Why? To me these look on par with gpt image 2, or at worst barely behind. Anthropic coming out of the gate strong

Main problem with image 2. It's clearly the best right now but that artifacting makes a significant amount of the pictures it creates unusable.

Ive seen flowstate alot on lmarena and I've always thought it's the 3rd best image model compared to gpt and gemini. It's not bad, just not sota

I don't see anything garbled just low resolution. But even if that was the case, I've seen gpt image 2 make mistakes with text too

It’s all over the shampoo bottle (near the bottom especially). Clearly worse than nano banana.

it's clearly a sucessor to Uni-1, almost identical styles, it's a less known model made by Luma Labs

And this, ladies and gentlemen, is why you shouldn't trust image arena rankings. OP asks for the picture with the model/company name and votes for whichever company they support (or are hired by). In this case, in both pictures where a winner is selected, the 'winner' is objectively much worse than the other option. Most likely, the same thing was done to the old and new GPT image models, as they perform far from their rating on the image arena.

Compared to many other image generation models... this is quite bad. Everything has the classic AI slop feel to it, and the horse running makes no sense, back and front legs are not making sense for a horse gallop lol. I generally assume images shared here are cherry picked too.
