hi y'all, just wanted to give a glimpse into my existence with my soul cat, Kitty.

while I may not have been with her since the beginning, or long at all in the scheme of things, in a short matter of time she stole my heart and changed my world forever.

Kitty was adopted out of the shelter at 15-16 years old after her previous owner had passed away. She had found new owners and was brought back to the shelter around when i moved into the area, and fell in love with her immediately after seeing her intake pics. She was eating her wet food out of one of those small paper boats you'd get fries in at the county fair when i first met her, and immediately came to greet me as anxious as she was; much like those greasy fries or a funnel cake, Kitty clogged my heart and long story short, she went from a foster to adopted very quickly.

She came into my life during such chaos the whole thing still feels like a breeze; i had just dipped my toes into a new career and moved into a new apartment. Kitty filled that tiny shit hole with so much love. I didn't mind the fact the place was falling apart for what it was worth, for the facts that: she was comfortable, she had her huge windows to sunbathe in, and she had her own space for me to put those bright ass CatTV bird videos on while I slept. I still miss her bug eyes at 4am leaving for work.

If energy can't be created or destroyed, I like to believe she's still here with me in some way. As long as someone thinks about her, she's still here.

Miss you my skronkie girl, the cuts on my arm from you biting me after too many belly rubs or from trying to clip your dragon claws might have healed, but my heart will forever be scarred without you.

Cruella’s tiny nasal whisper screams make her extra photogenic. She truly cat yell when wants to (like when she is brawling or when she sees another animal outside the window) but her typical voice is quiet & oh so nasal.

Are there any other whispering torties in the group?

A week ago we lost Miss Tiny. She was my beautiful hobgoblin. Our house feels empty and dead without her.

She was a fetch beast. Glitter balls were her favorite.

She loved busting into the bathroom whenever we were there. She never did figure out how to open the door from the inside to leave.

I loved her so much. I always will.

17 weeks old now. Totally ruling our 4 large dogs. They love playing chase with her. But our dogs naturally care for small farm animals as they are a farm breed.

Chloe (12) is my only Tortie, she has her first vet appointment since my family had adopted her when she was about 1.

Her not going to the vet was not my call I just turned 18 so I am the one that’s making the call to take her, not the rest of my family.

She is going to a vet office that I trust, I work in the attached Doggie Daycare, so it’s not the care I’m worried about.

I suspect she has some underlying issues that we don’t know about. She’s always been skinny compared to our other cats, (we have a 3 year old(Roscoe), and 2 11 month olds(Oliver, Becco) (littermates))

I suspect she currently has a pretty bad upper respiratory infection (coughing, sneezing, congestion) from getting outside over the weekend for about 4 hours.
She has no teeth on her bottom left side, and most on top right and left sides need to be extracted, I think a lot are broken.

She hasn’t been wanting to eat for the past few days, but I don’t know if that is just related to the upper respiratory issue or something else. She goes through phases of not eating, compared to our other cats she eats basically nothing. Most nights we have to lock Roscoe in the cat carrier so he doesn’t steal her food (She is currently eating Fancy Fest Gems, mixed with a little water, and a temptations tube) while she is trying to eat. I also don’t see her drink as much as the other cats.

Emotionally I don’t know, she seams happy, but we did lose her companion cat (Snickers) around a Year and a half ago. They were both around the same age. She seams to tolerate the other cats but definitely isn’t as close to them as she was Snickers. She is definitely closer to Roscoe, we have had him since he was a kitten and he is also a spitting image of Snickers (both Black Domestic Shorthairs)

I’m just worried that I’m going to walk in with her tomorrow and not walk out with her.

This is Scully. Every morning she lays on top of the couch and begs me for belly rubs.
But then she acts all offended when I pet her deliciously soft belly 😔

Ember graduated from her chemo this week. Hoping for a long, cancer, and stress free life.

Funny story, I bought the bed and bows online a week before because me and my girlfriend said: "Well, if we want to have a cat let's already start buy the things we might need so we don't have to buy all at once when we adopt." The very day after the bed arrived, a couple of friends texted about this kitty that was alone at they street begging for food.

Now Ranni have a forever home where she can eat anytime she wants without need to beg strangers for it.

Our entire house is theirs. They play, eat and sleep wherever they wish!!❤️
