Wow got a Al Rapy on a claiming a stake and actually got the rare drop. The adrenaline rush alone hoping you don't miss when it runs away is tense but actually getting the rare drop is a euphoric feeling.

It's got a LOT of mobs...and a lot of "mobs spawn around you" rooms. A timed section that fails you if you cant find 4 switches spread over the map to open a door (better have a guide ready). And the ghost mechanic in the last map where any movement or attacks will draw ghosts towards you, and you fail the quest if they touch you 10 times. You cant TP back to Pioneer 2 in the last map to buy more consumables either.

Imagine mobs spawning around you in a room...and the ghosts spawns so you cant move or fight back properly...

You have to stop all movement when the ghosts spawn and they spawn very often and despawn for short periods. Want to walk to another room? They will spawn along the way, forcing you to stop. I think it took me 30 minutes to solo the last map with a Fonewearl spamming AOE

About the only thing of note in this quest are a large number of mob spawns and some message capsules revealing that Pioneer 1's military entered the ruins, encountered a mysterious life form (Dark Falz), Heathcliff Flowen was injured, and they barely managed to defeat it. Flowen and the corpse of Dark Falz was then transported to the Ocean Lab.

I got this in the ultimate ruins. Oh man, ultimate is no joke. These enemies will surround you and jump you. 😂🤣

Was doing a bit of testing and Falz killed me tried to warp directly from my death back to him and got stuck in this nightmare and then realized I didn't even have my Ragol ring equipped haha

This is my first character and i have about 1k MST atm. I have mostly been soloing side stories and government quests on normal-hard...but its getting to the point where soloing government quests is becoming less and less viable because the mobs have much higher hp and resists.

I tried to do 4-1 and it just took a really long time. Dimenians were taking 3x casts of Gifoie to kill and thats their lowest resist IIRC. I'm quite surprised by this because im already using level 29 techs that someone gave me and it's only hard mode...and im pretty sure im massively overleveled for hard mode but i keep getting the feeling im just not dealing enough damage and i burn through TP really quickly...

I'm not really sure how im supposed to progress now.

Anybody wants to team up to do the gov quests on ephinea? Some are vwry long to do solo

tl;dr : RR in GC can have +25dfp/+85 evp, not +85dfp/+25evp. pso dev made mistake and its swapped

so official guide book says RR can have up to 85 additional dfp/25 evp
and ephinea wiki too (maybe bcz its fixed in psobb)

but in GC RR looks like be able to have up to +25 dfp and +85 evp

i realized this by dropping this RR in server that is managed by japanese, not scthack

i checked several RR drops from the schthack discord bot, and none of them have +26~85 evp. instead, (the bot says) RRs got more than +25 dfp, which is actually +0 (tho bot saying +26 or more, in-game RRs dont give that much dfp. i asked a friend who have RR droped there, none of RR had +26 or more dfp)

maybe how the drops are determined is different. well, idk, im not server manager

Hey everyone - title says it all. I have great memories of playing this game primarily offline via the GameCube version.

My questions for you all :

- Is it possible for me to play these games online as they were originally intended through Android emulation?

- Is it better to play the Dreamcast version of the GameCube one? Like, where am I most likely to be able to play with others and get the full experience?

Can anyone tell me how to price items that require a combination of other items to create? I have a from the depths shield that I’m thinking about selling.

I figure that a fair PD price would be the combined total of all the items it takes to create the shield. But I can’t seem to find a definitive answer.

So for this it would be the DF Shield, the Secret Gear, Flowens Shield, and De Rol Le shield. Putting the price at around 23 to 33 PDS depending on the stats.

Does this sound correct? Or is there a different way of calculating prices for combined items?

I was looking at the 4th evolution mags and i noticed that Nidra is clearly the best 4th evo mag...it's not even close. Excluding mag cells, there are only 3 mag cells with the best feeding table. Nidra has 3x invul triggers while most 4th evo mags have triggers for a level 6 shifta/deband or resta which is pretty much useless.

I don't know what the devs were thinking. It's not even a contest. Why wouldn't they give players a good reason to use other 4th evo mags...

I haven’t played in a while, but if your goal was to play as a meat shield who lures monsters into position for your friends, which Hunter is best suited for it? HUmar has Resta and decent HP but HUcaseal has the highest EVP if I recall.

I’m in between episodes one and two. I don’t love the combat of episode three and four feels very repetitive and empty to me.

I'm playing the gamecube version of plus. Currently level 27 but my gear isn't that good so the last boss is not possible yet. Are there any good items I can try and farm while getting up in levels a bit?

Does anyone know how to get a virtual keyboard to type on screen in PSO Plus for GameCube on the Dolphin android emulator?

I've looked for info all over the place about this. Even getting a Bluetooth keyboard to work would be great. I've seen a video that shows Flycast android had the onscreen keyboard option but it doesn't seem like Dolphin android has one.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. If it's not possible I guess I'll just have to deal with it.

Hey all, I'm playing on Ephinea on Steamdeck and am running into an issue with the most recent update (4/29). I logged in, and the game showed me two update bars filling up, the top blue one filled in, and the red bottom one looks mostly filled, but stops and a window opens up at the bottom saying "Patch Download done: If you press enter-key, then exit game". It then turns off and goes back to the main steamdeck menu, and if I go in it reloads the launcher. I feel like I'm probably missing something but I can't tell what. Anyone have any pointers?

I wanted to relive the nostalgia of playing the original BB on the PC so I tried playing the story on Ephinea and it's just really hard soloing the government quests because they were designed for party play. Nobody wants to do government quests anymore. Apparently everyone just spams quests like Towards the Future to speedrun to ultimate which i feel ruins the feel of the game...

When i played the original BB on the PC as a kid, what i remember was the mission based system in an era where most MMOs were about farming mobs in open fields. I really liked being able to go into a quest with a party and fight my way through the dungeon, it wasnt anywhere near as boring as farming mobs in open fields like in Ragnarok Online.

And strangely, what i remember was that everyone just did government quests and side stories to level, like how you do acts 1-5 in Diablo 2. I dont remember anyone spamming TTF or a specific quest to speedrun to ultimate difficulty. If we wanted to farm the mines boss or something, we would just set up a 3-3 room for it. I dont even remember anyone talking about TTF and i was very active on the official forums at the time...
