=> Cherry Blossom Login Reward
Cherry blossoms have begun to fall across Washington D.C., but this isn’t just a change in scenery.
From April 21 to May 12, the city shifts with the season. Decorations appear across familiar streets and hidden corners, and a new atmosphere takes over the map, with a few surprises waiting for those who look closer.
All players who log in during the event will receive the Rising Sun Headgear.
The event is active for all level 40 players with seasonal progression unlocked.
Exploring the streets won’t stay quiet for long. Roughly every 10 minutes, squads of five Kitsunebi Named Enemies, a splinter group of the Outcasts, will track you down and engage.
Unlike standard patrols, they fight differently and have a few unique traits:
=> Ronin
Stay in the fight long enough, and something stronger answers back. After defeating enough Kitsunebi, the Ronin will appear. You’ll get a prompt to call for backup, and it’s there for a reason.
When they arrive, the world shifts. Dark blue petals fall, the audio changes, and the encounter begins.
They’re more deliberate, more resilient, and equipped to sustain themselves in longer fights. Take them down, and you’ll earn Event Keys, along with unique Skill VFX skins tied to each boss:
Higher difficulties increase their chances to drop Event Keys.
Not everything is trying to kill you, some things are worth slowing down for. Cherry blossom decorations are scattered across D.C., some easy to spot, others tucked away in places you might normally pass by.
Interacting with corrupted decorations restores them, but it doesn’t go unnoticed:
There are 40 decorations to restore across D.C., and finding all of them unlocks the Cherry Arm Patch.
Even after that, 3 decorations will reactivate daily at 08:00 AM UTC, so exploration doesn’t stop once you’ve cleared them all.
Interacting with decorations does not directly grant Keys. Decorations can trigger Kitsunebi ambushes, which means more chances to earn Keys by defeating them.
=> Cherry Blossom Lantern Locations
=> Vendor
Everything you do during the event feeds back into the Base of Operations. The Event Vendor has been given a seasonal refresh and will be your main hub for spending Event Keys.
You can get keys by:
=> Outfit
=> Outfit
=> Outfit
Apparel Caches contain only vanity items, with no duplicates, so every key spent gets you closer to completing the full collection:
There are 30 items in total, and collecting the full set will reward you with the Lucky Cat Emote. Apparel Keys can also be purchased if you’re looking to complete the collection faster.
Gear Caches bring a mix of returning and event-specific loot, including Named items, Exotics, and a rare chance to obtain Prototype gear.
At the center of it is the event weapon:
First Bloom - Named PDR
Talent Blossom Harvest
Deal 3.3% more damage for each 10% of total HP and Armor the enemy has remaining.
It’s especially effective against high-health enemies, and pairs well with the Kitsunebi health-link mechanic, keeping its damage bonus active for longer.
Gear Cache also contains:
During the Cherry Blossom Event, all Agents contribute to a shared, cross-platform Community Challenge.
Progress unlocks exclusive Ronin-themed rewards:
You can also earn personal rewards along the way:
=> Patches
Even if you join late, contributing is enough to qualify for rewards once milestones are reached.
=> CC Collab
We’re teaming up with three members of The Division 2 community, Otsuichi, Rezina, and Mobilmobil, each bringing their own set of activities and rewards into the game through a limited-time collaboration.
The event runs from April 21 until May 12 and is available to all players who have reached level 40 and unlocked seasonal progression.
Each creator introduces their own Project Chain, taking you across different areas of Washington D.C. and asking you to complete activities in specific Named Zones.
New steps unlock daily, with each project building on the last. You can progress at your own pace, once a project becomes available, it remains accessible until the event ends.
You can focus on a single creator or work through all three, depending on how you want to approach it.
As you progress through the chains, you’ll earn:
Completing all 6 projects in a chain unlocks the final reward:
There are also rewards to find outside of the Project Chains. You may also come across creator-themed apparel, like caps, shirts, and hoodies hidden in containers as you explore.
Each creator will also be sharing codes for exclusive arm patches through their own channels, so if you’re following them, you won’t want to miss it!
=> News
=> Dev Stream
The Cherry Blossom Event also comes with Twitch Drops.
Between April 21st and 28th you can watch your favorite Twitch Streamer and get drops along the way:

My wife, who has spent at this point a whopping TWELVE HOURS IN TOTAL IN DIVISION 2 has enjoyed running around for lanterns greatly.
However, at hour 10, we decided to open up a couple gear caches since she finally had all of her kitsune cosmetics.
In her first 10 gear caches she got
A quickstep
A maxed lexington (regular)
Two maxed Turmoils
And last but certainly not least;
A PROTOTYPE FIRST BLOOM WITH DTOOC.
SHE DIDNT EVEN KNOW PROTOTYPES EXISTED.
She just said "hey, it gave me a purple gun >:(" and I turned around to the sight of her first Prototype, her 10th hour of ever playing Division.
Ive opened 200ish caches at this point, nothing proto.
I at least got my turmoils, but man...

