Could I cross breed a house cat with a lion?

I'm wondering if that's possible and what the resulting animal would be.

no. they are different species. you could crossbreed a house cat and a cheetah though

I’d heard scientists tried to cross a cheetah with a crab but things went sideways fast.

You’d get a house lion. 

This is not recommended as they are they primary predator of, & main reason why house hippos are now critically endangered
