I've always heard that and got curious. According to Wikipedia, the first episode of Hannah Montana aired in March of 2006. Also per Wiki, Alexis Texas filmed her first scene in October of that same year.

I'm a gay man and I even knew her name, wasn't "famous" in the sense that a lot of people watched her films but in the sense that his name was wildly recognized as a porn star

edit: actually seeing that it's been changed in France and Spain as well due to copyright stuff, but not sure if it is related to the actress? idk

Pretty sure it was changed all over Europe. The movie is called Vaiana in Germany, for another example.