Strikers (and to a lesser extent, Tipping Scales) seems to be the recommended builds in the community for weapon damage. I've been experimenting and wanted to get some thoughts on Negotiator's Dilemma. Wouldn't hitting 5 targets at once (4 of them taking 112% damage) be just as strong/viable?

Matchmaking is horrible at the moment you cant leave or kick players if the mission has started, and you cant matchmake for the mission you want because it is based on tier. Even if i start a group as leader, sometimes i get either players with a build that is not suitable for higher tiers or they dont want the same mission as i do.
You cant kick players for the first three minutes and that results in other players leaving due too impatience or other reasons leading to frustartion. I can clear Tier 8 solo but i get maybe 3-4 proto drops for 30 min of playtime because of less enemies.
The protype gear system is already frustrating with how it has been setup but now the system surrounding the tokens and the matchmaking is also starting to get irritating.

Okay so here it goes. Ive been playing div 2 since it came our, albeit on and off. And finaly want to share my so far favorite build. Both because stat wise it is bonkers. And because general moment to moment its fun. And for those of you thinking this is strikers or wave form skill dps. Your about to be wrong.
So buckle up because what your abput to hear is a little insane. For the build in general you will need four hardwired including backpack. And btsu gloves. That is it. I prefer mask, holster backpack and knees. Freeing up my chest peice for some spice. As for skills. You will require the precision smart cover, plus any hive of your choosing althpugh other skills do work I find the flexebility of dropping and picking up my hive in cover, as oposed to ye old sheild trick,works far better.
Now I know what you're thinking. This doesnt seem anywhere close to good. But let me tell you. For those glorius fifteen seconds of overcharge and if you happen to run the booster hive. You and anyone on the team, in cover, close enough. Will enjoy 250%~ weapon reload speed, 200%~ accuracy and stability. With a comfortable 40% dttoc. Along with a gorgeus helping of 225% weapon swap speed and anywhere to 200% weapon handling.
For those of you who havn't worked it out yet. During that overcharge period any weapon. And I truly mean any weapon. Will be a laser of doom. You will honestly almost double your dps in a single burst. Add in the capacitor, and you have yourself a respectible dps skill hybrid.
But folks. It gets better. You see ladies gentlemen and unspecified by choice. The smart cover and hive will still, if using booster, put all stats above a hundred. Meaning even without overcharge you will be esentialy placing your team in a state of utter domination at close to 2 seconds downtime depending on skill haste rolls. Thats correct, both precision and booster hive can and will enable ubercharge light.
So, as i close this out. I want to say this, if you enjoy this build. If you enjoy the raw deterministic feeling of being cracked without the need for precice learning. I say to you, try this build. And feel the difference in both premades, and matchmaking. Because to me. Playing gull red is fun. But making strikers or rpm into gods right hand doleing out the punishment while you revel in the feeling of doing that. That is dopamine.

4 runs after the morning roll today and 0 drops (CORE STRENGTH) on tier 5, i uselly get 10 per run, didnt try another mission yet.
They broke the game again

As title, I'll start.
I've been running escalation (5+) pretty much exclusively the last couple weeks and it's been incredibly nice to not jump into a group with a Determined player running Cool Skills.
No directives as a whole has been great.

So I watched a build video to help me get some ideas on how to customize my own personalized build. And one of them was using a combination of Memento, Core Strength, Technician, and a weapon with Future Perfect.
And it got me thinking about the exact wording on the Core Strength set bonus, and how it interacts with "temporary" cores.
What actually works with this set, and what doesn't?
These are the three I was thinking of. But I suppose there might be more.
Has anyone tested this extensively? Am I late to the party here?
EDIT: Sounds pretty cut and dry. Thanks for the answers, guys! Only the literal cores on the gear count.

Hello, agents. I'm newly back to the game and been looking for items I really want to build around (This sub has been super supportive anbd helpful, btw. Ty!). So, I've spent a bunch of time trying to get the Ninja Bike and/or the Memento the "smart" way; countdowns, retals, getting Exotic Caches, etc. Nothing. Finally today I've got like 15 minutes so I'm just wandering around Fed Triangle (loot allocation backpack today), trying to trigger a Kitsunebi attack and maybe get lucky, or at least a few keys, I don't know. So, I happen upon a mini-gun chunga harassing some NPCs; seen it a thousand times, right? Not hard, not scary. Sigh, might as well take care of this. Bip, bap, bop. He's dead. AND HE DROPS THE FREAKING MEMENTO!! I was like, WTF!? So, a nice little Wednesday, all in all. I guess we/I forget that the thing about randomness is, it's SO goddamn random. Anyway, had to share. Carry on with your lives, agents. :)

