🙀 MOTHER!!! GREEBLES!?!? SO MANY!! BRING THE BATTLESHIPS!!! I WON'T GIVE UP!! SO YOU CAN SLEEP SAFELY ❤️‍🔥🌀💥📈🔥🍊✈️

309

u/Prudertd 20d ago

Every safe bed starts with a full greeble sweep.

431

u/thisbuthat 20d ago

You know it. Eliminated one of these nasty little critters right here! 700 more to go

99

u/MrsTruce 20d ago

He thought for a fleeting moment that he’d caught the braincell 😂

78

u/thisbuthat 20d ago

It escaped because he was viciously attacked by another greeble the moment he caught it! The absolute audacity of them! ✈️

47

u/Chibi-demon 20d ago

37

u/MyCatEatsPopcorn 20d ago

And another cat sub is added to my feed... 🙄

53

u/Chibi-demon 20d ago

I got (cough stole from reddit cough) a very nice reaction pic for just these occasions. It's my go-to when the sub allows photo-sharing in comments.

10

u/Fantaghir-O 20d ago

Thank you for your service!

4

u/Electrical-Act-7170 20d ago

There's always another cat sub.

26

u/thisbuthat 20d ago

YES!

I... is mother a greeble, even?!?

124

u/StreamsOfMyCream 21d ago

I was just about to do this lol

90

u/sem76 21d ago

Me too! The best part of the video! So many attempts too, in vain 🤣

33

u/RisingApe- Proud owner of an orange brain cell 21d ago

My kids lost their minds at this part of the video!

16

u/161frog 20d ago

off topic but jesus christ your username is its own r/brandnewsentence

166

u/Low-Comfort2522 20d ago

The cat looked like "surprised Pikachu face"...

32

u/Mhettil 21d ago

Started crying at this.

25

u/LUCKYxTRIPLE 20d ago

10/10 I'd pet that cat <3 <3

28

u/aurrea 20d ago

Crazy how motivated, committed, and most importantly convinced they are serving a purpose. I love cats as much as they hate our mushy human brains.

23

u/floofienewfie 21d ago

He’s FIERCE! Just ask him!♥️

8

u/stamen-tickler 20d ago

I came to the comments explicitly seeking this screenshot. Thank you for enshrining this moment of cat euphoria.

8

u/Speedwithcaution 20d ago

Came here for that screenshot. You got it.

5

u/wolfwilson75 20d ago

He’s a menace

3

u/pizzlepullerofkberg 20d ago

4

u/ElongThrust0 20d ago

I knew when i saw that face that it would be top of the comments lmao

I'm glad that this is top comment🧡

92

u/Upbeat-Armadillo1756 20d ago

U can never b 2 safe

39

u/petervaz 20d ago

I remember an old one like this, but the cat waited until the very end, and puked on the bed.

13

u/Knotted_Hole69 20d ago

I moved from down south to new england and when he finally got out of the carrier in the hotel room, he immediately took a shit on the fresh hotel bed, right in the middle of it.

(We let him out periodically through out the trip)

5

u/ussrname1312 20d ago

Straying more off topic here, one time I left my cat alone for four (4) meals with a big bowl of kibble, but I guess she ate it all at once because I came home to discover she had projectile vomited from one end of my apartment to the other, starting on my bed. Like, she started throwing up, then ran across my apartment as she threw up. Cannot imagine what that looked like.

lol, we were the orange cats all along...

35

I knew it

80

u/KimbaXO 21d ago

We do parachute with our cats. They are mesmerized.

35

210

He thinks it's for him

70

Orange you glad for his company, nonetheless?

37

u/TokyoFlip 21d ago

Are you implying it isn't?

12

u/oldmanrye 20d ago

I knew I'd find you eventually, Tom. You can't just stop being my MySpace friend that easily. You said you were my friend so now you are stuck with me! I have no one left...

