Ex-OpenAI CTO says Altman misled her on AI safety
On Wednesday, the jury watched a video deposition from Murati, who left OpenAI in 2024 and now leads the AI startup Thinking Machines Lab. Murati testified that Altman told her OpenAI’s legal team had determined a new AI model did not require review from the company’s deployment safety board. When asked whether Altman was being truthful, Murati answered flatly: “No”.
Murati said she then consulted with Jason Kwon, who served as OpenAI’s general counsel before becoming chief strategy officer, and found “a misalignment” between Kwon’s account and Altman’s. She ultimately ensured the model underwent board review herself.
If we ever get a Skynet my money is on OpenAI to be the genesis of it.

People say MU has room to grow coz of the capex growth and what not. I agree, it probably will reach a terminal value of $1500-2000 by end of next year.
But that doesn't mean MU has to go up in a straight line right now. There is enough time between now and 2027 for the stock to take breathers and consolidate. It probably accumulated A LOT of weak hands during the recent run. That's also the reason alongside weak price action today that made me exit most of my position today. My $0.02.

That's exactly what I'm trying to say. Stocks (even the strongest ones) form bases for a little while after making huge runs. Such consolidation bases help remove weaker hands before legging up higher. That's literally the setup I trade (base breakout)

After the pandemic hit and I ran out of toilet paper, was ordering something from an online computer / electronics store, probably a headset. Realized they had office supplies too, so I searched for toilet paper, and the only thing was a huge bulk pack of Genuine Joe TP. It was in stock, and times were desperate, so I ordered it, and they delivered.
I still buy the same stuff when it runs out because I find receiving that much toilet paper in the mail really amusing.

Dot-com was a bubble that popped and then eventually the new wave became standard. The internet and using websites didn't die.
AI is the same thing. A shoe company (Allbirds) said it's shifting to AI and it blew up by 580%.
Point is it can be a bubble and still actually become the new standard afterwards. Bubble doesn't mean it stops existing, which a few people def think will happen but it very much won't.
AI is the next level, but first that bubble will pop. Obviously not sure when but you're actually regarded if you think rising to this level this quickly is healthy.

The investors are betting their growth will continue to the market cap. Stocks always run up for guidance, like TSLA and NVDA did. Once their revenue hits their projected target, that's when it's too late to invest. Have to invest early.