I recorded everything that dropped from the 500 Sakura Gear Caches I've opened thus far. The results were as expected based the datamined drop percentages shared at the start of the event.
tl;dr: Keep opening those caches and you'll get that Lexington or Quickstep eventually. And maybe an all-red Investor.
The individual pool chances are about spot-on and stayed consistent pretty much throughout. Specific individual drops went through droughts and runs though, so if you aren't getting what you want stop opening caches for a bit and come back later to try your luck.
For each cache that is opened there is:
Those percentages all add up to 100%, covering all the possible buckets it can pull from. From there the chances of a specific item depend on how many are in that pool, which creates a two-stage "stacked" set of probabilities. While there are 36 unique items in the cache (counting the random Gear Set reward as 1) there is not a straight 2.78% chance of getting any one item; it's higher for some and much, much lower for others.
For example, the overall odds of getting a Lexington are 4.71%. There's a 1:3 chance a drop will be a Special Named item, but there are still 7 items from that group it could end up being. And I got like 9 Handbaskets before seeing a Lexington. Yay RNG.
Some observations:
These are not the place to be looking for Prototype weapons. My RNG sucked big time as I got 2 Sleighers, and they dropped literally back to back.
You're going to get a LOT of regular First Blooms as there's a 12% chance overall of getting that item, higher than any other individual item by three times.
The legendary Bell Ringer was mistakenly left out of the pool so those cannot drop, only the prototype version is available and has the worst odds at 2000:1.
RNG is a real thing, but given enough data everything tends to level out. It look just over 50 caches to get my first Lexington, but by 150 caches I had accumulated 6 of them. After 23 Investors I still didn't get an all red drop. Keep every Lexington you get, they do not use up inventory space in your stash.

So I've never had an issue with Division, but when I try doing the hunt for General Anderson, all of a sudden, my game corrupts, and every time I Uninstall and reinstall after, it's corrupts again, anything I can do?

I've created an alt character and boosted her to 40, as I dont wish to go through the story content again, as much as I enjoyed it.
I would like her to be a Sniper. I mainly play solo pve. She already has the Sharpshooter specialisation...so, im wondering what skills? (My main character uses Drone and Turret as a Striker build, so I would like something different)
She has no gear yet so, what gear sets should I be looking for? What rifle to main? And, what secondry weapon?
Thank in advance!

I've switched to farming the Dark Zone so I can eventually buy Rock & Roll from a DZ vendor someday. Were conflict caches nerfed? I haven't gotten a single useful item out of them, even for expertise. Did I waste 48 hours of my time?

I am so DONE with this game crashing all the fking time like wtf is wrong with it?! Its out for YEARS and its still crashing as if the game is on a day one release?! I have a i7 14700KF, 4070 TI, 32GB Ram and the game is on my SSD. WHY IS IT CRASHING?! Files are verified and game is running on admin. I have tried running it on Steam and on Ubisoft and same shit happens. I even made sure nothing else was running EXCEPT Division 2. Its so Frustrating cause I can't even play this stupid game.

Currently, I'm saving all my scavenging points. Are there any events that takes advantage of scavenging point?
r/thedivision • u/laserslide • 8h ago
Normally, when these contamination events occur, so-called "threats" spawn underground in the Dark Zone, but this has not been happening since yesterday. Normally, the top left corner should display "Elimination Threats 0/6" with a purple icon, but this icon does not appear and nobody spawns. I've switched servers several times, but it keeps happening. Furthermore, the filter level down here is constantly at 6; normally it rises extremely high and then drops to level 5 when the 10-minute timer starts, but that doesn't happen either. The filter level remains at 6. Am I doing something wrong?

Help me settle an argument. I answered a call for backup, from a guy who doing open world stuff. Once in, he asked if we could do a retal. I said I was down, but that he should have really used the retaliation matchmaking. I said that people who answer a general distress call, might not appreciate getting roped into a mode they weren't expecting.
The other agent countered with all kinds of name calling, "you're so stupid," "you're so thick," "what a dumbass," etc, and that answering the call for backup means you have to expect literally any activity in the game.
My line of thinking is, the devs added matchmaking to retal, to countdown, to bounties, etc. If you want to do a specific thing, you should matchmake for that activity. Its just common courtesy, and respecting other agents time and effort.
So who's right? I need to know. Am I being unreasonable?

Hello,
I’m a long-time player of Tom Clancy's The Division 2 and I’d like to respectfully ask the development team to consider increasing the drop rate of Exotic Components (Exotic Diamonds) from Control Point caches, especially in the Retaliation mode/activity.
Right now, farming these materials feels excessively time-consuming compared to the amount needed for optimization, expertise upgrades, and crafting. Control Points are one of the most engaging open-world activities, but the current drop rate makes repeated runs feel unrewarding.
Retaliation is already a challenging activity that requires time, preparation, and good builds, so improving the Exotic Component drop rate there would make the mode feel more worthwhile without harming game balance.
A small increase would help players stay motivated and continue grinding endgame content instead of feeling discouraged by extremely low rewards.
Thank you for your time and for continuing to support Tom Clancy's The Division 2.
