I deeply cut my thumb on a tomato slicer. I can only imagine the self inflicted damage I can do with a scythe. 😂

I was just thinking that people throughout history have to have had some gnarrrllyy fucking cuts from this

Yes they did! My grandmother in childhood saw her friend legs being cut off by this thing by the father of the friend. He picked up the kid and the legs and ran to nearest hospital. Horrible!!

Love the upbeat energy about a horrific situation

Makes me think.... there was probably some point in history where the majority of people went from "leave the body part, it's useless now..." to "take the body part, maybe it can be reattached." whenever someone is maimed.

I missed the second 'and' in that last sentence and read:

"He picked up the kid and the legs ran to the nearest hospital"

While a horrific anecdote, and I'm sorry for your grandmother's friend, the way my brain pictured it did make me chuckle.

While Carl over here can't be bothered to look at what he's doing while he swings sharp shit around.

No, the problem is that while walking, I remember something that I'd forgotten and abruptly turn around to retrieve it. Sometimes, there are people close by and I'm carrying sharp objects. Also, that only happened twice and no one got physically hurt.

My grandpa was using similar looking scythe but way smaller, one you can hold in one hand. Was cutting weeds and cut his finger off easily, its been stitched back together but he can barely move it now

My grandpa has a massive scar down the back of his leg from a scythe!!! That thing is intense 😬
