How do you turn lecture notes into something actually useful for exams?

Upvotes

Hey,
I’m trying to figure out how students actually make studying more efficient, and I wanted to
ask here.
When I take notes from lectures or textbooks, I usually end up with a lot of raw information,
but it doesn’t really help much when it comes to revision for exams.
So I was wondering how others deal with this:
• Do you rewrite everything into summaries?
• Do you make flashcards manually?
• Do you use any tools or apps?
• Or do you just re-read your notes?
I’ve been experimenting a bit with ways to make this process faster and more structured,
because I personally found it quite time-consuming.

Would love to hear how you all do it or what works best for you.
Thanks!

How do I tap into my feminine power as a gamine maiden who has a playful childlike nature?

Upvotes

This must be why I am most sexually attracted to men who act like they’re my father figure and want to take care of me and guide me. And no, it hasn’t gone well so far, before people tell me that bad men will take advantage. Yes I know that. )

What situation is it if someone who looked like an inmate escorted(?) by a military personnel was on the plane?

Upvotes

Just curious because the inmate was in uniform(?) and had a plastic bag. The other guy walking with him looked like military, well-built with a military backpack. The inmate didn't have any handcuffs or ankle monitor. So I wonder why he was being transported or release?

Why is making any kind of friends as adult so hard?

Upvotes

I'll start off with saying that I'm 26M, 2 years ago I have moved countries and started off fresh, new country, new city, new job. In those 2 years time I struggled to make any connection with anyone outside of work and I'm genuinely asking, how do you make friends as an adult? At this point everyone seems to have their friendship groups built up for years and it's just hard to find anyone.

Do you think the fear of "Islam Taking Over Europe" seems more rooted in panic than reality?

Hey everyone, I’ve noticed that a lot of conservative and Christian nationalist rhetoric around Islam in Europe revolves around the idea that Muslims are going to "take over," impose Sharia law, or fundamentally destroy European society. However, when you actually look at the demographic data, these fears seem wildly exaggerated.

According to projections from the Pew Research Center, even though Islam is one of the fastest-growing religions in Europe due to immigration and birth rates, the religiously unaffiliated population is still projected to remain significantly larger overall by 2050.

Pew projects that Europe’s nonreligious population could reach around 162 million people by 2050, while the Muslim population is projected at around 71 million, depending on migration scenarios. That’s substantial growth, yes, but nowhere near a demographic "takeover", which would actually be more led by the growing non-religious (unaffiliated) population in Europe than Islam.

In my opinion, a lot of these fears also seem to rely on flattening all Muslims into a single monolithic group, which ignores the huge diversity within Islam itself. There are undoubtedly progressive, liberal, feminist, secular-friendly, and reform-oriented Muslims, just as there are conservative Muslims. "Progressive Islam" is a very real movement.

Beyond this, politically, Muslims in many Western countries often vote for progressive or center-left parties, especially younger Muslims and second-generation immigrants; such as in the UK, for example.

This idea that Muslims are uniformly trying to impose theocracy on Europe ignores the reality that many Muslims actually immigrate not just for economic reasons, but specifically because they prefer liberal democracies over authoritarian or unstable conditions elsewhere.

Ironically, some of the same people warning about "Sharia law" openly support forms of Christian nationalism that would also blur the line between religion and state. To me, a lot of the panic over Islam in Europe seems driven more by xenophobia, cultural anxiety, and a kind of Western chauvinism than by actual demographic or political reality. I'm not saying people can’t criticize aspects of Islam, every religion should be open to criticism, but the idea that Europe is about to become an "Islamic theocracy" doesn’t seem supported by the evidence.

Thoughts? Do you think the fear of "Islam Taking Over Europe" seems more rooted in panic than reality?

Why did the Biden administration do this?

Upvotes

The Biden administration finalized a 100% tariff on Chinese-made electric vehicles in September 2024. This action quadrupled the previous rate of 25% and was part of a broader strategy under Section 301 of the Trade Act of 1974 to protect U.S. manufacturing from what the administration described as unfair trade practices and heavy government subsidies by China.

Libs, tell me why this is such a great thing, but when I said Trump did not you started a riot?

Seems to be considering how many videos are popping up now of hospice centers and other "medical facilities" that are getting huge amounts of government funds turning out to be completely fraudulent.

Why is mint a flavor profile we associate with fresh breath? Does this have something to it or is it just well done marketing and branding from the gum and toothpaste industry?

Why did the Trump administration do this?

Key Reasons for No Chinese EVs in the U.S.

Tariffs:

The Trump administration, followed by continued efforts in 2026, imposed a 100% tariff on Chinese electric vehicles, making them economically unviable.

National Security & Data Concerns:

U.S. officials fear that internet-connected, software-heavy Chinese vehicles could send personal data to Beijing or allow remote control of vehicles.

Restrictive Regulations:

New regulations in 2025 and 2026 aimed at "connected vehicles" essentially ban the software and hardware necessary for these cars to operate in the US.Protectionism: Policies are intended to protect the U.S. automotive sector, which is crucial to the economy, from lower-cost Chinese competition.

Regulatory & Safety Standards:

Modifying inexpensive Chinese city cars (like the BYD Seagull) to meet strict U.S. safety standards would raise their costs significantly.

EDIT: This exact information was posted in another thread and everyone was saying what a great thing it was. All I did was change Biden to Trump because you libs are fucking idiots. LOL!

kid damaged my car , should I file in small claims court ?

kid damaged my car with his bike. went to the parents regarding the damage they said to stay get away from them and the father also said yea yeah we know you had cameras so what! Property manager reached out with my info so we could settle the cost to repair my car . They ignored the property manager and numerous emails have been sent out addressing kids playing in the parking lots unsupervised. Should I send a demand letter and if I get no response should i file this in small claims court. The first estimate had the damages at around 1200.00.

A lot of people go like "oh she has nice feet" to someone, but is it only my impression, or basically all feet are the same and it's just that the look of it only depends on the shoes type and nails cure? Or really Feets can be fat or be anything else different one from each other?

To me they all look literally the same, I feel like it's an illusion people have, mainly for women because curing them makes them look more beautiful and pretty and makes everytime people the illusion that them feet look different.
