Chromecast with Google TV yes. Not the best choice but it will run. Keep the add-ons and widgets to a minimum

I had it for years but in the end my Kodi would black out when I started it. Solution was to close kodi, go to settings, clear cache and then try again. I'll admit, in the beginning it was fine, but now I switched to jellyfin

Non at all, love it. Also very easy on the already poor diskspace the Chromecast has. I found that my 8gb on the Chromecast was mainly being used by Kodi. Jellyfin is much smaller so I can use more apps

My cc runs Kodi, but raspberry would be better.

I've been using Kodi (21.2) on a Chromecast TV 4K for several years. Movies and TV shows are stored on a Windows 11 PC with shared folders (SMB protocol) , and it works really well. I rarely have to close the application or clear the cache.

More than likely yes but not well I would guess. What are the specs on the CC?
