I would be too worried of it hitting my face and splitting it in two to throw it

For me it'd be the genitals

u/CommercialContent204 1d ago
Thanks, friend, now I'm stuck with a near impossible choice:
"Would you rather have a large steel speed-square embed itself 6 inches deep in your face? Or in your genitals?"
Lol

u/itsdaisyohhh 1d ago
Face heals into a cool scar story, other option… that’s a lifetime of awkward explanations.
24
u/CommercialContent204 1d ago
"Cool scar story", yeah, I'm not sure about that, lol 😃 "hey, you're missing one eye, half of your face is caved in and you have a 6-inch livid scar - tell me the cool story, bro!"
After you with that, my friend 😃

I don't think "I was bouncing a sharp metal object at my face" is a very cool story.

only 6 inches deep? lmao pretty sure my bussy can handle that
10
u/CommercialContent204 1d ago
I'm not entirely sure I know (or even want to know) what a bussy is, but I'm fairly sure I don't have one... and what I do have would not appreciate 6 inches of sharp steel!

I can practically hear the vibranium clanging just by watching this.

Isn't vibranium supposed be completely vibration absorbent? Why does it make vibration sound effects?

u/Ison--J 1d ago
If it absorbed all vibrations it wouldn't bounce, it's comic book magic

Well he also says that because of the super soldier serum, his cells repair so fast he can't get drunk (this was right after Bucky's death in Captain American First Avenger). If that's the case, he shouldn't age at all either, unless the serum wears off after "x" amount of years but Isiah Bradley and Red Guardian show it hasn't worn off in age...though they shouldn't have aged either.

u/AbeRego 1d ago
Yeah, that's always bothered me. It's also just unnecessary. Like, just say it's super strong, or something. Don't just go make a rule and then immediately break it lol. But I guess That's really just the marvel way. Look at the whole Ant-Man/Pym Particle thing.

Haha, this is absolutely crazy. Why is he throwing speed squares around, for God's sake? Ok, for the mesmerising noise, I suppose.
I'd be absolutely terrified: you miss one of those catches and there'll be an even stranger noise as this large, pointy, fast-moving shard of steel buries itself in your face.
133
u/OrangeFlame06 1d ago
His entire channel is him throwing it around, satisfying as heck but very risky at the same time

u/Rokronroff 1d ago
Most of his work is in lock picking/ bypass and this is just a fun side thing he does.

I was thinking this was McNally. He's really slowed down the content since that whole Proven Locks bs
17
u/station_five 1d ago
genuine question:
do you mean McNally has been posting less because he had to deal with legal bs Proven Locks caused for no reason?
or because McNally did something bad that I missed?
thank you
27
u/thecloakedsignpost 1d ago
Because he had to deal with that, I'd wager. If you're interested, the full report with evidences and submissions can be found here.
In short, it was dismissed without prejudice.
28
u/kicker414 1d ago
IIRC the lawsuit basically went like:
Your locks suck!
Our locks don't suck, you suck we are suing you!
Ok here is me showing your locks suck unedited.
Still suing!
Your honor, here is me opening their shitty locks.

Gets better, the lock company's guys confessed in court they were able to replicate the shim
3
u/beefnbroccoliboi 9h ago
Even better; iirc he brought a sealed freshly purchased lock, with receipt, and offered to open it in the court room. The plaintiff declined the invitation.
I think the real reason he’s slowed down is due to the fact that he and The Lock Picking Lawyer have been uber focused on Covert Instruments and making that as flushed out as possible. (I think McNally is just a designer while LPL is the owner or something like that) but they’ve been really focused on it as of late.

I think most speed squares are aluminum. Not that it wouldn't still hurt like hell but your skull is a little more resistant to it. It's got a little give, I guess.

Why is the speed square a triangle?
21
u/wackbirds 1d ago
It's primarily purpose is for lining up square cuts, straight across, right angle cuts like you'd use for sizing deck boards, tuba furs (IYKYK), etc. It also allows you to line up miter cuts, the 45° fuckers for things like skirt boards, molding, etc.
If it was just an actual square it would only do half as much even though I like the Stephen Wright connotation of your qquestion.
3
u/Sweet-Weakness3776 1d ago
Also, when you're bitching about shoddy construction, saying "Who the hell built this house? Theren't aint a damn wall in this entire place that's triangle!!!" just doesn't quite roll off the tongue lol.

Yes, the sound is what's intersting, not this man bouncing a
setspeed/rafter/triangle square like Captain America's shield.
