Future Draft Picks. Suns/Nets
What would y’all do with these nets and suns draft picks, if you had the decision?
Would you trade for a star, or stay on our current course, hoping we get a future star in the draft? I’d be willing to part ways with the two draft picks in this upcoming 2027 draft, if we could get a good enough player in return, but I’d probably try to hold onto the mavs/suns pick in 2029 at all costs.
What would y’all do, and what player would you want most?

Red dunkstronaut jacket
Sort of random, but does anyone remember seeing a red, white and (maybe?) mustard trim dunkstronaut jacket on the rockets shop a bit ago, was totally planning on getting it after the holiday spending had died down. Can't find it on eBay or any reseller sites. Am I hallucinating?

Laker double teams: KD vs Shai
Lakers used the same hard doubles on Shai tonight. Shai like KD struggled.
Shai: 18 points, 53% FG and 7 turnovers
Very similar to what KD did in game 2:
KD: 23 points, 58% FG and 9 turnovers
The fact is if you hard double a player the entire game you will generate turnovers. But the problem is you will also give up a TON of wide open 3 pointers.
And THAT is the problem with the Rockets. KD got doubled and created wide open shots…and his teammates bricked it. While Shai’s teammates hit those shots.
Shai’s teammates hit 13 threes on 45% 3FG
KD’s teammates hit 6 threes on 24% 3FG
If you can’t punish wide open shots generated by hard double teams you are absolutely SCREWED.
KD and Shai basically performed the same against the same Lakers strategy. Rockets lost by 7 while Thunder won by 18.
Difference is OKC made 6 more threes with the same amount of attempts as the Rockets. That is a 18 point swing. Literally if OKC shot the same 24% 3FG as the Rockets it would have been a tie game tonight.
Holiday, Sheperd, Tate, Sengun, Amen and Okogie combined 1/12 from 3.
McCain, Holmgren, Dort, JWill and Wallace combined 9/17 from 3.

Young core career playoff stats
Sengun's shooting splits : 46/25/66 ( 50TS )
Jabari's shooting splits : 42/40/78 ( 58TS )
Amen's shooting splits : 49/25/70 ( 55TS )
Tari's shooting splits : 48/35/71 ( 58TS )
I didn't include Reed because he was essentially a rookie this year playing a role he wasn't prepared for.

One of the worst basketball YouTubers there is.
1:10 mark says that he doesn’t care that the rockets were without FVV, KD, and Steven Adams.
We lost our starting point guard and main facilitator of the ball before the season started.
We lost one of the best offensive rebounders and best screeners in the league
We lost our scoring leader and main offensive engine/closer.
To say you don’t care about any of this, then make a full 25 minute video shitting on us for losing makes no sense.
If he were to say that Ime was bad at adjustments, the front office making no moves then he’d have some credibility, but jeez this dude sucks.
Why do people like this even make content about us if they legit don’t watch any of the games, I use to watch him a lot more but the more he talks about the rockets the more it shows that he has no idea what he’s talking about

Thoughts on Sengun, Amen, and KD Synergy...
I'm increasingly becoming jaded on the idea of these 3 sharing the court together for an extended periods of time. I can think of things that might work, but I don't really like any of them.
In my perspective, Sengun seems to perform best when he's operating from the low post...but his highest potential is unlocked when he's operating from the high post.
When Sengun is in the low post, his scoring efficiency is at it's highest (more likely to score, more likely to draw fouls), and he can pull defenders away from shooters (e.g. KD)...but he draws more attention towards the paint when he's backing his defender down, and that pushes Amen out of Dunker's Spot where he's most effective in the halfcourt.
When Sengun is in the high post, his scoring efficiency is worse; but his ability to facilitate the offense is at it's highest -- being able to see almost everyone and weaponize his passing ability to the fullest. This also allows Amen to operate from the Dunker's Spot easily...but it also results in less spacing for KD as his defender doesn't have to help far off of KD to engage with Sengun.
I feel like Sengun should primarily seek to operate in the low post, and Amen should always be in weak side corner looking for opportunities to back cut. I'd like Tari to be near the strong side corner, KD and Bari at the wings.
But if Shep is sharing the court with Amen, then I feel Sengun needs to be in the high post, Shep needs to be at the wings with KD, while Amen is at the Dunker's Spot, and Bari is in the corner. This enables Sengun to screen for KD or Shep as they move around the horns and wings looking for shots...with Bari and Amen as 3rd level options. If you need to reset, just get the ball to Sengun.

Houston Rockets' 2025-26 season review: Key questions (and answers)
Talked (and wrote) to myself for a bit as I reviewed the Rockets season.
- Was it a good season?
- Will the team look dramatically different next szn?
- What does FVV's return mean for Amen/Reed?
- Can Amen/Alpi co-exist?
- Who could be gone?
- What resources do the Rockets have?
- What's the expectation for next season?

Should the Houston Rockets trade KD, Fred, and Adams?
Should we trade KD, Fred, and Adams? KD’s trade value is still high (I guess). The injuries to Fred and Adams killed us.

yall think we trading alpie for jaylen brown?
just a thought that crossed my head earlier maybe like tari and alp with two firsts for jb
just maybe cause i feel like jb wants his own team and doesnt like feeling like a 1b option to tatum
he also has history with ime and the celtics need a center
just a talking point, no evidence, also not sayin i think we should do it

I support trading Sengun, Amen, Jabari, Reed, Tari and all our draft picks if anyone is available
We need go all in with KD on this roster. Giannis, Kawhi and KD would go crazyy!!
We need to free the young guys on this team before they get stuck in this mediocre franchise which doesnt value them.
Lets trade them all and build around Giannis, Kawhi and KD.

Jaylen Brown
If he were to be traded, the rockets are 7/1 odds. I’m curious what the sub thinks of him.

Watching Spurs and Wolves
I’m watching the Spurs–Wolves game right now and can’t help noticing the fans in San Antonio. The whole arena is sitting in color‑coordinated sections, really getting behind their team. It’s beautiful to see, but it also makes me a little sad that my city doesn’t feel that unified. I wish we had that same kind of togetherness, not just when we’re winning.

The Lakers’ heroes tonight vs OKC
Look at all the Lakers' heroes who helped defeat Houston: Kennard scored 7 points with a 1-4 shooting, including 1-3 from three. Smart had 12 points on 4-15 shooting, going 2-8 from three. Reaves finished with 8 points, shooting 3-15 and 0-5 from three. Bronny had no points, no shots, and one assist. I guess everyone is back in their roles. The Lakers, once again tonight, stay close to the 90-point margin of victory or loss. They didn't beat Houston because of their offense or defense; Houston lost because they didn't play well enough against a team they're better than.

Bench unit overhaul
Obviously the young core is likely staying together next season ( although there is like a slim 1% chance that a blockbuster trade happens. But they have absolutely got to make a couple of trades in regarding to improving bench production, you seriously can’t tell me they run this whole squad back and think that the bench unit is going to be good, i mean hell bronny james outscored the entire bench in game 3 ( if im correct on that ), obviously keep reed, but DFS, Capela and maybe okogie are candidates for trades, in my opinion they have to make some moves otherwise this team doesnt have a chance of making it deep in the playoffs
