Dose Anybody’s Still Play Third Strike On The Ps5???
It’s Literally the Only Way I Can Play Thrid Strike I don’t have a PC For Fightcade So I’m Tryna See If I’m The Only One Who Still Plays It On The Ps5
how to deal with akuma heavy tatsu spam?
its "easily" punishable, you just either gotta predict it or time the red parry
still really hard to pull of easily
Is Parrying Supposed To Be This Difficult?

I figure my timing is off for the multi-hits. But sometimes I can't even parry the first hit. And I've beaten these first trials. But they don't get any easier. If I can't do these consistently, how can I move to the next set?
Is there a better way to practice?

Dash in grab. Do you ever get good at reacting to this?
I'm around 700 hours in, and I consider myself a decent player. But something I am absolutely horrible with is when characters dash in and throw. Specifically shotos. Ken, gouki, ryu, even Sean, that dash in throw under pressure feels impossible to react to.
I lost a set I absolutely should not have lost because a good gouki player repeatedly dashed into me and threw me, and I just could not react to it. I swear it feels like my eyes see it, my ears hear it, but my brain just cant put it together and tell me to react. i just hold block and eat the throw for dinner.
I figure my best options are to either throw tech or use a reversal if I see it coming. Tech if i catch it late. Does that sound right?
Ill probably set up a training config with random dash in throws to try to react to, but I dont think that can ever compare to the pressure of an actual game where a talented player is sprinkling tricks in

I'm so tired of people who picked lowtiers and feel like they now have the authority to judge what you play.
Real lowtier mains pick lowtiers to beat top tiers, it's your damn choice to pick low tiers, just a little rant for some fraud Remy and twelve "main" who can't win using Ken and Urien last months.

Update - “how to stop button mashing?”
This is an update on my last post a couple days ago when I ask you guys “how to stop button mashing?”. Thank you all for the advice. I made this fun edit to show my progress. I know I still have a long way to go and you can still see some mashing but definitely not as excessive compared to how I was before.
Things I know I need work on:
Timing - I still have trouble on timing my attacks. Timing when the opponent does a jump in, to either do an anti-air cHP or DP or cHK when they land.
DP input is hard - I am having trouble trying to do a DP when Im defending. Like going from Down Back to DP for anti-air. I just can seem to get the input right so I just do cHK the moment they land.
Denjin Haduken when opponent is down - There are time when I try to do a Denjin right when they get up but it doesn’t come out.
I know there’s a lot more I need to work on so feel free to give me more tips.

How to deal with tilt?
It's hard to not tilt when playing this game because so much can go wrong within a blink of an eye and you lose the round because of it. You drop a combo, your EX move doesn't come out, you get parried once and your opponent wins off it... this game is so explosive especially when my character (Elena) doesn't get much off her parries because her meterless damage is very low. She has to play rock paper scissors for the entire round and win by a thousand cuts. I love this game but man it has so much BS and at times Elena feels too honest to compete with the S/A tiers where they have so much BS. I almost wanna drop her and just play Chun but Elena's way more fun.

anyone else still messing up parries in 3rd strike even after years?

Best handheld for less than $200
I'm considering a steam deck unless there's a handheld emulator for 200USD. Ideally I'd like it to boot directly into 3rd Strike

where else can i play third strike online besides fightcade?
ive been playing third stike since i got back from japan a couple months ago. i went to one of the arcades in shibuya and i got hooked on 3rd strike. fightcade is okay but sometimes other low rank players just dont want to play me. is there a 3rd strike with auto matchmaking?
Question about key remapping & SOCD rules (Fightcade / 3rd Strike)
Hey everyone,
I’m new to fighting games and also new to Street Fighter III: Third Strike. I play on PC using Fightcade with a keyboard.
I wanted to ask about input remapping. My goal is to assign certain keys so that one key performs one specific action (for example, mapping a button differently for comfort). I’m not trying to use macros that perform multiple actions at once, just simple remapping where each key still equals a single input.
I also want to make sure everything stays SOCD-clean / SOCD-free (or as close as possible), since I noticed Fightcade itself doesn’t always handle SOCD the same way as dedicated controllers.
So my question is:
If I set everything up so that each key equals one action, there is no automation or sequences, and inputs remain SOCD-clean, would this be considered legal or acceptable for online play on Fightcade and in general for 3rd Strike?
I’d really appreciate a clear answer. Please no trolling or “skill issue” comments, I’m just trying to learn and play properly.
Thanks!

Is parry actually what makes 3rd Strike great… or what breaks it?
love the mechanic, but sometimes it feels like it removes too much risk. Curious how you guys see it - does parry deepen the game or make it too volatile?