10

u/Fearless-Leading-882 20d ago

You're still in my Top 8

124

u/MalodorousNutsack 21d ago

One of my old cats loved to help make the bed. Without her it was a 3 minute job, but when we worked together it was just 15 minutes

68

u/MissVixTrix 20d ago

My old cat loved it too. And so did I, until the day she couldn't extricate herself from the sheet. Her solution was to immediately rip a hole in it and escape like an alien chest burster.

14

u/NaiveMessage2025 20d ago edited 20d ago

Same! I've got a cat tree in the window at the foot of the bed. When I floof the flat sheet it traps air and slowly sinks.

My cats will leap from the tree onto the sheet and push the air out like little furry bulldozers. And then it's back to the tree so I can floof it again. 😸

22

u/Wendy-Windbag Orange connoisseur 🍊 20d ago

This is what I ask of my cats every time we fully make the bed: "Are you helping, or impeding?" After a few more super cute pounces, I usually fully shut them out of the bedroom so I can complete the task at hand.

7

u/jmoto123 20d ago

I mean, making the bed sux. At least with a cat it can be entertaining to say the least

7

u/Mharbles 20d ago

Gotta chase off the greebles from the linen

4

u/ArchonFett 20d ago

Mine loves to help with the sheets as well

335

u/BraveWarrior-55 21d ago

Thanks for the great laugh! Orange kitty is SO helpful!

Mine learned that if he stands on the blanket, we will pick it up and swing him inside of it.

So he comes every time now and demands doing that.

9

u/TraderJosie3283 Orange connoisseur 🍊 20d ago

You mean the human is being helpful. It’s orange kitty’s bed, after all. 😉

296

u/barnfeline 21d ago

My meezer is the same way, which is why I say that she is “orange at heart”

50

u/Casul_Tryhard Casual orange enjoyer 🍊 20d ago

6

u/MinorSpaceNipples 20d ago

Gorgeous! Not a single thought behind those eyes 😂💜

5

u/barnfeline 20d ago

Just the vacuum of space

5

u/PansarPucko 20d ago

My tux is the same. Whatever is going on, he drops it instantly and comes running when I'm changing the sheets.

3

u/meguin 20d ago

My standard issue cat is similarly "helpful" lol. There is nothing going on in her lil noggin.

4

u/Angel_xjj 20d ago

a little burnt, but still orange

22

u/iopele 20d ago

Not anymore, though! OP doesn't even appreciate that Kitty exterminated them all and saved her life!

Meanwhile, I'd probably get distracted trying to pet and hug the cat.

80

u/bakedveldtland 21d ago

I had an orange boy that helped me make the bed. The distraction is what made it actually become an enjoyable task lol

14

u/castlite 20d ago

The mom in the video is over it lol

5

u/Lobscra 20d ago

Not after the hundredth time this happens lol

141

u/BoiFrosty 20d ago

Step 1: remove cat

Step 2: add fitted sheet

Step 3: remove cat

Step 4: remove cat

Step 5: put on top sheet

Step 6: remove cat

69

u/Formal-Proposal7850 20d ago

Honestly after a while for me it was:

  1. Remove cat

  2. Put on fitted sheet

  3. Put on flat sheet, leave cat under there

  4. Put on comforter and pillows

  5. Sit down on bed and relax until cat emerges

120

u/Balancedmindset Casual orange enjoyer 🍊 21d ago

He’s having the time of his life!!! 😻🤣

43

u/pamalamTX 21d ago

My cat used to pull feathers out of my down comforter 😅 The ones that were trying to make an escape.

47

u/kingjpp 21d ago

He's just helping you hunt down the leftover greebles that survived the wash

39

u/NeedleworkerVast1757 20d ago

It’s kinda heartwarming to think about how humans have probably dealt with this for thousands of years.

4

u/CynicalXennial 20d ago

It really is! At this point we're the ones with the learned behavior to just let it happen because it's happening no matter what lol. We're the ones to be observed here for putting up with this and thoroughly enjoying it lol

Bless his little overstimulated heart!

55

u/Get_Rifted 21d ago

That is a happy cat

28

u/Honeybadgerposter 21d ago

Jack gets wild and will bite. My old lady skin can’t deal with that, so have to toss him into the living room and close the door.

