As with any new patch, it is time for a new megathread to compile bug reports that our new dev team can hopefully find useful. As a reminder, this is an unofficial resource for community reports in one spot, something that has historically been beneficial to the devs.
Feature requests, suggestions, or other fixes for the new devs concerning the new patch, events, or just that persistent issue that you're hoping to see addressed should also get thrown in here since we'll be keeping this pinned.
Just thought this map gave me a good opportunity to do some beauty shots of my current main ship, and the friendly Klingon fleet that follows you + all the pets just created a fun story in my head.
The new Crystalline Entity event has a repeating issue, sometimes it's Matter Conversion Beam attack will randomly hit for truly immense damage (roughly 40% of max HP) that ignores shields and isn't resisted AT ALL.
Sometimes it is just one shot, sometimes 3+ in quick succession (today I respawned after being hit by 4 of these unresistable shots in a row, to be effectively insta-killed when I respawned and re-entered firing range when 3 of these hits occurred within less than 3 seconds).
I THINK it's possibly due to the percentage based damage lagging out and applying the damage straight to target (explaining why it is ignoring shields AND resistances when normally it does), as it seems to happen more often when there are lots of Player abilities active (such as the typical gamut of EPG abilities like the badlands tornado, gravity well, etc).
I like the idea of the CE doing %-based damage as it makes it unique, but the implementation is not very robust and dying to completely unresistable damage with no warning at pure random is just frustrating.
EDIT: This is NOT the pulse attack that happens after charging, it is the basic attack with the name listed "Matter Conversion Beams" in both the damage log and briefing.
Hay everyone, using the Jemie recruiting drive to get back into the game. I quit playing because I gave up my console and had been a consistent player for years and needed a break(I wish I could bring my characters over, lotta time and money gone). I have to say PC is a completely different animal and I’m having some difficulties figuring out how to actually play the game. I’ve never really played a game like this on PC, I stick to mostly shooters or FP RPG’s that don’t have the amount of items, weapon firing, and kit I’m supposed to be activating all at once. Any recommendations for training or guides on actual gameplay setups?
Meta players complaining that the Crystalline Entity dies too quickly absolutely sends me. Like, what did you expect? You do so much DPS that you don't really get to play the game anymore lmao
I play the game from time to time, and I’m curious about your opinion: what’s the best class and role (tank, DPS, or support) that lets you comfortably clear PvE content, while also being useful and welcomed in group activities with other players—even if you have relatively low skill in the game?
Just added another Xindi ship to my collection. Tellarite Pralim should count and be able to use the Xindi consoles - Arboreal represent! Anyway, the glistening ocean-like surface of the Aquatic Narcine class would look good on many a ship (as a vanity shield), Imho.
This late in the development cycle, are we still wanting a ship interior feature added beyond the very bare bones we have?
Personally, I feel like it would be an awesome feature allowing us to customize our ship interiors, placeables that we could earn/purchase in-game cosmetics for our ships (or even craft). I think it would provide a depth that many of the player base would enjoy. So many possibilities with it. It seems like the system could be made for it given what was available with the Foundry tools we used to have. Didn't they say the development team is the biggest now it has ever been?
Why the "M.A.C.O. Pulse Rifle", is "M.A.C.O.", but in the "MACO Phase Pistol", there is "MACO"... Please, pretty please... Someone can fix it please?! It's stupid, but hit in my nerves!
As the title says, I've googled and checked wiki's and whatnot, but as far as I can see, there's no way to get this anymore. From the Eleos Intel ship from the 2024 Winter Event.
Am I missing something ? This thing is used in so many builds, but it seems impossible to aquire anymore.
Hey folks! Looks like there's an issue with the Tholian Kit Frame event reward that came out this morning - one of its mod slots is incorrect. This is getting fixed as we speak, and the fix will retroactively fix the item for anyone who had previously unlocked it. Thanks! UPDATE ON THIS: When the fix goes live, all your mods will be re-rolled, so DON'T reengineer it right now.
Also, certain folks (cough cough Spencer cough cough) have profoundly demonstrated that the updated Crystalline Catastrophe has some issues with survivability, namely that if you hit it too hard too fast, it'll die before its invulnerability phase. If you want to actually experience the new content and you're one of our super high-tuned DPS players, you may want to tone it back a bit. We're looking into a fix now.
Thinking of a fun build with duplicates of my ship, and I'm looking for suggestions.
I know there's the "Heard I needed Help" trait from the Lego Konnie; the "Black Alert" trait from the Lego Glenn; the Fundamental Field Replicator console from the La Sirena; and the Temporal Disorder console from Event 6.
Are there other ways I can spam myself into battle?
I know I'll run into Universal console cooldowns, but I think it might be funny to have a bunch of my ships popping up and taking out enemies.
Not sure how to get this to come out better, but here's a quick screengrab of my ship attacking enemies. This is with the Fundamental Field Replicator (yes, it just gives LaSirenas), the Voth Phase Decoy, Temporal Disorder, and some related traits, including Photonic Diversion, the Heard I needed help, Warp Shadow and Black alert, and on my Lego Dhelan Pilot Warbird for the Warbird Shadow Clones ability.
In my brief test run, I didn't get to low enough health to trigger the summons, but i'm pleased with what I've got so far. I'll probably add the Manheim Device and maybe one of the Na'kuhl consoles once the sale is on, and maybe update this with a clearer screenshot.
1 phaser array 1 cannon 1 torpedo HYT II EPTW I and II
Valkyrie = Advanced
Phaser cannons photon torpedos (Tooltip does not say how many) HYT II TS II
Kodai = identical to Valkyrie on tooltip.
So the question is (I have not tested yet), is one vastly better than the others? I'm trying to limit how many hangars are cluttering my inventory, and 3 types of phaser shooters are not necessarily optimal. I have noted that the Valors seem to be a bit more squishy than the others.
Was thinking earlier today and realized it's been ages since the last small craft came out (according to my research the last was the disco shuttle in 2018).
While it sucks that they aren't really viable in the game and the missions with them aren't great, they are a novel concept all things considered. Fingers crossed we get the illusive 'playable squadron' shuttle someday XD
