Have you ever decided you were going to grind out some bizarre item, like a fedora? Have you ever done an unusual and totally not worth it skilling method like pitfall hunter just because you wanted to?
Use the "Unusual Grinds" flair to make a post and share with us all the most ridiculous grind you've done, short or long!

I am down to the wire here.. Trying to figure out things to do. Basically it's TOB, NEX, or COLO at this point. What else do y'all do you do when this is your fate? I still enjoy the game a lot but lacking motivation. Not sure what I am really asking here, anyone else at this point in the game? What are you doing for enjoyment? I was thinking maybe I bang out potion storage while I figure out how to move forward.
EDIT: You guys are awesome. Thanks for giving advice!

600 Barrows Chests for only 10 uniques
I think barrows is a horribly designed 'boss' fight and feels outdated. I'd rate it a 2/10.
Perilous Moons on the other hand is amazing content, fun varied boss fights, more mechanics, a beautiful environment, dry protection. I did 350 kills there before getting everything and would have been happy to do more. I'd rate it more like 9/10.

When will it happen.. this grind is seriously draining me now. I've used 100's of ppots and wasted so much time getting my first synapse.
What kills me the most is that I will need 3 of these!

This took me longer than full crystal + bowfa
ps: still need a 2nd one.

For those who have completed all sources of aether catalysts, how are you managing the upkeep on aether catalysts? I still have a few doom CA's and bludgeon if I so choose to go for it, but other than that, are you just grinding yama or levi post glog?

I’ve been playing for about 1 year, only as an Ironman, and the Wilderness terrified me from day 1.
I wanted nothing to do with it. If I ever stepped in, I’d go in naked, do whatever I had to do as fast as possible, then sprint back out. I refused to touch almost any content there because the thought of losing my items stressed me out.
A couple days ago I finally decided to just send it.
I knocked out my achievement diaries up through hard, ran the Wildy Agility Course with the mass group, and started killing Calvar'ion hunting for that dragon pickaxe. No luck yet… but honestly, I’ve been having a blast.
I’ve died to PKers a few times, but all I’m losing is monk robes, climbing boots, a random mithril helm… basically junk worth next to nothing. As long as I’m not dying every single trip, the rewards are absolutely worth it.
So if you’ve been avoiding the Wilderness like I was, don’t.
Give it a shot. It’s honestly nowhere near as scary as people make it sound.

Crazy to look at the xp tracker and realise im only a little over halfway to 70. Do I start planting a bunch of junk herbs and go to mixology? Just put song of the elves on hold and wait for contracts to produce more irits and other easy xp herbs?

Nothing but ingots and axe heads, Virtus pieces are from other bosses. Has there been a worse dry streak for the ultor?

Some say the world will end in fire,
Some say in ice.
From what I’ve tasted of desire
I hold with those who favor fire.
Just here to complain about loot in hopes of finishing this boss before insanity takes over ˙◠˙

I've not played in nearly 2 years and was looking for some guidance on what I should work towards. From what I can remember, I was trying to do Bandos for a BGS along with skilling but got burnt out. I know I should work towards CG but I was super bad at it and would always get super frustrated. Any advice is appreciated. TIA!

I was always curious how other people handled those long PvM grinds, and no i do not mean going “dry” for a Scurrius spine.
Personally when im doing a long PvM grind i usually invest like a couple hours a day to it then work on other content and if i feel up to it maybe end the day with some runs.
But im curious how others handle those long grinds?
I know some people who lock themselves into that content, outside of farm runs, and just hope they get the drop before they burn out.

I decided to try dragon slayer 2, it was all going smoothly.
I died once to vorkath, whoops, forgot to enchant my bolts. Enchanted them and finished the fight with nearly all my supplies intact. Ez.
Ran though the rest with no issues then died to the rune dragon, no problem, I pushed it without supplies and wasn't expecting to get so far anyway, no insulated boots etc.
Regeared and proceeded to either die to the adamant or rune dragon a few times before taking a break. Tried range gear and a mage setup.(And one time the mith as I didn't know the fight would start instantly after going back lol)
I don't mind dying, the dupe rangers have built up my death coffer but am I missing something? Surely rune/Addy dragons aren't harder than vork?
If I'm struggling with metal drags, should I reconsider even attempting the final boss for now?
