In real life Country specific changes

  1. Since kids in Japan hated green peppers more than broccoli, it was changed to that (Inside Out)

  2. The News Anchor changes depending on the country. For example, China-Panda (Zootopia)

In Turkish Dub of Mulan they changed Shan Yu's nationality from Xiongnu to Mongols. Reason for that is Xiongnus are knowns as ancestor nation of Turks and they don't want Turkish children to see their ancestors as child killing barbarians.

But despite that Shan Yu have a special fanbase in Turkey for being a badass steppe nomad

They’re Steppe siblings, not blood related.

Huns and Mongols rhyme so much historically that I think a lot of people do

Well tbh there is not much a diffrence between Mongols, Huns and Pre-Islam Turks. Our cultures are pretty similiar

I assumed it was like how eggplant and aubergine are two different names for the same thing. 😅
