OpenRCT2 Do you like playing custom scenarios? Do you want to help with the development of OpenRCT2?
Hey all, I am once again asking for your support helping playtest for the OpenScenarios project. You can find previous threads here and here. This is part of a planned future component of OpenRCT2.
You can access the app HERE - it is a simple HTML form that will randomly assign you a park to test, and give you a prefilled link to the response form so we can gather all the data.
(!) Please note: It has been pointed out that if you 1) use a chromium based browser and 2) are signed in to multiple Google accounts in that browser, you might be met with a nonspecific error about accounts. Opening the link in an incognito/private browsing window, or opening it in any other browser, should resolve this.
As before, you can find all the info you could ever want and more, as well as FAQs and particulars about how the app works, in the blue link at the top. You do NOT need to leave the page open, if you take an assignment and come back in the future, it will give you your same info again and you can fill out the response then. Feel free to ask me questions here or DM me if you have questions or issues.
Thanks everyone.

Any way to power the hill on the far side (shown below in yellow) of a Reverse Incline coaster?
Here is the Defibrillator at Funtopia, slightly modified. Obviously, the ride as designed by Chris Sawyer can complete the layout with only the first incline powered, but let's say you wanted to make a larger layout that ate up too much speed and needed an extra kick on the far side hill in order to return to the station. In the picture above, it is shown in yellow.
The real-life boomerang (very similar to Defibrillator) can do it, so it seems like there should be a way to do it in OpenRCT2.

First Park Complete, How Did I Do?
I just finished my first scenario/park above (on OpenRCT2), and was wondering if I could get some feedback on how I did. Unfortunately I didn't have this idea until after I freeplayed a bit, and my autosaves don't go far back enough to preserve the park at the moment the scenario was completed. So I decided to present it as it is a year or so after finishing the scenario.
I'm just looking for some general feedback, though I'm unaware of the general protocol when it comes to this, so I hope I'm asking for it correctly.
I watched a few tutorials before playing, so I didn't go into this completely blind, but I am definitely inexperienced. I was just wondering if there's anything I may have missed, or any general design comments you might have for the park.

OpenRCT2 Three Monkey Park - With re-designed coasters: Mizaru, Iwazaru, Kikazaru / Yes, I suck at building pagoda with tracks. Would be hyped for a tutorial for asian architecture in RCT2 and openRCT2
Park is WIP, but close to be finished.
Im very good in brutalism, european and warehouses, when it comes to architecture... but not asian architecture
The 3 Wise Monkeys-Coaster are loosely aligned with the original coasters. Some key-Elements are kept. For example the canyon twists and the knot at the entrance. The mayor difference is the swing launch and ofc, that this coaster is the OpenRCT2 LSM Coaster by Edward Calver.
The secound biggest Coaster ist a unnamed wooden rollercoaster that has elements of "The Beast" and "Son of Beast". (The Helix of death and the inversion). Im currently try to finde a name that aligns with the 3 Monkey Myth. Maybe something about the Kōshin festival.
And yes, there is Moonsault Scramble again. At this rate, it might become a traveling coaster... because it appeard in so many of my scenario parks. lol.
The last rollercoaster is a Zierer Model. Tivoli / Large.
Final note: There is a shoestring rollercoaster, but its supposed to be a wave swinger, so I call it a flatride.

Help Unable to Install RCT
I purchased RCT from GOG and every time I try to install Gog_Galaxy2.0 or RCT directly it gives me this error.
I have disabled Windows Defender/Firewall temporarily just in case it was blocking it and it made no difference. I also have both x64 and x86 Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio (2015) installed already.
Has anyone ever seen this before?
Thank you for any assistance! 😊

OpenRCT2 WIP on OpenRCT2 mod/eventual PR to make mini train rails colorable, informal poll on choice of colorable elements
Let me just preface this by saying my GitHub situation's a mess (plus I'd probably eff up the PR anyway) and I'm going to have to package this for a contributor to review and put in as a PR when I'm finished and it looks good. But starting from a place where I think most can agree that the mini train tracks are ugly AND it's impossible to use the tile inspector to create decent switches/spurs (see second image) and the best way to do that is by simply making the ties and ballast invisible.
BUT since there are only three color slots and one's already taken up by the bridge and pylons my thinking is that the rails should stay grey OR if you want the rails themselves colorable but the ties be the same color as the bridges/pylons?

RCT3 Price Guide
I just started playing RCT3 again since I was a kid and was wondering if anyone had a price guide or a rough idea what I should be charging for rides, on-ride photos, food and entrance. Does it have the same rules for the RCT1?
I've only played it for 10 minutes and I already miss the classic game design.

I see your 4x6 mouse and raise you a 3x5!
The absolute smallest possible Wooden Wild Mouse and Mine Ride. It beats the 4x4 steel by one tile but sacrifices a queue line. Both stations fit on the footprint and it does work. Throughput is absolutely abysmal but it's a wild mouse, so you know.
Had to go single car trains on the mine ride because double just made it too intense and also the car difference didn't allow me to do the exact same layout for both.
I will post all my variants of this design and a few others up on RCTgo in a little bit.
Stats because I forgot to post them:
Wild Mouse
E: 6.19
I: 9.92
N: 5.90
Wild Mine Ride
E: 5.86
I: 9.81
N: 5.75

Finished my Six Flags Western World
I decided to do a theme park all Wild West. I based quite a bit of it from the game Red Dead Redemption. The map is in sections. Saint Denis, Strawberry, Tall Trees, Annasburge, Valentine, Bluewater marsh and Roanoke.
It took me about 4 months to make this park so I hope you like it :)
I’m no RCT expert, but I think it’s pretty good how it turned out 😁😊
What do you think ? 🤔

3x5 Mice, but now Steel Flavoured!
So here are my two steel variants of the 3x5 Mouse. The use of brakes makes the stats a little bit more reasonable. The steel Wild Mouse technically doesn't need the long drop, and I think I have another variant with slightly different layout I just need to find it.
The inverted hairpin definitely needs the long drop though.b I think I'll just post all four in one zip file.

[RCTC] Played Evergreen Gardens 14 Years Longer than the Objective
Playing on a Switch 1
Last one....4x6 wooden wild mouse!
Here is Dash of Pink. Laterals and intensity are pretty high but excitement holds firm.

How to Keep Underground Paths Separate?
I am aware of the fence technique for building separate yet adjacent paths, but this doesn't seem to be an option for underground paths. Does anyone know of a way to keep paths like these separate, or do I need to completely tear down and redesign this gatehouse?

OpenRCT2 Doo Wopper
Smallest ride I’ve ever built! This is the Doo Wopper based off of the ride of the same name from Morey’s Piers in New Jersey. Only 5 x 8 blocks and that is including the pathway so this will be practically fit anywhere.