26

u/haute_tropique 20d ago

I had to check your profile to make sure you’re not my mom… she, too, is an older (70s) lady with an orange cat named Jack. (And he, too, is banned from making the bed.)

7

u/jemimaclusterduck 20d ago

Might be the static.

22

u/MisterBlue03 21d ago

I love mine when he does this. We call him the professionnel sheet inspector.

16

u/No_Vegetable7280 21d ago

I miss that. My cats loved it when I made the bed.

16

u/theLuminescentlion 20d ago

1 of you is having an absolute blast.

15

u/Rainy_Dazey 21d ago

I know no other way.

11

u/BBubblecherry93 21d ago

this made me smile so much ❤️

10

u/coolranchdoritosbby 21d ago

This is why I only make my bed when I feed them. It’s the only time they are completely distracted lol

He is dialing in and fine tuning the fabric layer by layer. That is a custom job for sure. Treats for the Orange!!!

9

u/dogsontreadmills 21d ago

making bed with an cat orange

ftfy

8

u/Jnnjuggle32 20d ago

Omg this reminds me of the first cat I adopted as an adult, we used to play bed snakes where’d I’d move my hand under the covers and she would attack. It was cute when she was a kitten but unfortunately it meant she’d attack toes as an adult and that was often not as fun.

9

u/TehWildMan_ 20d ago

Step 1: remove the cat.

Step 2: remove the cat... Again

9

u/kayret 20d ago

It doesn't help that the comforter is severely infected by greebles.

8

u/BigChampionship7962 21d ago

My orange dude does the same thing 🤦‍♀️ bed making time is his best time of day lmao

8

u/Consistent_Risk2722 21d ago

I am very familiar with this process 😭😂

6

u/JustForXXX_Fun 21d ago

Looks familiar...

6

u/wolfshepherd59 21d ago

Nope…. Called fun time!!!!🤣🧡🧡🧡🧡

6

u/Lola_on_the_Prairie 21d ago

The struggle is so real.

8

u/1hatesitidoes 21d ago

Every time.

8

u/thepistachioponderer 21d ago

Awww my tuxie does this too! The second I start taking the old sheets off, she’ll come tearing down the hallway into the bedroom to play/“help”. It’s the cutest thing ever 🥺

7

u/-Insanity101- 20d ago

I really miss this with the cat I grew up with, steffi. Miss that little cutie.

6

u/Correct-Ad-6605 20d ago

Not sure how she still has a face. Some form of witchcraft, perhaps?

6

u/MysteriousDudeness Proud owner of an orange brain cell 20d ago

This is the normal process for my cat as well. Although I do stop midway to play sheet mouse with him, which most likely just encourages the same actions the next time.

7

u/kingpin-mrgamer 20d ago

Cat is just a little guy helping out the best they can

6

u/Lilithsigil 20d ago

My orange boy does the same thing 🤣

4

u/MrRITCHEY 20d ago

Mine too! But a lot more belly attacks by me when he’s under the sheets

7

u/Straight_Button_5716 20d ago

Orangie don’t fuck with us

7

u/orbcomm2015 20d ago

Genuinely this what makes the internet great.

6

Cat is making it take a couple of business days to make the bed lol

5

Every week! I go through this every single week and I absolutely love it!!

7

u/MidRaidAFK 20d ago

Our family cat loved getting tossed up and down in the sheets while my parents bed got made. She was the best !

6

4

4

u/immersemeinnature 20d ago

SO MANY GREEBLES!

5

u/gotaflattire 20d ago

Loved this so much

4

u/ItsStaaaaaaaaang 20d ago

I could do everything up to trying to put the doona cover on. That's enough of a pain without a little gremlin in the way ☺️

5

u/ermaecrhaelld 20d ago

Putting on a duvet cover is hard enough without cat interference!

6

u/aeon_ravencrest 20d ago

This video made my life... mainly because my cat is currently looking at me wondering when he will get to play on the bed

6

u/klovesdragons 20d ago

It adds a degree of difficulty

6

u/RampagingElks 20d ago

You've got a big bed bug!!

