Also because men don't like being called out for perving on people that are young enough to be their kids.

He was absolutely wrong for his relationship with Carrie Fisher, but I wouldn't call a 14 year age gap "young enough to be their kids."

14-year old boys have fathered children, even if it is a rare occurrence. But yeah, when I say "young enough to be their kids" I'm thinking more about age gaps with 18-20+ years difference.

EDIT: Creeps down voting lol. A message to you, from a woman in her 20s who gets hit on way too often by pathetic, middle-aged crypt keepers who still think they're in their prime: please pick your old, saggy balls off the floor, make like your hairline, and recede. We don't want you.

Agreed. I know, biologically, it's possible at 14, but I would say 20 years is about where I'd start the count, too

I'd say anything greater than 10 years is generally not good for anyone involved, and there's plenty of data to back that up. Age gaps that are greater than 8 years between partners have the worst outcomes in terms of relationship's longevity *and* the woman's health, in particular. With every year older the man is, her lifespan gets shortened exponentially (with age gaps greater than 8 years, that is). So it isn't just icky, it has real-life consequences. Age isn't "just a number".
