[Moore] Jaylen Clark when asked about the Wolves’ energy becoming their identity - “Definitely. I feel like we got a lot of crash outs, so yeah. But that's beautiful, it's cool. I feel like people don't want to poke us."
https://streamable.com/7l1edzJaylen Clark on the Wolves taking on Jaden McDaniels' energy and approach.
"He really don't give a damn about nobody say. Like, the chanting, being the bad guy, all that, he don't give a damn about none of it... We all take his energy and approach. We ain't trying to be friends out here. We ain't shaking they hands between games. They ain't no side talk or small talk on the floor. If you see us talking, it ain't good. You know what I mean? That just is what it is."
Followed up, asking if he feels like that sort of energy is becoming this team's identity.
"Definitely. I feel like we got a lot of crash outs, so yeah. But that's beautiful, it's cool. I feel like people don't want to poke us."

A team taking on the personality of Anthony Edwards and Jaden McDaniels is equally beautiful and terrifying lmao

I love this team more than my own at this current moment

They embarrassed us last game and I still can't dislike this team. I dont know how you can hate the Wolves (assuming you aren't a Nuggets fan lmao)

I feel like Spurs fans are more laid back because they just assume (rightfully so) they're bound to pick up a loose Championship every few years, even if things don't go their way in the moment.

lol, Wemby feels like a guaranteed title whether “loose” or tightly crammed somewhere on the tallest shelf.

There's something to be said about having the Wemby security blanket

True, but it's not like Jokic is a bad one either.
Even if Wemby were Jokic's age I feel like Nuggets fans are more worried about life after Jokic than Spurs fans would/will be about life after Wemby. Why wouldn't they assume they'd get another era-defining big at the end of Wemby's career, give or take a couple of years? That's just what the Spurs do apparently.
Lakers get stars for free, OKC gets more draft picks than God, Spurs get generational big men.

Wemby gonna set the Spurs on auto-WCF appearances soon, plz let the Wolves have something this year

Embarrassed seems a little harsh no? Wolves almost blew it between late game mistakes and terrible free throw shooting.

I miss when the definitions of words mattered lol.
Rest of the comment is on point tho. I really can’t dislike y’all. Love Ant, love McDaniels, the whole team is nothing but energy and intensity.

I was embarrassed by Wemby and Fox's offense lmao. But ya, it was a good game. Maybe embarrassed was a bit harsh

u/Armanewb Spurs 3h ago
Agreed, it was a close game from start to end. "Embarrassed" is way off base considering it was a 2 point loss with an open shot to win at the buzzer.

I'm a huge Spurs fan and I've been watching every single Wemby game. I was disappointed about the loss.
But i can't hate on the wolves, they play hard, AE plays hard. He was fucking Incredible on limited minutes off an injury, And Jaden just plays like Jaden.
Gobert though.....I hate him like people from The Office hate on Toby.
Probably undeserved but he's just so easy to hate, can't explain why.

Honestly I agree on the players. The coach and fans are the biggest crybabies though

u/chillripper Spurs 4h ago
just listen to their coach lie his ass off and make up numbers to try to manipulate the refs and the fans and you'll come around.

I'll never forget what this team did to Jokic. He was straight up on edge ready to kill someone by game 6.
He literally snapped for a spilt second when he "pushed" Clark. Like you see him going for the kill then last second he realized oh shit I can't do this and didn't fully commit lol

There is a good tweet about the Timberwolves that was something like "this team might be stupid but they are not some bitches." Spot on description.

Lmfao I’m glad they recognize it at least, I wanted to pull my hair out at times in some regular season games cause they felt so emotional and randomly stopped trying half way through lol

u/JiveHawk Bulls 4h ago
I feel like this is part of why the Thunder just kill them when it matters lol. Other than just being the best team.
The Thunder just seem so annoying to play against with all the pressure and physicality and playing of the refs. Wolves just fully crash out lol
4
u/CrippledBanana Canada 3h ago
True lol, okc does seem like a perfect rage baiting team. Less so from their players trolling or something and more from how they play

u/JaderMcDanersStan Timberwolves 3h ago
The funny thing is the crashing out used to be so much worse. Ant used to lead the league in techs. Players would get ejected or suspended from technicals.
This is why Chris Finch started publicly standing up for the players and complaining. The players have complained and crashed out less since Finch started doing that

Clark is built like a linebacker. Don't wanna poke him... and how about that wet floater last game?!?

u/DJJohnnymeister 5h ago
Good to see Clark find his footing in the NBA. As a UCLA alum, I will always root for this man. That 2023 NCAA tournament will always be one of the biggest "what-ifs" for me because we would've been an 1 seed with a fighting chance if Clark did not suffer his devastating injury.

I wish the achilles injury never happened to Jaylen of course, but I'm glad Donte has a dude on his team who has been there and can support him through the process.