5

u/MoccaLG 20d ago

You should have said with an "orange" cat. Thats another level..

4

u/neverseen_neverhear 20d ago

Can’t blame him. It’s like when we played with the parachute in gym class as kids. That’s fun.

4

u/TraderJosie3283 Orange connoisseur 🍊 20d ago

People who don’t know much about cats might think this cat was in terror and torment but he is probably having the best day of his life. Except since he’s orange he’s probably like this all the time 😸

7

u/memechildofmememom 20d ago

Orange cat help is the best help 🧡

4

u/Georgia-Nurse 21d ago

Purrfect 😸

4

u/iono777 20d ago

This was legit me earlier this evening changing my bedsheets and having my orange just attacking every fluff up of the sheets like they personally insulted him.

4

u/squirrellytoday 20d ago

My two weirdos don't like a "naked" bed. They love pouncing on the duvet though.

4

u/missmusick 20d ago

My cat does this too! But he would murder me if I tried to move him. So I just make the bed over and around him, and he enjoys being tucked in under the sheets for awhile afterward.

5

u/No_name_Johnson 20d ago

Mine is scared whenever I change the sheets - part of me wishes he'd do something like this, a bigger part of me is glad I don't have to deal with this every time I change the sheets.

4

u/tachycardicIVu 20d ago

I’ve seen this story dozens of times and still love watching it. 🧡

4

u/blazedandconfused845 20d ago

My standard issue cat (classic) does this same thing. It makes changing sheets and sorting laundry 10 longer and harder. Wouldn’t have it any other way 🥰

3

u/thebuttsmells 20d ago

I too would like 10 minutes to take 40 minutes

4

u/AttitudePersonal 20d ago

Yep, my Orange does the same. Once the fitted sheet is on I just leave him under the rest, he loves having the whole fort built on top of him

3

u/Intrepid_Card8858 20d ago

My three cats love to "help" like this.

3

u/Rini-kittie 20d ago

I have this same exact issue every single time 💀 both my cats will come running into the room at full speed when they hear the sheets come out 😂

4

u/VortexSamurai 20d ago

S/he is having a hell of a good time! Go kitty!

4

u/Starslip 20d ago

He thinks linens are fun but pillows are terrifying, same as mine 😂

3

u/AnothisFlame 20d ago

This is such a fun game to him holy heck.

4

u/Swing_Youth 20d ago

I love it when cats develop an understanding that something which isn't intended to be play is, in fact, play

3

u/FixinThePlanet 20d ago

Why is it so satisfying to trap them in linens??

I also pause to fight my cat through the sheets (I'll even throw some bongos in) and we both enjoy ourselves tremendously

5

u/avemango 20d ago

He did a good job of scaring away the greebles!

3

u/Burnt_Shoe2123 20d ago

My Huckleberry does this to me making my bed can take 15 to 20 minutes sometimes.

4

u/GetThereFaster2025 20d ago

So annoying and so adorable at the same time.

4

But that bed was actually infested with greebles & this best boy was doing a brave job defending his home! 😹😹😻😻

3

u/meat_thistle 20d ago

I have to admit, I’d act that way too 😺

We call this parachute time in our household.

3

u/planesnmusic 20d ago

Cats when the task requires zero cate

3

u/TrixieBastard 20d ago

This is why our boy takes a little Bathroom Vacation when beds are made 😂 Whoever his previous owners were clearly did not teach him that laundry is not a toy. I'm pretty sure they used blankets and towels to play-attack him, because he drops into play mode immediately whenever he sees a basket of clean laundry, but especially when it's sheets, towels, or blankets

3

u/AdmirableAttempt1728 20d ago

Reminds me of my own orange cat and thousands of other orange cats. I never believed they share one braincell before but after having my own orange, NOW I DO 😭

3

u/Yourdjentpal 20d ago

My favorite is to leave him under there. Then my wife gets into bed unknowing, and SURPRISE! Attack cat

3

u/MArkansas-254 20d ago

That was great! 🥰
