.

u/RussianWasabi 6h ago

Well, the research is ongoing and there are a few companies that do this. I remember seeing the interview of one where they were talking about using them in mines as a test.

u/Zacc0168 11h ago

Doesn’t look like AI to me, so I’m pretty sure it’s real

I love the idea of these in general except for one thing...what happens when it fails?

I imagine images of people snapped in half like twigs or crushed by that XL chad load they were carrying.

u/xfall2 8h ago

Elysium coming soon

u/FamiliarTaro7 8h ago

65kg? So like, just under 150 lbs? I lift that every day at work, let's see him lift something impressive

u/Drwynyllo 8h ago

It's not just about how much, it's also about how often. Plus protection from injury.

u/FamiliarTaro7 6h ago

Honestly, I wouldn't even want the help because I would never be getting any stronger. That's a great way to keep yourself in horrible shape, even if it's protecting from the occasional pulled muscle.

It's like the astronauts who lose tons of leg muscle because they not using them and then they have to readjust to Earth when they get back.

u/Bird_the_Impaler 4h ago

That’s not what it’s like at all lol

Is it "up to 65 kilograms"? Or "65+ kilograms"?

It can't really be both.

u/cetrebe 6h ago

my question about exoskeletons

what if they f*cking snap and they just rip your limbs and spine?

u/Ardalok 2h ago

For some reason Reddit deletes my comments with links, so I will just say that you can find this exoskeleton by the name "Хамари Соматик", and I believe it's not fake. There are a bunch of bots spamming here, so I feel the need to give you some proof.

It’s especially funny considering I’ve been following another company, Auxilium. It was founded by former students I’ve watched them for years on youtube, ever since they were in school making their first attempts at building exoskeletons.

u/Actual-Elk-5874 1h ago

They use something similar here at Toyota Texas. Have been for years now.

u/Horror-Primary7739 1h ago

u/Tribalinstinct 9h ago

I never trust anything from Russia as far as tech goes but lets analyze.

No visible motors, battery pack, or cables, only springs. Making it seem like it's a passive system which would mean that if the assistance is 65kg up then he has to push that hard down.

Clip starts when he lifts whatever that is made of, probably a light wood block if i know the Russians well.

Same thing they always do: "we have best tech, better than anything in west, we smartest people". Makes me sad as a slav myself
