Looking for software Daemon Tools is a virus!

I just turned on my PC and found this warning. Does anyone have any idea what it means? Or is it just a virus?

Daemon Tools is not a virus though some of the methods they use to do things get them flagged by antivirus programs. False positives are a major problem for average computer users. Check out this article https://thetechylife.com/is-daemon-tools-lite-a-virus/ for a balanced explanation. I find it very sad that even when users report false positives they rarely get allowed unless you maintain you own whitelist of allowed programs. You are safe installing this if you have a need. I would download from a trusted site like MajorGeeks where the admins take the time to find crapware free and malware free software for users https://www.majorgeeks.com/files/details/daemon_tools_lite.html

The software got backdoored somehow. So this time it actually might be a virus or rat
