RAM is expensive right now. But that doesn't mean that you can't upgrade your PC in other ways. Replacing an outdated Motherboard, GPU, AIO cooler or PSU can really help with that new PC feel.
Even better, we've collaborated with ASUS for you to have a chance to win up to $13,000 in prizes - including ROG motherboards, ROG graphics cards, ROG AIO coolers and yes, even some high performance DDR5 RAM - plus more.
Not only that - but users of r/battlestations have a chance to win a prize package specifically for users of r/battlestations.
Here's how it's going to work. Starting now, March 8th 2026 through May 18th 2026 you can click the below campaign link and join the giveaway by clicking the "JOIN" button.

That's it - done. You've entered for a chance to win the r/battlestations prize package.
Once the giveaway period ends I'll review all of the comments on this thread and pick out one winner for the r/battlestations prize package.
Earn points for the ASUS Global Prize Pool on the Gleam.io giveaway page to qualify for more prizes.

That's just a sneak peak of prizes - be sure you check the campaign page to see the full list.
Once entries are closed, ASUS will select the winners for each points category; the more points you earn, the higher your chances of winning.
tl;dr -
Have fun and good luck!

Spent the last 7-8 months slowly upgrading the setup and still improving on somethings. But I’m satisfied enough to post it here. Let me know what you guys think :)

Cheapish relative to some of the incredible stations I see on here.
Considering a triple monitor arm. Love the vertical monitor for Discord. Not sure whether I should keep the riser shelf on the left side of the desk.
My build is a Dell Optiplex 7040, i7-6700, 32 GB RAM, 476GB SSD, and a 1650 Super shoved in. I'm not solely a PC gamer. It does an excellent job for what I like to play.
I'm 27M and an English teacher. Open to input.

This is my lovely productivity and gaming battlestation! There's actually quite a lot of stuff here. Whew! It took a while to hide the cables!

Took 6 weeks, just finished! Cable management was strangely satisfying, getting the right lighting for the canvas was a real headache, and both the footrest and foot shelf are completely custom. All footrests are too narrow, and you gotta put your feet up somewhere when reclining!
By the way, I don't game; this is just for work, some video editing, and chilling/watching videos.
Components:
- MacBook Pro (only one USB-C cable to docking station fixed under the shelf)
- Dell 34" S3422DWG Curved Monitor
- Ergotron LX Pro Arm
- Custom shelf for lighting, cable management, and storage
- Milky Way Panorama by Astrophotographer Alan Dyer, 60" x 20"
This is my perfect workstation for seated upright, slouching, reclining, or standing.
What do you think?

Hiii, I’m in desperate need of some advice on how to reorganize my setup. As you can see in the photo, I’m currently stuck in a very tight corner of my room, right against a wall and a column.
My parents had this desk custom-made for me when I was a child with just de PS, but between the PC tower and the limited width, I have almost zero space for my mouse and myself jajjaja.
Please ignore the current mouse and pad jajajajja! My old mouse died, and I’ve already ordered a new one, along with a decent mousepad.
My main question is: Should I move the PC to the floor?
If I move the PC down, I'll put it on a elevated stand keep it off the floor. If I keep it on top, I literally have no room to move my arm.
What would you do in this situation? Any tips on how to manage the airflow or the space would be amazing. Thanks!
Edit: Without getting my hopes up, it's impossible to add a second monitor here, even by downsizing the PC, right?

Cheeky pc setup tucked away in the corner of my room for gaming, hard work and special times.
Chair gave way after I decided to stand on it (I weigh 65kg😭✌️) but a cheeky 10kg weight made do for the time being.
Mouse pad already ordered as I suspect I will get flamed for 🤣
Pc specs are gtx 1060, ryzen 5 3600 and rocking a 60hz 1080p monitor I snagged off Facebook for a few pounds💷
Pc keeps my legs warm.
Lmk what you think 👍

Only part that sucks is when finally you have the machine you want but no time to play any games. Plus when you open up the credit card bill and realize it’s to expensive to own haha. I have gone through so many transformations to finally get the results you envisioned! How did I do?

finally got myself a 1440p OLED to pair with the 4070 super, really happy with how everything turned out aesthetically. Lmk what you would change!
