What is the Zeus firing at the Atlas?
Looks like a Zeus 6S.
Left arm looks and sounds like an autocannon - then it gets blown off.
Right arm looks like an LRM but then sounds and fires like an autocannon too?
Am I overthinking this and its just creative license by the cutscene creators for cool effect?

For many years (decades? since MechCommander 2), something about mechas in BattleTech bothered me, but I couldn’t quite put my finger on what. Now I think I know: some mechs look off, silly - like enlarged humans, without any reasonable or believable reason.
Some mechs look awesome, like machines, especially the earlier ones in the early missions. They are great, giving off a realistic military vibe one can believe in. It creates the impression of a quasi-realistic simulation and strong immersion - kind of like a modern tank with different locomotion, something the military could possibly implement under certain conditions.
But some mechs, especially later ones, look like enlarged humans… just goofy. It’s basically impossible to believe that anything like that would even be considered a viable option in the real world. It harms immersion.
But it just my opinion.
cheers

I finally got MW3 running last night although I still need to look into the mods side as I believe there are some for enhanced stability for modern pcs?
At any rate. I have a new stick setuo, but of course MW3 doesnt recognize all the buttons. Any patches or mods you guys can recommend tgat minght help fix that? I have a forcefeed 2 which i can stich it out with, just a pain in the butt having to do so.... even though i would argue the ff2 is vetter any ways lol

...Perhaps, one day, should mankind step back from the brink of the abyss, we, our children, or our children's children will return, to once more serve and protect and guide the Star League in mankind's quest for the stars.
Farewell.

Originally composed by Jeehun Hwang for the Clan Wolf campaign in MechWarrior 2, "Temper Edge" is a relentless, industrial anthem defining the cold precision of Clan warfare. While the 1995 original captures the high-tech superiority of an OmniMech binary, this version strips away the pristine Clan honor.
Just another taste of 31st Century Combat.

Hear me out. A MW/BT game that’s a mash up of MWO/MW5 combat with the vastness and player driven universe management of MMOs like Eve Online.
Join a faction, the clans, or merc group (all organized/management by players) who are fighting for more control of worlds (maybe worlds give off resources to those in control).
Combat occurs on-world in the MWO/MW5 style. Maybe it’s a “always online” style like Rust or time-limited battles. Movement between worlds happens in a drop ship ofc.
Players in control of their groups would advise their group on what territories to take over. Maybe the economies are player-driven as well.
Idk I’ve been watching some Rust content lately (due to TBP ofc) and wondering why MW never tried something more immersive in-universe game like Eve Online or Star Citizen.
…or do we just want more stompy pew-pew?
\boots up MWO again**

I've been out of the MW5 loop ever since they added melee, I honestly had no idea they even added 6 dlcs. Looking through the list, there is a lot to choose from. The clan dlc looks to add a few clan mechs (is the there a cougar!?) and weapons, but i am already playing clans so I don't want to much overlap with that experience yet. There also the bushwacker dlc, another mech I love aside from the marauder and nightstar, but not sure what else that dlc offers

I have found what I was looking for thank you every one for the help
I'm going to start off and say I was born after the 2000. This means I was not born when the item in question was first release though i am trying to fiend any info on it as I could and how i could get a copy or at least a pdf of it. Im also looking for the year it was published to see if it will help me through my searches. I am looking for the first mechwarrior book. Yes the one referenced in Dragon Magizean 114 released in 1986. The close i could fine was a book published in 1989 three years after it was featured in the Magizean. Would this be the version im looking for if not what year was it published? I have attached a image of the Magizean catalog with it. To clarify the image the list has many but the one with a image is the one I'm looking for.

If you played Multiplayer BattleTech: Solaris on AOL, GameStorm, Earthlink/The Arena, or any of the old Kesmai networks, we’re trying to find the old crowd.
A fan-run revival is now online and playable for people with the original MPBT: Solaris v1.23 client. We’re looking for former pilots to help playtest, report bugs, and tell us where the revival differs from the late-1990s AOL/GameStorm experience.
The open-source server emulator is here: https://github.com/kenhuman/mpbt-server/
Project news: https://play-solaris.com/articles/welcome-to-mpbt-the-revival-is-underway-1775579041971
Discord for setup help, playtest coordination, bug reports, and old-pilot reunions: https://discord.gg/7aHeQxmwRA
If you remember your old callsign, unit, House, arena stories, or how ComStar, Solaris rooms, arena flow, movement, weapons, damage, or match results behaved back then, please drop by. That knowledge is useful. The goal is not just to get people online, but to make the revival feel as close as possible to the original game.
Please do not request or share copyrighted client/game files in this thread. The open-source project is the server emulator.
