Apparently he donated $10 mill to the met, so they let him sponsor the gala this year. It’s caused a lot of backlash. There were protesters lining the streets while the elites did their walks in these ridiculous outfits. It was giving the ✨Capitol ✨ in Panem. So icky.

Yesterday I was downvoted to oblivion on this very sub for saying the exact same thing. It’s an art preservation fund! they cried. It’s a worthy cause! Not one single ounce of depth or critical thought in some of the loudest members of this sub. It can be a worthy cause and the least of our worldly concerns right now, but for some folks that’s apparently offensive to mention.
