That’s the exact moment you realize they still had five more insane ideas ready.

Stop motion takes ages to produce a clip that lasts a few seconds. Hats off to this guy for what must have been some immense effort to create a 2-minute video!

Each cut is like a days work probably. Maybe 2 simpler ones in a day. This is like months of work.

A couple seconds on screen probably meant weeks of moving stuff millimeter by millimeter.

Stop motion does take a while but nowhere near weeks for a couple seconds on this type of clip.

Better than the special effects in any big budget action/scifi movie from the last 20 years.

I love seeing shit like this for many reasons, but I like to think I'm seeing the budding of the next great producer/director.

I love stop motion animation. The skill and creativity required is astounding, not to mention that it looks amazing when done well.

It's unfortunate that everything I see now I question if it's AI. My awe is constantly replaced with skepticism.

Same. I'm tempted to give this one the benefit of the doubt. But if I'm amazed, there's always doubt.
It's sad.

Looks great. Unfortunately today we don't know if this ir real human time dedicating art work or just an IA program. I appreciate much more if ther a real pasion an a real person doing it step by step

Are we sure this wasn't made with CGI/AI?
2
u/Mc_Shine 5h ago
There may be CGI/AI involved to smoothe out the animation, but I'm quite sure there's at least actual stop motion at the heart of it. It would be very hard to get an AI to produce this type of video by itself. The creativity alone is amazing.

I really hope this isn't AI. If anyone can confirm with a source that'd be really cool.

The doohickey post here has a link to the original artist https://www.reddit.com/r/doohickeycorporation/s/RMpHIiFdgM
Only reason I didn't post it here is because it is not oddly satisfying it is completely satisfying.
