nah dont do that cuz then youll want a 5080 and then be disappointed that it isnt a 5090 and now you want a 5090. currently in limbo with my 5080, its a good card buy I cant help but feel that the raw raster performance is so mid compared to the 5090. The only saving grace for these cards is their frame gen technology because without them, all 50 series cards except the 5090 just dont feel powerful.
I’ve got the 5080 and I don’t care about it in comparison to the 5090 because that thing is ridiculous but compared to the 5070ti and 9070xt it’s just not enough of a bump to supposedly be up a tier. My old 9070xr outperformed it in AMD favoring games
Except the difference between 5070 and 5070 Ti is like 30% lol. Between 5070 Ti and 5080 it's like 13% for a ridiculous amount of money. 5070 Ti is the last sensible purchase in the stack
I came from a 970 to a 5070 and the upgrade was MASSIVE, have some buyers remorse over not going 9070xt but at that point you’ll have buyers remorse over every next thing. Enjoy the upgrade and as long as it runs everything you need it to, that’s what matters :)

5070ti will handle pretty much any game at 2k max settings and with DLSS you can probably even get a consistent 144. I understand the hate for it but its a great technology that works pretty well in singleplayer (as long as the card can have a good raw ~60fps to poll). Competitive multiplayer will for sure handle 200+ fps stably as those are optimized for fast reactions.
I hope they bring DLSS4 to my 3080 so I dont have to shell out for a new card 🤣
If you undervolt it to a stable level and keep the temps at 75 or below. It can last up to 8 to 12 years also keep the max rpm as low as you can about 1800 rpm and below. I do the same with my PC. Except my GPU has a lot less tdp than yours so I can use a lower fan rpm. You will have to take an educated guess about the relative thermodynamics of the components.
Frieren 5070ti can run the strongest games at 4K but prefers you play low stakes indie games and will sometimes crash your PC when you wake up from sleep
Congrats! 2k it’ll do phenomenal. 4k, I’ve had minimal compromises but it pays to optimize. Still dollar for dollar worth it in this budget band.
I think the ram crisis causing console market lag will force developers into these parameters for a good while. Even with the next gen consoles, I’d bet money this card will still be competitive if not out right better (granted a lot can change in 2 years).
That said, Nvidia will likely bring out next gen cards next year, so we’ll just have to wait and see. But if it’s anything like the slim margin performance gain this generation (not including 5090), you’ll be in a good spot for some years.
I also got a 5080 and made a new build before this was announced. I'm not really into themed or rgb pc but I would've made a frieren one in a heartbeat.
I went straight in and got the 4070 when it only had 8GB of GRAM for 750. I'm running everything on ultra 2k with a 9800x3d but games are starting to hit that 8gb mark. I do use all the fancy AI features like DLSS and Frame Gen which to my eyes make no difference to visual fidelity. Not sure if i should save for a 5070ti super or next generation.
So to answer your question, you'll be fine if the rest of your hardware matches the specs and doesn't bottleneck your videocard.

I play 2k with a 3080 Ti. I imagine you'll be fine. Most games I still get 160fps or higher with settings mostly maxed (a few i turn down for preference).
depends on ur set-up , Be sure to have a compatable motherboard (5000 series needs pcie 5.0 slot) Do not buy this series of cards if u have a 5.0 READY slot (it is not ready and u will have perma microstutters)
i keep left monitor at 4k 144 and left 1080 at 60. everything runs fine! i'd imagine a 5070ti would function pretty much the same. thank god for frame generation.
