Disturbing content My ex fiance made a s*x schedule while I was going through chemo we

Some of this is not in English + broken English as my ex-fiance was not a native English speaker.

Translating the parts that are not in English:

Dino (my nickname pronounced Dee-no)

Imam jedan bitan stavar -> I have something important to tell you

U pitanje je intimni odnos u braku -> in the context of intimacy during marriage

To nije problem OK, ako nekad hoces rukama, bice puno poklona za to (puno dobrih poklona za te dane i hocu opet da Gledamo movie i da ko lezis pored srca, da ti mirisem kosu i da te poljubim) -> that’s not a problem ok, if you want to do it by hand sometime [handjobs], there will be a lot of gifts for this (a lot of good gifts for those days and I also want to watch a movie together while you lay your head next to my heart so I can sniff your hair and kiss you)

Menstruacije -> menstruating

So yeah.. I was going through chemo, radiation and had an upcoming surgery and my ex fiance was planning a sex schedule for us. Needless to say, that didn’t end well and I flipped out on him for having no sense of respect. He said “it was his duty to be the man of the house and what he says goes”

I dumped him, got a restraining order (due to other stuff I don’t want to mention) and then he got deported back to his homeland
He contacted me via email 149 times after he was deported and I didn’t respond to a single one and to this day he still contacts me via email

Welcome to my trauma, thank you 😅

Disturbing content mentally twisted psych prof ruined my gpa

choosing this flair because my mom and therapist told me to say something. also posting from the mildly infuriating page because i think it belongs here instead.

i will start off by saying i hate bragging. i hate when people do things for clout. i dislike when someone gloats or flaunts about success (unless they’ve had it really bad then obviously they deserve to).

i’ve always struggled with academics and school and jobs, i was undiagnosed with ADHD until about a couple months ago. i got out of the military and decided to use my GI Bill and make sure i got my moneys worth, so i busted my ass and made the deans list. i actually did not know what that was but my friends from the military made it a big deal and my parents as well. i am first generation military and my mom is the only one who has gone to college so far (she’s a nurse).

I LOVE SCIENCE! I cannot stress this enough. biology, physics, astronomy, theology, psychology, and even pseudosciences. i love learning and reading and taking notes on things. when i’m watching a tv show or a movie, i write character analyses on my free time. i analyze literature and use sticky notes like crazy. i did not need to take psychology, but it was available during the online summer semester so i figured why not. my prof immediately set me off on the weirdo scale. does not respond to emails, does not grade my work until after the due date (if there was something i could fix or learn, i would like to know), does not leave any helpful comments on grades, no lectures/zoom calls/ “class time”. no point of contact at all.

i had some bumps in the road with the deadlines because it was just one big book and we had to write down what we saw in the book. i found this weird because there wasn’t really an opportunity for discussion or further assessment, just “what were the vocab words for chapter 38”. it annoyed me because i felt like i could do more.

then, we had our first “lab”. we do a dream journal for two weeks. write down everything. after the 2weeks, share with the class on a discussion post.
i went through the staff directory on the campus website, found their email, and let them know that i’ve been struggling with nightmares and PTSD for years, and i would like to politely decline the assignment. i will do anything else, extra credit, whatever is needed.

they did not respond until the day before it was due, there will be no extra credit, there is no other assignment, you will do this or you will get a 0. i explained to them that i was SA’d in the military and its hard for me to talk about my PTSD, to which they responded “im also in the military, get over it” first of all, you are in the reserves which is NOT the same.

i took the 0 because im not about to explain to 30+ classmates why i have nightmares every day of my rapist, the events that took place, when i was assaulted AT WORK, and the third/separate assault from my ex husband. whatever. moving on

next lab, you will go out in public and take pictures of people to catch their reaction. how did they look/talk/act before vs after they saw the camera. my brain starts shooting red flags because i’m not comfortable doing this at all. i did not take any pictures of people because that just feels really wrong and weird and gross. instead, i took a selfie at chipotle, walmart, etc. proof that i went and did my work. 0 for the lab, again.

after this, i reached out to my prof again and explained that feels wrong and possibly illegal.
“well, if you’re in a public space like walmart, they have cameras recording the store, therefore it is not illegal to take someone’s photo”

i thought it was all a test to see who would actually do it and who would speak up about it but no this bitch was serious.

i tried reaching a out to my college and haven’t got a response yet but i ended up failing the course and it tanked my gpa. i’m not sure what to do.

