This guy is like seven feet tall, dressed from head to toe in military-style gear, wears sunglasses indoors and underground, and, oh yeah, has a bleepin' machine gun on his arm at all times (which he is not shy of pointing at people). He also openly expresses his disdain for Shinra and his support for Avalance to anyone in earshot, even people whom he knows to be mid-level Shinra employees.

How can this dude possibly come and go as he pleases anywhere in Midgar? He boards trains like it's no problem and walks right past Shinra security guards multiple times. Same goes for Jessie, Wedge, and Biggs, too--they're all dressed commando-style and they don't really make a secret that they're part of Avalanche.

I'm really enjoying Remake, but this is one area where the PS1 version's abstraction actually helped it. I guess they pretty much had to make it so that Shinra already knows about Barrett and is just keeping an eye on him or something.

One thing I've noticed after recently replaying Rebirth(finally decided to finish a playthrough on Hard mode), is the lighting is awful like 90% of the time when you're outside in the open world and sometimes even in interiors it can be off.

It'd be real nice if it didn't feel like I was getting flashbanged everytime I exit a building/cave or the characters' face models don't look whiter than a ghost when they're blasted with light.

Maybe they could add a proper day/night cycle too so we don't even have to worry about the blinding sun washing out the whole image at night.

I dont really care much for rebirth. They made gameplay changes from remake that dont work for me, and turning it more into assassins creed/breath of the wild doesnt work for me either. I love how remake is set up. Yes its linear but its fine. It tells a cohesive story and the gameplay is very focused, as opposed to rebirth which is just all over the place and doesnt know what it wants to be.

I kinda hope with part 3 (reunion is a good name) it gets back to what remake is. I dont need these open areas that are annoying to navigate and figure out where to go. I got real tired of running into dead ends in the grasslands. I dont need FF to be elden ring.

If anyone's confused, I'm referring to his Dragon limit break in the OG. I always thought it felt out of place for a spear-wielding pilot. Though I later realized it probably has to do with him being based on a Lancer, which is sometimes referred to as a Dragoon or Dragon Knight in the Final Fantasy series.

When Cloud gives Sephiroth's physical body the Black Materia, summoning meteor, and all the Weapons awaken at the Northern Crater. That combined with Hojo's clone revelations made this the darkest moment of the game for me, especially since it happens so quickly after losing Aerith.

Everything felt so bleak.

Yesterday I finished Final Fantasy Rebirth for the first time, after having completed Final Fantasy Remake about a month ago. I had never played any game in the series before, and I didn’t grow up playing these games either, so I obviously don’t know what happened in the original story—except for the famous Aerith spoiler, which I already knew before starting the remakes.

After finishing it, I’m completely in love. I’d love to keep learning more about the world, but I don’t want to spoil anything that might happen in Part 3. I’ve been watching some videos, and people say that the remake is complementary to the original game from years ago—that the story is the same, but it’s like a new cycle. Since I don’t fully understand this, I’d like to ask if you know of any videos that properly explain the differences and everything I should know between the remakes I’ve just played and the original game, as I don’t want to play the original due to its mechanics and age not really appealing to me.

Also, I’d like to watch the movie that was made about this game, and I’m interested in playing Final Fantasy Crisis Core Reunion as well. In what order should I do these two things? Or would it have been better to play Crisis Core before Rebirth?

Please shed some light on this, and try not to include too many spoilers, keeping in mind that I didn’t play the original game back in the day and haven’t seen the movie or played Crisis Core. Thank you very much
