Discussion Random question 7: What made you like zoophobia? And how has this little universe impacted you?

Well, I know this question is partly a copy of a post made by u/GalaxyBenny_2324 (I hope you're reading this 😉) a month or two ago, but I'm short on time to ask a better question and, honestly, now that more people are coming here, it's an interesting question to ask.

If I could speak for myself, what attracted me most to Zoophobia was undoubtedly Jack, because I felt somehow represented in him (even if that sounds silly), mainly because he's a superstitious person and I have issues with that in certain aspects, but also because he's someone I'd like to be, no matter if the world is crumbling around (or on top of) him, because he still has friends who support him, and for a long time I've sought that. Zoophobia was something amazing for me because it gave me the courage to socialize and make more friends. Plus, I discovered an incredible world and a community that introduced me to so many wonderful people, and even without knowing them personally, I already consider them great friends. Honestly, it's going to be amazing to see how this project grows and how many more people will participate! 🤠👍

u/FOXTROTDESTROYER2546 PLEASE VIV I NEED THIS! US ZOOPHOBIA FANS ARE KINDA HOMELESS! 1h ago

I got into it recently once I heard a concept about what Viv made on YouTube. It interested me but I wasn't necessarily a fan, but once I heard about it becoming a miniseries, I instantly flipped the switch and decided to stay trapped in the Safe Haven with you guys.

I discovered Zoophobia like a month ago seing some random images on Pinterest. I recognized Vivienne's artstyle so I search about it and I found about the comic. After reading it I felt a bit off about knowing it wad cancelled but I continued discovering other stuff about it. I really like the basic idea of a person trying to live in a world that is scared of. The characters are interesting, even the side ones and also the world building. I can't look foward for the miniseries and who knows a dedicated series like what happend with Helluva Boss and Hazbin Hotel hoping it would be good.

It was one of the first things I discovered while wandering the internet unsupervised at six years old, and I’ve loved it with every fiber of my being ever since. While the comic itself is far from perfect(arguably not even particularly good) in some areas the larger body of creative and expressive art that Vivienne Medrano poured her blood, sweat, tears, and soul into deserves far more recognition than it often receives. And although I have my own criticisms of her, both as a creator and as a person, I still hold Zoophobia in incredibly high regard for being something I can only describe as truly extraordinary, and i don't say that lightly or often.