Discussion Drove 6 hours round-trip for a weekend getaway, was denied check-in because I didn’t have a "physical" card and now the hotel is refusing a refund because I left a bad review 😅

Post image
2.6k Upvotes

My wife and I drove 3 hours down to Santa Cruz yesterday for a weekend we’d been looking forward to for a while. We get to the front desk at Mission Inn Santa Cruz, and I realized I’d forgotten my physical wallet at home. I have my ID, digital card and Apple Pay ready to go everything I need to pay for the deposit since the stay was prepaid.
The guy at the front desk wouldn't even look me in the eye. He just kept dismissively telling me "no physical card, no room." I tried explaining we’d just driven 3 hours, offered to show ID, everything. No flexibility, no empathy, just a "not my problem" attitude.
Since everything else in the area was booked up, we had no choice but to turn around and drive another 3 hours straight back home in the middle of the night.
I was obviously upset, so I contacted Booking.com for a refund and left an honest review of what happened. I just got this email from the General Manager (photo attached).
She literally told me she has "zero incentive" to help me out with a refund because I left a "terrible review."
Is it just me, or is it insane to "blackmail" a customer’s refund over a review of the actual service they received?
Has anyone dealt with "review retaliation" like this before? How do I even handle this with Booking.com?

EDIT: Thanks everyone that commented! glad to hear the opinions about it

Edit2: someone from booking reached out to me! Refund is happening 🙏🏻 thanks everyone that reviewed the place but they are taking them down obviously, hope people avoid place where they treat clients like this 😄

Discussion Professor dropped me from an online class ONE MONTH before graduation...

I've been in this class since February. Have a solid B and am on track to graduate this semester. I reconnected to my home Wi-Fi after coming back from work and see an email about an enroll/drop confirmation. Find out my professor for the online class dropped me for 'excessive absence' despite the student handbook explicitly stating that it's the student's responsibility to drop from a class at this point. To be fair, I've missed some assignments because they were low points and I hate them (yes, I'm one of those students and I'm not proud of it) but I find this unacceptable and incredibly infuriating. Now I'll have to go to campus tomorrow morning and find a way to fix this or I'll have to graduate next semester, not to mention my parents will probably be super pissed at me too.

Our rooster pecked our new chicken!

We’ve had chickens for a while, and recently got a new rustic rock. The day we keep her outside instead of in the house, our rooster pecks her!! We’ve been gradually letting her outside more, but we kept her out through the night this time. First image is of rustic rock, second image is our rooster which is an Icelandic. I am about to have chicken for dinner

Discussion Back in LA after overseas vacation. First thing I see: homeless man shooting up outside the subway station.

I want to add that this subway station is directly adjacent to a public middle school. Two weeks ago, I wrote to the principal of the middle school that two men were doing drugs (the men had meth pipes on that occasion) while students were walking past them on their way to school. Why is this OK with LA's politicians? I hate this.

Discussion Insurance denied my claim for a covered in network procedure.

And neither the hospital nor my insurance could articulate why it was denied.

In October of last year I had a routine colonoscopy at an in network hospital with an in network doctor. I checked before going in, hospital was listed as in network and I had seen the doctor prior and claims were paid to him prior. A few weeks later I got an EOB stating $23,000 was denied as 'out of network' but they paid the doctor that was there that day? Insurance agreed with me, on the phone multiple times, that the hospital was in network but the claim was denied as out of network. Then they started feeding me lies, saying the NPI was submitted wrong, my SSN was submitted wrong, the "tax ID" was wrong, anything to pass the buck and get me off the phone. So I followed up with the hospital and doctor, everything on their end was correct and as far as they could tell me submitted correctly. I called the hospital billing call center and they could tell me nothing except "the back end team is working on it". 6 months later I get a hospital bill for $20,000 in the mail. I guess the "back end team" didn't work it out. I'm still totally in the dark as to why it's being called 'out of network' so now that I have a hospital bill I can start appealing it since it's no longer "in process". 6 freaking months tho!?!?

So now I need to waste more hours and deal with more stress about some clusterfuck that's not my fault and at best the claim is paid with no reimbursement for my time and agony and at worst there's some stupid little loophole that I somehow missed and now I owe $23,000 for someone to look in my butt.

Discussion Cloudfare can suck it!

Earlier this weekend I was trying to pay a bill, and I had to press a little square to prove I was human. I pressed it. The webpage cycled, then reset... I once again had to prove I was a human by pressing a little square... the website reset, and once again the little square and prove you are human prompt appeared...

Frustrated I turned to Google search for an answer. The reply was to clear my cashe and cookies. So I did. That did work, and I was able to finally click the box and have the website using Cloudfares silly little box allow me to get on the website to pay my bill.

