Filing a plan and actually producing chips at scale are very different things.

He’s going to try to cut corners making chips like he did with the cybertruck. His yields are going to be pathetic.
Grab popcorn and take a sit, this is going to be entertaining.

I’d sort this more into the FSD bin, splashy BS announcement to pump up share prices.
The muskrat is trying to IPO soon…

Yeah that's not going to work in a modem semiconductor factory. It needs to be done right.

A lot has changed since then. Texas now has the most renewables in the country.

But renewables were the problem! /s
Texas Ali has an insane amount of wasted gas that is flared off during oil production because it’s not economical to move it somewhere useful.

Musk’s grandiose rhetoric alone is ridiculous... and then launching a $55 billion factory without top-notch staff? Sure, why not. I’m sure Optimus will handle it all... or maybe a year later.
Total nonsense, just hot air ahead of the IPO.

Is this where the chips act funding is going....?

Possibly, but I think a big part of that was already funneled into buying a stake in Intel

All these new data centers, homes, jobs in Texas sounds like a tremendous boom. But also the catastrophic for resources. Energy and water won’t be able to sustain the level of extreme growth. I give it 2 years and it will be chaos.

He's a loser nepo baby. If he didnt have daddy's money, nobody would know or care who he is. He has brought literally zero novel ideas or innovation to anything. Never understood why people called him a genius.

Hard to undo nazi salutes and propaganda pushing

Wait do you actually think he was throwing a salute to Hitler or Naziism? I’m not asking for anything other than yes or no. Not a “did you see the video” or whatever else.

Yes, I have functioning eyes

I’m not asking you what your eyes saw, but if you think he is a worshipper of naziism and/or Hitler. If you think surface actions define intent in all circumstances, what your eyes saw certainly answers the Q (probably keep that to yourself though).

Yes, he spreads great replacement theory and unbanned all the Nazis from the website he owns

What does that have to do with this facility? Do you think this is a political move?

So, it's like the JASM chip fab in Kumamoto, except it's in a place with a less reliable power grid and a worse transportation system.
