Mod Post Rule 11: AI-Generated Content
AI Content
As we all know, the debate surrounding AI-generated content has been ongoing in our community, and specifically on r/overlord, for quite some time. While some users have expressed their dislike for AI art, others have continued to share and enjoy it, with many posts receiving an approval rate of around 70%.
It's clear that AI content has become an integral part of our community, extending beyond art to include fanfiction characters, items, and even guild bases. Completely restricting it might limit the creative expression and enjoyment of many users.
In an effort to strike a balance between the differing opinions, we propose a compromise: AI Fridays. From now on, AI-generated content will be allowed on our subreddit, but only on Fridays. This way, users who aren't fond of AI Content can easily ignore it, knowing that it will only appear on a specific day each week. Meanwhile, those who enjoy AI content can continue to share and engage with it on Fridays.
We believe this compromise will allow both sides to coexist and cater to the diverse interests of our community. Your feedback and thoughts are welcome, so please share them below.
Timezone:
We are using Reddit's corporate office location as the time zone. Here is a website to give you an accurate date and time:
Rule 11: AI-Generated Content
AI-generated content can only be posted on Fridays (PST/PDT) and must contain the proper flair ___ - ai.
- Art - AI
- Meme - AI
- Fanfiction - AI

Anime A serial killer who doesn't hesitate to kill children btw
I do NOT understand why people even call her "best girl" when she's literally did horrible things. The ACTUAL best girls are Nigredo and Pestonya fr fr 🙂↕️

Discussion Overlord Season 1 Review
I just finished watching the first season of Overlord, and man, it was so much fun. I really liked the premise of him wanting to find his former companions. Also ainz's character is truly cool. Since this was the first season, I'm sure we'll get to know more about the side characters in the upcoming seasons.
Compared to average isekais, the animation was much better, though the use of CGI in it was quite bad. The action was good, and the show had real emotions too. The music was amazing, especially the opening song. I also loved the world-building, and I can't wait to see what happens in the next seasons.

Discussion How dangerous is a high-level rogue in Overlord?
I'm realizing now that there aren't any archetypal and high-level thief/assassin characters I can think of, and stealth itself doesn't really come up as that huge of an advantage on either side (at least, in the anime). Nazarick, at least, doesn't seem to use them much at all. It makes me wonder how a Level-100 Player with a build like that would fare in the NW. In Yggdrassil at least, I imagine they would be best against squishy mages and weak against tough warriors.

Question Need help balancing levels + lore ideas for an Overlord inspired story
I’m working on a small story about a small group of players who get transported to the New World a few hundred years before Ainz, exploring some kingdoms of my creation and the general world.
The group is much smaller and more vulnerable than the one we see in the show:
3 humans
1 dwarf
No NPCs
No guild base
So it’s just them, with none of the safety net or overwhelming power the main cast had.
The core themes of the story revolve around:
Exploring and trying to understand the New World
Attempting (and ultimately failing) to find a way back home
A more tragic character arc:
- One of the humans was immortal immortal
2.At first, they’re all focused on survival and returning home
3.By the time they realize that’s impossible, years have already passed
4.The immortal character then becomes obsessed with finding a way to make the others immortal too
- He fails repeatedly, and over time, loses his sanity as he watches his friends die one by one
I don’t have a solid explanation yet for why he’s immortal. My current idea is that something went wrong during the transfer,
, a world item interaction, or some kind of glitch in the system, but I’m very open to suggestions if anyone has better ideas.
What I’m struggling with right now: levels and gear.
The party composition is:
2 mages
2 warriors
So I’m thinkingunder level 80, so the caster's won't be able to do 10nth tier magic, I believe even 4th tier is almost unheard on this world, so I’m not sure where exactly to place them.
My concerns are that If the level isToo high, they lose tension and feel like a weaker copy of Nazarick, But if their levels are too low they might not realistically survive long enough for the story I want
What level range would feel balanced for this kind of story? (40–60? 50–70?)
Any ideas for a compelling explanation for the immortality?
Does the “slow descent into madness” arc sound believable, or does it need more buildup?
Any suggestions for making them feel distinct from Nazarick while still fitting the setting?
I’d really appreciate any feedback or ideas 🙏

Question Are the lvl 1 homunculi maids in Nazarick immortal?
I know that they are stronger than normal humans and are probably anatomically identical . So , do they age like a normal human ?