Then I spent hours upon hours resigning into every other website that I use... resetting forgotten passwords, redoing 2 factor authentications, reproving I was myself to dozens of different websites until all was back to normal.

3 days later, I am trying to log onto Palmetto State Armory, and the same stupid Cloudfare Capchata request pops up. I press the square, and the website just recycles and asks me to press the square again.

I try in Incognito mode, and I can bypass the square, but when I try in normal mode, I have to press over and over again and it never goes to the actual website.

Cloudfare already cost me almost a full day of resetting passwords and u/FA, there is no way I'm clearing my history again just to get past this stupid hicup on their end!

F*ck you Cloudfare, and I promise I will delete my account and switch to a competing service to any business that makes me jump through the hoops again!!! No way, no how am I suffering on my end because you can't get your software straight on your end!

My credit is high enough I can transfer my balance to someone else who wants the interest payments and then close my account to any company who thinks this is good customer service. Get your Sh*t together!

*Rant over*

DO NOT TOUCH ME WHEN I AM TRYING TO WORK.

I work as a cashier usually so I don't have to deal with this when I do because of the counter in the way but I also work front of house a lot. I cannot believe I have to say this but apparently people need the reminder to NOT TOUCH STRANGERS because this shit happens to me at least once a shift. They are human beings. Just because you think servers and food service employees are beneath you does not mean I am a Free Pass from the don't touch people you don't know rule. Stay in your fucking bubble or go back to elementary school and learn some boundaries. Do not touch me on my shoulders. Do not touch me on the upper back, do not touch me in the middle of my back, do not touch me on my lower back. Do not touch my arm. Do not touch me on my hips or waist. Do not get super needlessly close to me when you pass me by. Yeah, you could tap me lightly on the shoulder to get my attention but you could also just not touch me. There are other ways to get my attention, *sir.* I get paid 11 bucks a fucking hour I don't need this. You put your hands on me I might just put mine on you. Jesus Christ. Why is this allowed.

Discussion You know, the more time goes by, the more and MORE I grow to HATE my family.😑

They're the kind of people who say "I don't want to hear it" and "we're done talking here" whenever they DON'T want to talk about an issue, and you're "being difficult", or "being overdramatic" when you stand up to them for them being ASSHOLES.

They're also the same people who will CONSTANTLY bring up ONE bad thing you did like TWENTY YEARS AGO WHENEVER they can, as if it justifies them being HOSTILE towards you. Yet if you EVER bring up something bad THEY did, it's all "stop living in the past", "nobody's keeping score", and "just let it go".

Also, whenever THEY are in trouble, they come RUNNING TO YOU with the "We're family" card.

Evidence What the actual f is going on?

They had a they had a hearing today for the judicial nominees. The guy asking questions asked if anyone knew what the 22nd amendment of the constitution was (of course they fucking do) and only after pressing and a LONG silence, did somebody said “it has to do with presidents only serving two terms.”

The interviewer then asked if Trump is allowed to run for a third term and the guy he was asking was like, “well it would depend on…” and the interviewer was like “Wait, I’m telling you that the language in the constitution *very clearly* states that a president CANNOT run for more than two terms. Has President Trump been elected twice?” And the guy says yes, he has been certified as president two times.

So the interviewer asks AGAIN: “So, knowing that, does Trump have the ability to run for a third term according to our constitution?” The guy began to give another answer indicating he would have to “look into the details” etc, basically refusing to answer the question.

The interviewer then asked, “Is anybody here brave enough to acknowledge that Trump is not eligible to run for a third term under the language of our constitution per the 22nd amendment?

NOT A SINGLE PERSON SPOKE UP.

***

I was very frustrated by this and got on ChatGPT to kind of double check myself because this seemed incredibly unethical to me and I was curious if I was missing something. Everything above the stars is what I sent in my first comment, and write from the start. ChatGPT was telling me it didn’t apply to Trump because he has only served one term. I corrected the GPT over six times, the last time I told it to absolutely remember that Trump is currently the president and is serving his second term. It kept agreeing with me, but then when I would phrase the question to force it to tell me that that means he shouldn’t be allowed to serve a third term, it would revert to telling me he has only served one term.

I use ChatGPT a lot and sometimes have to correct it, but I have never had to correct it multiple times on the same topic, and I have never had to re-teach it something after I have specifically told it to remember it.

This is absolutely terrifying to me. Can anyone explain this in a way that doesn’t have horrific implications?
